Good evening mam Please check my answer. According to Abraham Lincoln: democracy is the govt of the people for the people and by the people. So, it is a modern liberal form of govt that is based on people's consent. People are supreme in a democracy. In a democratic govt dignity of the individual is respected.As according to Dr B..R Ambedkar it is disgraceful to violate anyones dignity. Equality and freedom is also promoted. Example article 14 to 18 is based on right to equality and article 19 to 22 is based on right to freedom. In a democracy elected representatives are accountable to people for their every decision. In this way democracy ensures governance based on people's beliefs. Democratic government provides justice to all through judiciary. All are equal before the law and nobody is above the law. So to conclude we can say that democracy is the best form of govt which possesses very diverse features and it is the govt in which power of decision making lies with the people. It is the govt which works according the needs and aspirations of people.

Sry but you qre wrong in this statement mam...ki...it is wrong that Democracy is expanded through the 20th ... Democracy is expanded in 20th century... Yes there is Other form government which was spreading and accepted by ruler.... But it doesn't mean that upper statement is wrong..
