Everyone's like, "I get my bucket for a dollar and lids for $3!". Then there's me searching for hours for anything less than $10 in either category :(

I bought a Gamma 2. Well made product. I cut out the center of the lid and screwed it to a plywood bottom that I made for my Bosch portable table saw. Of course I cut a matching hole in the plywood! Then I attached the adaptor ring to a 3 gallon pail. Now I have a really excellent sawdust collector. I'd like to find another adaptor ring so I can put it on a 5-gallon pail if the need arises. Any ideas where I can purchase the adaptor as.a replacement part?

The gamma lids are stronger for stacking buckets. The cheap, light seal ones will break down eventually, especially if stacked under weight of other buckets.

Did you find any of them to be leak prof ? I bet you know now there is a bucket wrench for the one that have the tear tabs. Does the wrench bypass tearing the tab and allowing it to continue having the best seal ? Ty for shearing.

How do I install the collar? I have the leaktite bucket with the lid, but once I start installing the collar I can get 1/2 or 3/4 of the collar down and the other part stays up. I've been using a plastic mallet and haven't been able to install it completely.

Great Review on the Gamma Seal Lid, like to see a more eco-friendly solution, like 40% recycled materials or even hemp alternatives.

Amazon sells gamma lids by the 78 hour survival and they are not a good quality. The lids are hard to screw into the bands. Lee Valley sells true Gamma lids and they are a delight to use. They easily screw on and off. You can remove the gamma seal band using a tablespoon so if the bottom of your bucket cracks save your expensive gamma unit.

Any of these lids seal air? Lets say for fermenting mead? I'm looking for a lid that will seal air and I could drill in to it install an airlock.

I think a properly installed and sealed Gamma lid is airtight but not under much pressure. These are all fairly inexpensive so there might be a more elaborate and airtight option out there.

@@lastbesttool All my Gamma lids leak water really bad. If water can get out air can get in. I called the company and they didn't want to even talk about it. The customer service was awful. And they're put on correctly but they all have a lot of flashing in the injection sites. That is where they leak when turned upside down.
