An AI (I personally call that concept artificial stupidity, AS) doesn't exist and will never exist, because it can't know (what? you don't know why it can't? are you even human or more like an insect?) that it doesn't know anything.

Undoubtedly, it facilitated the understanding about how each branch of AI performs. Secondly, it's incredible how you synthesized the information about each branch and delivered to us. Raj, this video is just awesome!! I really love , how you were able to fit in so much within just 5 minutes and that too in such fluid fashion and it does not feel cramped too at all. Great content collation & presentation . Very informative and I will be sharing on twitter too. A very very minor comment would be that examples for supervised and reinforced learning were awesome , only for unsupervised I felt as if I was wanting a little more info as to what the unuspervised learning allows AI to accomplish wrt celestial bodies. I will definitely be looking into your other stuff. I am glad at discovering you!!

Yeah, I kind of just pulled that example of unsupervised learning randomly (though NASA has used this particular technique to classify celestial objects!). Could have used one about how machines learn to play the game PacMan without explicitly training it. Thanks for sharing my videos as well, Amit.

At one point you mention that there are two ways of thinking how AI can be achieved. You then further describe machine learning. But I was mostly interested in symbolic learning, since machine learning is already described very well in other sources. Your descriptions are nice and easily understandable, thank you very much. Maybe you could add another video on symbolic learning some day :)

Simple and effective explanation. Sir, I have a small clarification, at 4:00 in the video you said "assigning new customers to groups then its called classification." Sir, as I understand grouping is called Clustering i.e unsupervised learning (finding similar patterns or relationships) and assigning the new data-point to any one of the pre-defined classes is called classification. Can you please explain me the terms : Grouping, Clustering and Classification and in which context to use them? Thanks in advance. Sincerely, Sandeep Deshpande.

Hi Raj, you cite two ML outcomes: classification or prediction. I'm unsure where that leaves reinforcement learning. Is it's outcome (achieving a goal) viewed as exploiting both, or as an outcome in it's own right? Thanks!

Reinforcement learning is kind of a mixture of both and at the same time, it's not. Unlike the other two ways of teaching a model, you have an agent, an environment and a goal. You don't tell the agent what to do but you supervise it's actions to make sure it goes the right way (punish/reward system) That's why it's regarded as a third type of learning.

Thanks, clear explanation. I guess that the whole video covers only the 'weak AI' field. Could you please let us know what is the state of the art on 'strong AI'. I mean that nevertheless theses concepts on the video is also the base for strong AI, are there some additional concepts?

All AI that we have so far are weak AI, in the sense that they solve narrow problems. Strong AI, in contrast, behaves more like the human brain, having the ability to solve many kinds of problems. The video is a very short summary of all we know of AI. We have only had success applying it to narrow problems - hence weak AI. There are no special techniques for strong AI (yet).

This is one of the best videos on AI , ML and related concepts. Thank you sir for you efforts in making this video. Simple and Great.

Please go through this comment till the end and give your valuable suggestions. I'm a web developer since 3 years (angular hands-on for two years out of those three) I'm interested in AI. Before watching this video I had no depth understanding of this subject. Thanks to you that I now know the clarification of AI. I'm interested to pursue masters in AI, not just soon, but very soon I want to start (say in 2to3 months) Do you think a web developer can complete the AI masters? And become a mastery. Yes a human can achieve everything, I know that.. I just wanted to know the scope of AI, for a web developer to pursue. Will that be a complete new turn? What are major prerequisite to pursue masters in AI? Awaiting for your response. Anyone else can also give their opinion. Thanks

Hi Rahul - Great that you have a positive attitude about it. The short answer is yes. Here are some things to consider. Within AI, perhaps focus on one area - like machine learning. Some people just use machine learning without understanding how the algorithm works. That's ok, but if you really want to understand how ML works, you need (1) interested in math, especially linear algebra, and, (2) like to play with data. After that, you can step into deep learning, and if you want to understand that, you will have to learn a little bit about differential equations - but that's not too difficult either if you get the basics. Get familiar with a programming language such as Python. (this is among the best languages for ML/AI currently). So the bottom line is -> interest in linear algebra + interest in data + Python + analytical problem-solving skills. If I missed anything out, perhaps others can chime in. Good luck.
