I watched a video yesterday where the speed limit was posted as 35 and Sean "said" he was going the speed limit, but the speedo clearly showed 65mph. Yes, he lied to us all. I've contacted the Pennsylvania authorities to let them know.

Having owned a few of these Bologna Bullets...it's a combo of high compression, extreme bore to stroke ratio, and the fact that it's supplied with a regular wet battery. Changing the battery to a far superior LiFePO4 battery cures the sluggish starting.

I have the 2017 Diavel and I absolutely love it, had my Ducati specialist do some tuning to fix the lean low end and she's an even more ferocious beast now!

Sweet bike. I prefer the looks of the Xdiavel with the forward mounted controls. I 'd love to find a 2016 model. Thanks for the scriptures at the begining of your videos, God bless.

I was two up in the back of my brothers’s Diavel this summer and it was absolutely mental. Even with me on the back it still takes off like a scalded cat! I agree, it is THE BADDEST cruise around!! Great video Sean, lovin the channel and lovin the words of wisdom!! Ride safe dude.

Passing that oversize load while "doing the speed limit" makes me think of Dan Gurney's famous comment about doing the first Cannonball run: "At no time did we exceed 175 miles per hour."

I'm not a fan of Ducati for the reasons you mentioned, but if I ever were to buy one it would be the Diavel. They're a badass bike.

Wow a Ducati! It's great how you decided to keep us in suspense on the 0-60 mph. Bet that will boost the sale of it.

I love that passenger peg design! I've only owned two bikes, a cbr300r and a 2020 street triple r, on both I always left them facing out cause they may stop parts of the back of the bike from hitting the ground if I ever dropped it. If it weren't for that I would get the delete panels for them.

Yamaha vmax 1700 is a badass cruiser.

After thinking about my comment, I don't know if the VMAX is the "better" bike, just quicker. I hope you get to ride one soon, would love to hear your opinion of it!

Of all the bikes including touring, sports, naked, Japanese, German, Italian, Diavel is still my favorite. It is a drag machine which beats any non moded sports bikes up to 80 miles like SRK said. Non only due to the power but also because of the big rear tire gripping the tarmac hard. I had fun with Panigale as well but Panigale is only fun if you go over the certain speed. Diavel is fun from the startline. It is quite comfortable and very stable at high speed. It may not be as nimble as Panigale, but amazingly so considering the large tire and long wheelbase. Not many bikes can be fun and comfortable at the same time. Not many bikes can be big and nimble at the same time. It is only Diavel that does them all. But maintenance wise, believe what everyone else say it will do to your wallet.

I test drove one in 2016 oh my goodness....what an awesome beast!👍

Im upgrading to this. Probably around november. Im in Georgia though, if i was a few hours closer id make the trek.

I’m not really much into the styling of most modern cruisers but I really love the looks of this. It barely even looks like a cruiser at all. It’s like they took a sport bike and changed the rider position around enough to make it more cruiser like and they did it without making it look goofy.

Only Americans think the V-Max and Diavel are cruiser bikes, everyone else sees them as mussel bikes.

the vmax is more piwerful and has mid controls which i love, the ducati is a lil more nimble. but the vmax out muscles it all day

Love those bikes, but can we really call this a cruiser. This needs a classification all it's own. At least with the "S" version, they have forward controls and footboards. That gets it closer to cruiser status in my mind. Great video Sean.

I don't see any diavels with forward controls. All models have and S somewhere in the name. S dark stealth, S dark steel and 1260S All versions have mid controls. Unless forward controls aren't available for the dealers in my country maybe which sucks or older models that have been discontinued had it. Hopefully you can add at least forward rests when not shifting to make up for it.

After I saw the Wolverine movie I went to the dealership to check them out lol

I have the 2011 diavel Carbon , comes in at 201 kg , very nimble and nice two ride though the hills , that low end torque is fantastic, maintenance is high as Sean stated

Did the new fat bob copy cues from this bike or was it the other way around? I mean the exhaust and the seat look a lot alike.

Love the bike, but the passenger pegs look like they could impale you if you happen to slip back and then slide forward onto the seat? Shoulda tucked them under the seat, not outside.

I always liked the jangly-sounding Ducati dry clutches.

CC's was an XDiavel, a slightly different beast.

Thats the closest thing to a cruiser that I would consider owning. Thats a nice one. I like the sound of a dry clutch, too bad about that not having one.

I guess you never heard of the Yamaha Vmax cruiser bike? First gen vmax came out around 1985 and had 150hp way back then.. Then the second gen that has been out since 2009 and it has 189 rear wheel horse power around 200+ hp and 113 ft lbs torque to the wheels 1679 cc V4 ..

that Naked Yamaha xsr900 you had on there yesterday is a fun *light* quick bike too for the price.

I agree - and the yammie sounds way better imo. I wonder how they compare 30-100 mph. These freaking suv cage drivers in texas like to speed up to 90 or more just to mess with you when you're trying to merge onto the highway.

For me right now the number is 5. Anyone with only one 'tool' in their toolbox... needs more.

I wonder what your Rider Scale is based off. It seems to be all over the place. Is it nimbleness? HP? Weight? Wheelbase? Clearance? Responsiveness? A combination of all this?

1198 cubic inches? May feel like it but i don't think so.

I love the Diavel, but I'm not a big fan of the sound with the stock exhaust system, too subdued and high pitched. It needs either a Termignoni or Akrapovic full exhaust system to let out more of the low rumnle of the v-twin.

Sport mode is even more thrilling. You only ran it in touring. Touring mode cuts down the torque and lengthens the control travel.

I believe Ducati use a desmo valve train It doesn’t use valve springs therefore it can’t be floated by over revving

Had my lady on the back always complained her knees were bent to much , the bike rides better without a pillion , Mine came with a pillion seat shell in carbon so no more pillion 😎

You miss the fact that vmax weight 220 pounds more than the diavel. 1/4 mile diavel's the best time stock was 9.9 seconds vmax 1700 the best time stock 9.8 seconds. The bikes are equal in straight line performance the better rider will win no bike is more powerful or auto win but the main difference is in handling, Vmax can't corner it's legit straight line only bike but diavel is pretty nimble and actually can keep up with sport bikes on the track. Hands down diavel is a better bike for everyday use, You can do everything on this bike. Vmax is amazing bike but as far as handling goes it's worse than harley bikes.

I heard services are expensive?

I was torn between this bike and the new Harley Fat Bob 117. I actually ended up going with the fat bob purely for stylistic and character reasons. There's no doubt this bike was mechanically superior and much faster though.

Victor Fesinger xdiavel began in 2016 with the 1260 motor, it is the more stretched out cruiser version of the Diavel with pegs forward and longer wheel base. Normal Diavel also got the 1260 motor later on

The gearing seems kinda short on the bike seems like it would be annoying having to shift so quickly when tryna put the power down

Is Ducati still having problems with Limp Mode and all that shit, where it shuts off randomly, or won't start randomly and you gotta get it towed to the dealer?(and they basically replace the entire ECU, cause they can't figure it out? haha)
