What is Climate Change? | Start Here

The hard facts about global warming - a defining issue of our time.
Climate change is happening now, and even world leaders meeting for climate talks at this year’s Cop25 know we aren’t doing enough to stop it.
In fact, we’re going backwards. The UN says carbon dioxide levels in our atmosphere are going up, and the earth is on track to warm by 3.2 degrees before the century is over. The consequences of that acceleration are already proving disastrous for communities around the world.
This week’s episode of Start Here cuts through the science and the politics, to get you what you need to know about what’s at stake for the planet.

But it is not so obvious where to draw the line, more growth sometimes helps the environment by taking other problem from people lives they can worry about climate change. Of course, some plans of action are obvious without a bad side, like collective transportation, it's a win-win, but Uber did more for that than most governments. Also research, investment in research is always a win.

Managing Climate Change Introduction The concern for climate change underscores the dangerous impacts of climate change across the world. Climate change relates to changes in the climate which can be observed in the prevailing weather conditions as well as through the use of scientific instruments. Climate change is diverse, and its impacts on the world over time will be catastrophic to human beings and affect their existence (Javadinejad et al., 2021). In recognition of the danger posed by climate change, prominent organizations and governments have devised ways to handle climate change. These measures are aimed at arresting and stopping the continued deviation in climate change and which will eventually have drastic impacts on the lives of human beings. This article highlights the different measures taken by various organizations, and which are aimed at alleviating climate change, successes and failures realized, and proposals on mitigating the impact of climate change. The management of climate change relates to drastic measures taken by the organization to curb increasing measures tied to climate change. Ideally, climate change is a concern for both individuals, organizations, and governments. Measures to mitigate the dangers of climate change have been taken by various organizations (Thomas et al., 2019). These measures capture the local and worldwide perspective realized concerning the control of climate change across the world. measures taken to curb climate change are diverse, and their influence across organizations is diverse, yet they have not all yielded success in the control of climate change. Successful Measures Realized in the Control of Climate Change Many measures have been devised to help in the control of alienate change. These measures have been implemented from both a local perspective and in the international arena. The following are some of the measures that have been adopted across the world and that have yielded a positive impact on the control and management of climate change.: Planting Trees One of the major ways in which climate change, as noticed in various communities has been harnessed is through the planting of trees. Planting trees is an initiative of local communities in various communities across the world. Success derived from these communities is realized in better weather conditions in the various regions where the idea of man-made forests has been embraced. Weather is an aspect of climate in the present and its implementation indicates a positive transition in the weather conditions in various regions. The positive rates realized in regions where planting of trees has been embraced indicate the viability of weather and the different climatic conditions which must be realized across organizations. Planting trees helped in improving weather conditions in various regions as trees are huge producers of oxygen gas during photosynthesis. The significance of the improvement in weather conditions in various regions indicates that a large-scale improvisation of the same ideas on a large scale will lead to a positive change in climatic conditions across the world (Armstrong et al., 2018). Tree planting is thus a very vital element in the management of climate conditions across the world. these measures depict the positive implements realized with the planting of trees, and thus depict the necessary actions in organizations that indicate an increase in the management of weather climate change. Design and Development of Hybrid Electric Vehicles On a large scale perceive, electric vehicles have been developed to use little resources from the environment. The measures are taken to develop EVs give credence to the reliability and a reduction in carbon emissions as previously underscored in communities with a diversified network of operations. the development of both hybrid and electric vehicles gives the positive stance realized in organizations concerning a reduction in emissions. The development of hybrid and electric vehicles has contributed greatly to the reduction of dangers meted by carbon emissions across the world (Or et al., 2020). the use of EVs and hybrid vehicles gives them give little emissions even when they are used in a small region. The use of EVs serve to has led to better communal living with reduced carbon from vehicles. The development of EVs and hybrid vehicles is thus a positive measure that has been adopted across the world to reduce the impacts of climate change in various communities. EVs and hybrid vehicles are a successful measure in the management of climate change since they give little emissions to the atmosphere, and since they play a huge part in the travel infrastructure, they serve to care for the various aspects of positive trends in the control of climate change across the world. EVs and hybrids are measures that influence the whole world as these vehicles are used across the world. The use of EVs has led is a development that has helped to reduce carbon emissions to the environment especially in vehicles. Failures of Management of Climate Change Measures to combat climate change are not always successful. The implementation of these measures and that communities interact effectively with each other and support the various programs developed to ensure that curb the adverse effects of climate change. The following are some of the measures devised to manage climate change but were not successful. Statutes to manage human behavior In a bid to manage climate change, and with the realization that climate change is an outcome-driven by individual human beings across the world, there have been statutes implemented to govern the behavior of communities. The changes devised are a conglomeration of control to the lifestyle of people in communities. These statutes sought to encourage human beings to change their behavior patterns in the various organizations and therefore help to reduce changes in the climate across the world. The implementation of these policies was deemed a failure and they were not executed to effectiveness. Human beings are creatures of habit. A change in the different habits in the general populace across the world has not been realized. The expectation that climate change will be arrested by engaging the whole human populace to adhere to a specific set of rules which did not yield the expected outcomes in communities (Allard, 2021). The proposed statutes sought to encourage a minimalistic approach to living and which would reduce the worldwide perception of mass human interactions. These laws were not effective and they did not realize the purpose intended, that is to improve reduce emissions in the world. Future Prospects of Management of Climate Change To endorse and realize better outcomes in communities and across the world concerning the idea of climate change, the following measures can be adopted. Educating the public on climate change Climate change is a commonly perceived agenda that all human beings across the planet have been exposed to the relevance of the control and management of climate change in communities. Future measures to curb climate change will be realized if the message to change climate change is shared as a responsibility (Corry, 2017). Present trends in sharing information related to the necessity of climate change are tied to the dangers of past behaviors and indications of the actions that have put the world on an edge concerning climatic changes observed. The information depicted includes drylands, burning fossil fuels, and the huge factories putting off waste on resources. This information makes climate change a precarious task. Communities perceive the idea of climate change as an unmanageable problem and which lies beyond the ability of individual human beings. The alternate approach can be adopted to teach communities the various activities in which they can engage in, and which will lead to a reduction of global climate change (Orgill et al., 2019). An encouragement of minor activities that can be handled by all people in communities will encourage them to put up ab action to help mitigate the deterioration of climate change. Use of renewable energy sources One of the major causes of climate change is the use of nonrenewable sources of energy, especially fossil fuels. Measures that can be used in the future to help manage climate change are the use of renewable sources of energy. The primary source of renewable energy is the sun. With the unlimited renewable source of energy from the sun, communities will realize an improvement in climate change (Cavicchioli et al., 2019). Other sources of renewable sources of energy include hot springs and the generation of electricity using gravity and wind. With these measures in place, the trends of climate change will be reversed, as there will be minimum emissions to the environment. Conclusion Climate change is a potential threat to the existence of human beings and living things on planet earth. There is a need to have measures to mitigate the increasing deterioration of climate change. Previous attempts taken to control climate change have proven to have not realized major success. Successful measures in the control of climate change have been the planting of trees and the use of hybrid and electric vehicles. Unsuccessful efforts to manage climate change was the implementation of statutes governing behavior that would lead to a reduction in climate change. Prospects aimed at the improvement of climate is education to the public and the use and development of renewable energy.

Greta Thunberg Leo di Caprio Al Gore Joe Biden and the British Royal family are doing more to “save the planet” than the rest of the world put together. They are explaining the science. The Bible is thousands of years old and talks about the deserts in the Middle East it talks about droughts and famine. But thanks to Greta and King Charles we now know the Bible was talking about NOW and climate change. We know that droughts are new, floods are new, earthquakes are new, hurricanes in Florida are all new, shrinking rainforest are new. It’s all due to CO2 emissions of normal working class people. Before 2020 there has never been an illness that could wipe out millions of people. Before 2020 all vaccines were wrong, we now know you are supposed to take vaccines every year. Before 2020 volcanoes earthquakes hurricanes blizzards melting ice floating icebergs that could sink a ship never happened. We all need to get vaccinated against climate change now. CO2 is required by plants and trees. We need to stop CO2 we need stop plants NOW. THE UNITED NATIONS says so. They have all worked together and now we need to do our bit and send world leaders on private planes to all the capital cities to stay at all the luxury hotels to tell us what need to do. There are problems with food supplies and prices are going up. But this is because the war in the Ukraine, so if Ukraine has a democracy there will be universal peace in the Middle East and every commodity will be 100 per cent cheaper so world hunger will cease and energy will be free. These are the facts. Unless you’re a world leader or celebrity. You are personally causing a catastrophe

I don't see why there is strong opposition among skeptics against climate change. I mean even if climate change advocates are exaggerating the issue, what harm is there to implement greener methods and consume less and treat our planet better? I mean it doesn't hurt to at least try to take care of this planet better and waste less and pollute less. I just don't get how people can think its okay to keep consuming and abusing this planet endlessly with no repercussions.

👍 You are right, but under our present definition of 'profit' your ideas would cause major worldwide bankruptcies and staggering inflation. I agree with what you say here, but in order for these kinds of ideas to help reverse man-made climate change, the U.N. must first create a new 'Global Economic Model' GEM that is based on a better definition of 'profit'. I recommend this definition: "Profit = our gratefulness and loving care for the environment and sustenance that it provides to all of us". Regarding over population, we could try a global law of only two children per family. Again, two kids per family, under our old definition of 'profit' would also cause staggering inflation and bankruptcy. The dictionary definition is backwards to nature's economy because with "profit = income - expenses", the entire environment (including us), make up the expense part of the equation. Businesses must avoid and or eliminate all expenses. I think of the present definition of profit as a model for misbehavior towards the entire environment.

Just a guy who has been studying it since the 1970's when some of the same Climatologists who were scaremongering about "Global Cooling" and the alleged coming mini-ice age and then stfu for a few years when the earth began to warm. Then some of these same Climate scientists began scaremongering about "Global Warming" as their gov't masters and funders commanded then to. There's a reason they have ducked every challenge to debate the science from opposing Climate experts. They know they'd get an intellectual beatdown and have their whole house-of-cards scam collapse as if hit by a Category 5 hurricane. Guess they prefer propaganda, indoctrination, suppression of counterevidence, persecution and censorship than fair and well moderated official debates. A dumbed down populace with the majority not even knowing how to examine evidence critically or are just too lazy or uninterested makes it much easier to keep the Climate Armageddon scam going.

The year is 2071, Revolutions started all around the world. Governments were overwhelmed by the sheer number of people. World Leaders were overthrown by Leaders who would actually take action. After that, projects funded by the UN would emerge and new technologies would appear. The world would be a better place again. But the past would bite back. The successors of these great leaders were greedy. Once they felt their power, they wanted more. Resource Wars would start and countries would collapse. Violence would become everyday life. The leaders were ambitious. The World warned them but they didn’t care. So the World took action. Power lines were rerouted and military would be misguided. The World forced their corrupted leaders out of power. The World would take 30 years to become back to normal. Society would be back to normal. Or at least for them.

Well explained indeed! While it is imperative that we all understand Climate Change, what causes it and how to tackle it, the call of the hour is that our CHILDREN understand it. Let's face it - our generation has mad a holy mess of managing Climate Change. The least we can do now is empower our kids with the knowledge and tools they need, along with the motivation to tackle Climate Change. While we put in place action plans to tackle the crisis, this is equally important!

@@trollrat2828 - Dairy cows are artificially inseminated (basically r*ped) and only female calves are kept to become dairy cows themselves. Male calves are taken from their mothers at one or two days old (same as female calves for dairy), and sent to slaughter or raised in restrictive stalls for 6 weeks, then slaughtered and their flesh is sold as veal. Certain breeds of cows and bulls are purposefully bred for their meat. _Humans_ who consume beef are the _problem,_ who create the demand, and thus the excessive methane gas from cattle that's destroying the ozone layer. Same with pig farming. If each person eliminated or reduced their consumption of meat in favour of nutritious, plant-based meals, it would reduce the amount of methane gas produced by animals in factory farming, as well as the misery they face from birth to slaughter. I haven't eaten red meat since 1987; my choice was an ethical one, to eat a mainly plant-based diet (chicken, eggs & fish rarely), which isn't hard to do these days, as delicious, vegan options are now widely available, and can also be made from scratch. The incidence of certain types of disease/health issues are lessened by not consuming meat - many cultures, like Asian and South Asian, have lower rates because of their traditional diets, which mainly consist of plants, grains and protein-rich legumes. _You_ can make a difference. Gas-powered automobiles are another big contributor to ozone depletion, so electric cars are a positive solution. Big industry is the largest global polluter, and it's not regulated enough (lobbyists work to find loopholes). Illegal dumping of waste into lakes and rivers, and exhaust from manufacturing plants producing _billions_ of petroleum products annually, including ubiquitous plastic ones that _never biodegrade,_ are destroying our planet. The Earth can no longer sustain the amount of toxic garbage we carelessly buy, use until it breaks or a shiny new version comes out (because ego-driven humans seek status), then discard into landfill sites - the contents of which _never biodegrade_ but become micro-plastics, or otherwise poison the soil, water, trees, plants and wildlife.

It was well said in this video that a finite world/ planet cannot have infinite. We (every individual) should take the ownership to protect the planet Earth. Our motto should be "Our World" not "My World". There should be "Collaboration" not "Competition" among nations and finally there should be "Equity" not "Disparity" within a nation. We can't come together because every individual has their own personal problem from poverty to careers only those who have reached the top of Maslow's pyramid can act upon climate change because they have no other problems to mind. While those below can't unless climate change will affect their lives personally

Yes we do, let us start by staying positive and being grateful to what we have whether it is plenty or few. Our good attitude in life will mostly likely reflect a good and positive reaction to our neighbors and all those around us. Stay humble and kind, people of the Earth. Howdy, from the Nevada Desert, U.S.A.!

To pevent climate change we need a mass movement.. yes ofcourse we can reverse it.. this is the reason for each country to get united and fight against this issue... we have great manpower we just have to concentrate it on this issue .. and work on different factors to reverse climate change.. we have our schools ,colleges , government servants, armies and most importantly this is the responsibility of each and every individual... governments should guide citizens to reverse climate change... 💯💯💯 💯💯💯💯 Factors we have to concentrate... 1.Planting more trees 2.Using green energy 3.Building up technology to suck up extra Co2 from atmosphere And many more

If all the people that really believes that the temperature rises because of the CO2 emission, start to follow the advices of the experts, I think we should manage to get this problem under control. The people that does not believe it, may then go on driving their cars, flying around the world and continue to eat meat. It is in a way unjust if people that does not believe such theories should be forced to do certain things because other people thnk they should.
