Thanks much for posting. Many are not familiar with Gamma lids.

I have been using these for about 4 years now, they work great for bug proof food storage, glad you did a video on them MD, i`m sure a lot more people will use them now. Good info again MD !!!!

hearl condon Thank you! These lids are definitely worth the extra cost in most cases.

Man, I hope this product is available at WILCON or other building, construction and home centre type stores here in the Philippines. In the states, I used bags inside my recycled buckets. It is almost impossible to scrounge anything here, someone will always grab it before you and that is if it gets thrown away. Back home, if it went in a bucket, it was for the long term. Now, with a family around me again, these lids will be such a blessing to add to our storage. Thank you, MD for highlighting a great product.

I love these lids. About once a quarter, we get then on sale at 45% of regular retail.

I store high gluten bread flour in a five gallon bucket in my pantry. And I did have a gamma lid on it, but simply couldn't figure out how to get the lid seat, I couldn't press it down and "average" hammering didn't do it. I just went out, got the rubber mallet and beat the tar out of it.....it's seated. Finally. Thank you. I think I was afraid to hit it that hard for fear of breaking it. (or that's my story...I probably have trouble swinging a hammer that hard lol)

mdoe37 sometimes you have to give it a good beating to get it to seat properly. I’ve never cracked one... yet lol.

Thank You! I saw the gamma seal lids at Home Depot and didn't know how to use them exactly so I bought the other kind. I'm going to look into getting some now.

Buckets are porous so if your doing good always use Mylar. That will protect from chemicals. The bucket is to keep rodents out, storage ease and transportable containers. It’s not really to seal. Good tutorial on the lids

I am a bee keeper and feed my bees sugar water using the gamma lid-it leaks

I have not been able to get these lids on my buckets so they're just sitting in the corner. I stood on it and jumped on it rhe lid never completely snaps on. 😔

take the ring and all that apart the ring on.warm some buckets very use hammer

Buckets with Gamma Lids leak none AIR TIGHT. High Dollar and bucket if put water in bucket seal side seal and top lid seal then tilt bucket water pours out = NOT AIR TIGHT
