Masoud Pezeshkian, a 69-year-old heart surgeon who wants to restart talks with the US over the landmark nuclear deal, was voted president of Iran after an election that underscored major challenges facing the country at home and abroad.     As an American who would love to see the Iranian People free, out from under the Ayatollah’s boot, I believe sadly it’s gonna take another revolution just the one that that him in power, to get him out of it, NOT an election. The closest chance the Iranian People had since the 70’s was the Masha Amini protests. That needed to turn into a revolution, but it didn’t.

    How could you call Pezeshkian a reformist? He said that he made hijab mandatory even before the Islamic regime enforced the law of hijab. He was the medical advisor who confirmed that it was okay to cut off the thieves hands according to the Islamic law.
