I saw quite a few people asking about the ET-2720. I just printed the same color test sheet as this video on my printer and then with the ICC profile provided by Angie Holden. I have not pressed it onto fabric yet to see finished product; however, I noticed (as far as I can tell on a screen) identical colors and improvement of the printed image using the same paper and ink as this video but with the Epson ET-2720 printer. If they come out with an ICC specific to my printer I'll repeat this test with that, but for now I feel the ICC profile available is a definite improvement!

Yes, I did use photoshop. Colors were way better with the ICC profile when I put them on fabric. Very similar to the results in video

I've downloaded GIMP and added my ICC pofile into this but I am still struggling on how to work this GIMP I've downloaded pic art ie stitch as my grandchildren love this. But I have no idea on how to change colours etc. I have learnt how to make a bg removeer on Google but when I print and cut my image looks great on the circuit before printing etc and when it prints out on my espon it is horrible no colours what so ever it is so dull. Do you have any suggestions at all please. As it would be much appreciated if so TIA x

This is a wonderful video. We just had a project where we were putting sublimation on baby diapers. When I did it, our mauve turned more purple. When I used the exact same sublimation on a regular "test" fabric, it turned out exactly the way it was to turn out to be. This will help me to adjust just a little bit to correct for the diaper fabric.

Searched the comments to see if anyone asked whether the ICC profile was to be in the RGB or CMYK working space for someone on Mac using Photoshop, didn't see an answer but figured it out. Once I download the ICC profile I changed the color setting in Photoshop to load it as the RGB profile. Works great on the blanks I tested on, I also love how a pretty big chunk of these comments have a response from Angie herself!! Thank you for the knowledge Angie!!!

@@ayleenbarbelfattal5308 I had trouble too and just figured out how to install the profile on my Mac- I used this video I found to make sure I was installing the profile correctly. kzread.info/dash/bejne/mqF6o7qppbzLZsaR.html I just skipped to about 2mins in- to the part where it was downloaded and he's showing the folder to add it to. And then I had actually downloaded Silhouette as well so I can see the profile info when I tried to print.

I have the same printer but find that my yellows are printing with a green tint to them. I use Printers Jack sublimation ink and installed the ICC profile from Printers Jack but still not much luck with getting the correct colours. Did you install the profile that is mentioned in this video? Did you change any other settings for the printer?

You need neon sublimation ink to print neon green or bright green. The ICC won't do this.

Look to your ink manufacturer first for a profile. If you can't find one, you can try any ICC profile and see if it fixes your issues.

I would say it matched best.

I use Affinity Photo which is (as far as the general population goes) pretty much the same thing as Photoshop and its a one time payment of $50 and upgrades are free! I love it!

Great video. Our Sawgrass printer handles that for us, but I have (possibly) related question. Could a similar solution be used to correct for colors printed onto non-white substrates? If you know the CMYK value for the substrate, and the value for the color you want to print, it would seem to me that you should be able to adjust the printed color to "offset" or correct for that non-white substrate. Any ideas about that??

I don't think that will work at all, since dye ink work in transparency so to speak (with transparent colors on a solid white base) and if you have a solid base with another color than white you are messing up the color mixing because the base now have a solid color and not a transparent color. You are missing the white base that is needed to get all other colors correct. If you for example have a red t-shirt and you would like a vibrant yellow text........you will need to add the same amount of white that the red color of the shirt is lacking. And we don't have any white ink in sublimation so that's why you can never get vibrant colors on other base colors than pure white.

Hi Angie, I assume you will see this because you responded so quickly to my question this morning. I thought I'd share some information I came across while trying to decide if I wanted to get photo shop so that I could use the ICC profile you provided. I came across a video today that shows how to use the ICC profile you provided in Windows with Silhouette Studio, Cricut Design & more. I'm not sure if I can include the link here so I'll just leave the channel and the Title so that it should be easy to find if you are interested. Channel: DAT INKZ POPPIN Title: How to Use a Color Profile for Sublimation in Windows with Silhouette Studio, Cricut Design & more! He goes step by step on how to do it with the profile they provide for their ink. I followed along up until the point that I had to select the printer because my printer hasn't arrived yet. I was able to locate the ICC profile you provided and would have been able to complete the process if I had the printer installed I can't wait for my printer to arrive next week!

Great video! But question for you. I’m wondering how to get a more muted or vintage effect when sublimating. Think you would be the perfect person to ask! I like the vintage effect when working on cotton however that washes out.

I would do a 50/50 cotton poly blend for a vintage look.

I would say to look on their website for the current profiles they have. You can also try any of those in a pinch to see if they fix the issues you are having. The profile does not necessarily have to match your printer.

I have some success but my black pigment ink is never dark enough. Any suggestions? The same procedure can be used for an Epson Ecotank converted for sublimation. The profile I have is for the ET-4700, however, you can try ANY profile with your printer to see if it fixes your issue.

Love the video. I had no idea where to start with print profiles. I do have a question though. I have pretty much the same set up you have, Epson ET 4700 and I use A-sub paper as well but I have Printers Jack Sublimation ink in it. Will the profile you linked with the Hiipoo ink work with the Printers Jack ink? I can't seem to find the Printers Jack profile to download and I really need something. I did a tumbler that has a aqua glitter background and no matter what I tried it comes out blue and not aqua. Thanks in advance for any info you can give me.

I just purchased an epson et3760 and converted it to sublimation using the hiipoo ink. The black tank is double the size of the others. Do you know if you can buy just black hiipoo ink? I couldn’t find it on Amazon and from what I’ve read mixing different brands is not recommended. Do you have any suggestions without having to buy the complete color set? Thanks. I love your videos.

I love the way you can compare the colours with your printout. How would I be able to do a colour comparison print, like you have shown on your video? This would be really helpful for me, as I have the Epson 2710 but using ink experts and my colours seem to be darker than I expected. I have now managed to put their ICC profile on my printer and I changed a couple of settings that I didn't before, but would love to be able to print off a colour comparison sheet like the one you use. Thank you so much for your help.

Hi Angie, thanks for all the great videos! I am attempting to install the ICC profile for my Epson 3760. I am having troubling opening it up on Photoshop. I cannot figure out how to get it to open it to install the ICC profile.

You only install the ICC profile as I showed in the video. You can't open it.

Same Problem. When I don’t see it When I want to select the profile and it’s already in my computer so I think that it’s not working for 3760.

Hi Angie: I have been watching your videos and was in the Sublimation Camp. I really don't want to start without an ICC profile, But I am having trouble finding one for an ET15000 and Hiippo Ink. Do you have an idea where I can find a profile? Thank you for your help and awesome videos!

You don't have to have a profile to start. In fact, I recommend testing first to see what it is like without one. Then you can try different profiles that are not necessarily for your printer to fix any issues that you are having.

Thanks Angie for your great video. I have an Epson SCF170 and downloaded the utilities & drivers combo. when I printed the colors looked good to me, but when i sublimated onto cotton (I think) tote bag the colors were very dull. I printed with google docs. What do I need to do. I' so confused.

You need to press to 100% polyester to see the true colors. Sublimation does not work on cotton.

Thank you for all the great information that you share. I have an ET-2720 with Hippo sublimation ink. I do not use photoshop or Corel. I use Inkscape. I installed the ICC profile for the 2720 which I got from Hippo. My problem is that although I can select No color adjustment, I do not get the same options as you showed to pick the ICC profile that was installed. Do you have any advise?

Going from Inkscape you probably will not get those options on a PC.

Angie I have the Jack ink but if I wanted to go to the Hippo ink next time is that possible or do I have to stay with the same in I started with

To switch inks, you will want to completely drain and flush the printer.

I have had people use it with other Ecotank printers and say they like it!

Thank you for your video! Your explanation was great! I however have an epson 2760 and am using printers Jack ink with a-sub paper. I have reached out to printers Jack with no reply. (On Amazon where I purchased the ink it said there was a free profile download but I have no idea how to get it.) I’m desperate! Any suggestions?

Hi Angie, thank you so much for your videos, do you know how I can get an ICC Profile for my ET8550 on my Mac? All my colors look faded. I used Ngoozies poly spray on 100% cotton and follows the A-sub time and temp with the dollar test for pressure on my Tusy swing away press with teflon sheets and have ruined a couple of shirts already trying to figure out what corrections I need to make.

I am not familiar with how bright colors will be with the spray. Can you run a test on 100% polyester fabric and make sure that is not the issue first?
