5 DELICIOUS DINNER RECIPES to support your weight loss: www.chefaj.com/5-delicious-lo...
HI, I'm Chef AJ. I first became fat at the age of 5. By the age of 11 I weighed 160 pounds and i wasn't even 5 feet tall! (That's obese). In my 20's I weighed nearly 200 pounds and I'm barely 5'6"tall!!!
In my 50's I learned the #1 secret to weight loss from the doctors at the The TrueNorth Health center (Dr, Doug Lisle and Dr. alan Goldhamer, the authors of the groundbreaking book, The Pleasure Trap).
The explained o me that the reason I was fat was not because I had emotional problems, nut because I had MATH problems. And once they explained the principles of calorie density to me, and I applied them on a daily basis, I was able to easily lose 50 pounds and have kept if off over 7 years now!!!
No more counting calories, carbs or points.! No more weighing and measuring your food on a scale! No more going hungry!!! When you truly understand, and implement, the calorie density secret, you truly can eat up, slim down and get healthy!!!
If you'd like to learn more about calorie density, please check out my Amazon bestseller, The Secrets To Ultimate Weight Loss.
Thank you Justin Cornell for allowing me to share this fabulous interview on my channel.

This is so great. I'm on day 27 - no sugar, oil, flour, alcohol, salt. I tried to eat some walnuts the other day and find that my tastes have changed. I find nuts are WAY too rich for me now. I don't even WANT to eat overt fats anymore. I never thought I'd be able to say that. My tastebuds have been reset at this point, thanks to this way of eating. THANK YOU for all you do and spreading the word, Chef AJ.

I hope i can do that one day, when someone asks me WHY DO U ONLY EAT PLANTS? id love to just rattle off all the health benefits of veganism, and the principles of caloric density and especially, how good carbs CAN be your best friend! thats gotta be better than what i said the last time i was asked. i said "because i read about the meat factories and how terrified the poor animals are, tightly corralled & lined up, waiting their turn to be killed and theyre forced to listen to their mates scream ahead of them and they try to run but they cant!" then i burst into tears and ran from the room. geez.

Cindy Hetrick. Please watch this video. Understanding the principles of caloric density is a good start. Search for the KZread channel of Dr. John McDougall, MD. He has a great advice about healthy eating and weight loss. For great recipes chef AJ channel is great. Just realize carbohydrates are not enemy in weight loss. The foods you must avoid are: all plant oils (olive oil, sunflower oil, coconut oil, etc.); milk and dairy products like cheese; eggs; all meat products including fish. The foods you must eat are: all veggies you like; fruits like apples, oranges, pears, bananas, strawberries, berries (avoid coconuts, avocados and nuts because they have higher fat content and are more caloric dense); beans; etc. The basis of your meals should be potatoes ( boiled or oven baked not fried remember no oil); whole rice with beans and veggies ( just remember no oil); whole wheat pasta with veggies tomato sauce (just remember no oil, no cheese, no meat no fish). If you are currently taking any blood lowering pressure medication consult your doctor first. Starch is not the enemy, greasy and fatty food is. Remember: “The fat you eat is the fat you wear.”;”The problem is the food.”;”The solution is starch.” I hope I helped, sorry about the poor English. Eating like this you can eat until you feel full. You don’t need to restrict food you can eat big volumes of food with adequate caloric intake. Believe me it’s not hard.

Though the potatoes and other starches are low in calories, you still can't eat as much as you wish even if you ate a large amount of plain, non starchy vegetables along side that. After a month or so I kept getting up during the night to pee. After too many times, I wound up with a urinary tract infection. Never had one in my life till I ate this way. It was all the sugar I've been peeing out because that's how the body gets rid of it.

Healthy fats such as. nuts, seeds and avocados are fine depending on your weight loss goals--if you're not losing, you would have to eliminate them or drastically reduce the quantity. Regarding protein, you get that from beans, legumes, soy products, quinoa and nuts and seeds(if you are eating them). Plus all vegetables and starches contain some protein and fat. Hello Chef AJ! If a food is Calorie Dense that means foods are high in energy and low in nutrients. These foods are processed and or package foods. Is this title in error? The foods you are eating are raw whole foods like vegetables, fruits, potatoes, etc. The title can give people the wrong message if they don't understand how it works.

Are you hungry when you eat? After menopause we need less calories and the ones we get, should be from healthy food. A huge help is the potato diet (elimination diet) by Dr McDougall. If you eat just potatoes and drink water for a day, your body can reset. I'm seeing results by following Chef AJ advice. I'm still using a little bit of natural fat: I'm using 1 spoon of ground flax seeds in the morning with my breakfast (oatmeal) and 2 spoons of sunflower seeds which I ground and mix with 2 spoons of lemon juice, 2 of water and 1 of apple cider vinegar as a dressing for my huge salad. I eat lots of fruits (strawberries, mango, banana), veggies (broccoli, asparagus etc.), 1 cup of beans or other legumes and potatoes, rice and other starches. Normal people would consume 2000 cal. daily. I feel full and fine when I consume 1400 to 1700 every day. I track my food with Cronometer. I walk for 1 hour almost every day. Oils did the difference for me and I also stay away from refined sugar like in candies, cakes etc. kzread.info/dash/bejne/k6JpsqOIgKe9hLw.html kzread.info/dash/bejne/Y2GI1KqrfavHn9o.html

@@thetree7694 Hi! Thank you for your interest. I must say that I'm not a doctor but I have been listening to interviews and watching documentaries about nutrition every day in the last 5 years. I like to make a smoothie with spinach but I don't drink it every day. It's better to alternate greens. For my smoothie I use half pineapple, a handful of fresh spinach, 1-2 bananas (depending on how sweet the fruits are), ground flax seeds and 1 cup of soy milk. I usually make it also with some frozen spinach which I thaw the night before. At the moment I only buy frozen spinach because the fresh one comes in huge packages and goes bad quickly. I also add it to soups or stews, to noodles or casseroles. I even add it to my quiche muffins or to rollups. kzread.info/dash/bejne/lY2CzpWtZZeserQ.html I used to add raw broccoli to smoothies and salads, however, I prefer steaming them or cooking them in little water and use them together with the liquid. For example for recipes like these: kzread.info/dash/bejne/qKabucRyhry9Zaw.html There is a pasta dish made with broccoli pesto which I often use. It is simple and very good. I think you might understand the steps by watching the video. Otherwise let me know and I'll help you. ;) kzread.info/dash/bejne/gqyK2bKNj8bck5s.html The Canadian Will Yeoung has great dishes like ramen with broccoli: kzread.info/dash/bejne/Y3eCw9idY6rFgdY.html As for milk... I'm vegan so I don't use cow's milk. That's because I used a lot of dairy products in the past and it has affected my hormones. My father used to drink milk every day and he had problems with prostate. It had to be removed. Later I read the the cow's estrogen affect both the female and male hormones. That made a lot of sense to me so I stopped consuming them 5 years ago. Black tea and coffee put the body to some extra pressure and I don't drink them. It's easy for me because I've never really felt attracted to them. Eggs in general are very acidic and have no fiber but a lot of cholesterol. I watched some clips by Dr Greger and by Erin Janus and stopped eating them. I use other food instead like tofu for scrambled eggs, aquafaba for desserts. Eggs are like ... a chicken's period. Chicken were bred to lay one or more eggs a day. It's like for women having their period every day. It's very taxing for the hens' health (see link below). (Is one egg a day too much?) kzread.info/dash/bejne/daKBo7exmJvSmLQ.html (who says eggs aren't safe?) kzread.info/dash/bejne/hKh7yJR_pd2xn5c.html (Eggs are scary) kzread.info/dash/bejne/p6iEzaaJY7edgpc.html Will Yeoung even has even made vegan eggs with cashews ;) kzread.info/dash/bejne/iHtnr9Frn66vfKw.html Protein is in each food, even in salads. I use Cronometer to check my daily intake for fun and to make experiments even if some levels are too high for vegans (for example if you don't eat acidic foods like meat and dairy, you need half the calcium suggested by Cronometer). cronometer.com/# According to Dr McDougall, we shouldn't consume too much protein because it puts stress on the kidneys. I think he discussed it during an interview about the urinary tract. kzread.info/dash/bejne/lmtsupmum8nWl5c.html One cup legumes a day like beans, chickpeas, lentils etc. are enough. For example in breast milk there is only 2-4% protein but babies grow. Adults don't need to grow. They only need to keep the cells nourished. Proteins are also a bit acidic so one really shouldn't exaggerate. I hope I could help you! Take care!

If I’m reading a label for the calories per serving and that amount is high doesn’t that mean the calories per pound will also be high? If so, couldn’t you just go off of calories per serving of a food to understand calorie density and use it for weight loss?

If you're reading a label, you're probably looking at a processed food. One of the benefits of calorie density is not counting calories because everything you are eating is not processed and is to the left of the red line, so it's almost impossible to eat too many calories in a day.
