Hi and thank you for your informative video , I am considering buying a starter bundle from you but before I do I noticed on your website that we need to use different ICC profiling for every different materials we sublimate which put me off a bit. Can we not use the standard ICC profile which comes with the bundle for sublimating on wood,steel,aluminium etc,,? Thanks

hello , please i have epson l310 that i use for sublimation but the colors are very pale and dull you can notice that when printed on paper even before doing the heat transfer , is it the ink , the paper that i use or the printer or the icc , thanks

hello. I have epson l382 and Have been using the cityink sublimation for it. its been working great, however i recently realised that the printer started to print darker with the same settings and icc profile. a pastel pink would be of a darker pink colour and lines would be bolder and darker. is there a way to fix it? i have used an older print and a newer print to sublimate on mugs on the same session and the new prints looks a lot darker.

Hi, I bought a Ricoh SG 3110N and it came with cityink paper and inks. I downloaded the ICC profile from you guys, did a head aligment as well and I am printing from photoshop always selecting the CityInk ICC profile. THe images print out with visible lines tho. What can I do to fix, any idea if I need another ICC profile??

try custom settings - 2880 dpi or 5760 dpi; and do a Nozzle Check

Some ink suppliers provide an ICC profile, whereas others don't. If you don't receive an ICC profile for your inks, you can order a custom profile instead. The process for custom profiles involves printing a test chart, and mailing it to the profiling company. They then make your ICC profile, and email it back to you along with instructions for installing and applying the new profile.

HI, I HAVE AN EPSON 2630, IT WAS PRINTING RIGHT, but sometimes have to do the restar again, because dont recognized the cartridges said, then it begins to print a little bit red, and i thought it was the tint that maybe was going off, so i refill the black and blue, and clean the nozzle, and it print a little better just one time, and then do it again, and now doesnt print :( nothing, i dont know what happend, it has a lot on tint in all colors. can you help???

I'd recommend first checking that all colours print properly on a nozzle check. Then, if everything else is working properly, it might be that you need an ICC profile. At the moment, though, the priority is making sure the nozzles aren't blocked or misfiring.

Hi, I have Epson L1300 with sublimation colors and a Heat press for mugs. Where can I find ICC profile for ceramic mug sublimation? Current ICC profile that I use is ok but colors are just little fadeed looking.

Hi there I really enjoy watching your videos I'm learning a lot I just recently purchased and received my espon 7210 with sublimation I just got it last week I'm still trying to understand it I used images that I purchased from vexel I noticed that there images print very well on my sublimation printer but when I use pictures from my photo gallery it doesn't print the colors that's on the image I noticed that it doesn't print black and other things that it does that I'm still trying to understand with this video help me deal with that issue please help from Oregon State

Sublimation doesn't print black

I am wanting to install the ICC profile for my sublimation printing on my Epson 2720, but I also print printed graphics on a cannon printer for a different purpose. Will installing the sublimation ICC profile change the print colors on my other printer also? I print all files from the same graphics program if that matters.

Hello! i’m working on sublimation phone cases and I have those color problems you mention on the video. I have an epson L3110 and I am using sublimation ink. I want to buy an ICC profile for that printer but on your page you have 2 products: ICC color profile for epson L3110 printer ink and ICC color profile for epson L3110 Sublimation ink printer ink.... Which one should I buy? Sublimation ink?

They are custom made so any of the 2800 series is ok

Great video. But is there anyone who can shed light on why, when i press file, print, i do not get the same dialogue box come up with all the options? It simply has a basic printing menu, no expansion or advanced setting. I therefore cannot choose which profile to send to the printer.

Normally this means you do not have the full Printer drivers installed from the manufacturers website

is there a possibility to usethe ICC Profiles in a free software, i dont have Photoshop. I use my plotter software from silhouette or Gimp for example.

Gimp is free but extremely difficult to use and we don't have any instructions for this i'm afraid

Hi there, I purchased an EPSON L120 sublimation printer and I am in desperate need of assistance. I am using a MacBook Air. My black ink is printing brown and I have tried many options: I have done the following: - Uninstalled the driver and re-installed it - I have downloaded ICC profiles and used those and option - I have done the changes as per your video - I have tried MS word, Affinity, Photoshop and the outcome is the same. The black is printing brown and I have tried the following as well: - Printed from another windows PC - same result - Pressed from another press - same result - Asked someone to print for me - same result. How and what do you recommend I do? I am seriously desperate. I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Martine, it sounds like you're getting a little frustrated with this! For the ICC profile you're using, has this been sent to you by your ink supplier? The ink you're using will affect the profile you need, so it's important you either use a custom profile, or one which has been set up specifically for your printer, ink, and paper combination.Blacks turning brown is often due to burning the ink, either by pressing at too high a temperature, or for too long. What settings are you using on your press?If your press settings are definitely correct, I'd recommend a custom profile first. We sell these at www.dyesub.co.uk but there may also be a provider in your own country who can help you out.

I am using the ICC profile from the internet. My supplier tells me it’s not the ink even though I have told them it is possible.

I'd try reducing the mug press time from 220 seconds to about 150-180, to see if it helps. If the profile you're using isn't specific to your ink, then it will produce some incorrect colours unfortunately. I think it's unlikely that there's an issue with the ink, but obviously I can't rule this out completely from here.

If your ink supplier doesn't have any suitable profiles for you, it would need to be a custom profile. These usually involve printing off some colour charts and posting them to a profiling company. They then make the profile for you, and email it to you.

Where do you get the icc profile? Did I miss that step? You installed it, I didn’t see where it came from. Lol.

You can get icc profile from your monitor brand website normally , or monitor calibration tool can create an ICC profile after the adjustments.
