Hello Nico I'm from Argentina and I pick up my guitar well... because i just love Rock And Roll! It is a passion to me and when i see my Idols like Dave Mustaine i just dream to play some songs like him. Sorry if my english isn't that good. Anyway, I travel to other worlds, get so relaxed and happy when I play that i would love to have much more time for me to could play it for hours everyday. I admire your work in the videos of naruto and guitar. I'm excited to see i new one. I wish you the best and keep up the good work. See ya :)

It was Jimmy Page for me. My school friends were arguing whether Jimi Hendrix or Jimmy Page was a better guitar player. My pro-Hendrix friend lent me Are you Experienced, which as a 13 year old whose musical diet had consisted mostly of Busted and Eminem was a little hard to swallow at the time. But when my other friend lent me Led Zeppelin 4, and the opening verse and riff of Black Dog entered my ears, my life was changed forever...

Beginning in the 5th grade I took to music with the Trumpet and later the french horn. Concert band, marching band and symphonic band music was my passion and those that i shared my time with felt the same. We naturally wanted to play the rock and roll music that would get us the girls and the popularity of our peers. The riff intro from the Rolling Stones "Start Me Up" was pure power in my mind and i rented my first guitar and started lessons. It was a black Les Paul copy that nearly broke my back from its weight. Keith Richards, Jimi Hendrix, Brian May, and Tom Scholz were the sounds i loved the most and later Steve Stevens got my ear as well as Mark Knopfler. Got my Strat, got my Les Paul, got my Tele and at times can be each of these legends. Very few things fill the soul as a power chord resonating throughout the body, of your own making.

I had an epiphany when listening to Eric Clapton unplugged while living in Tokyo. It was so strong that I scoured the classifieds in the Japan Times and found a Fender acoustic. Picked it up the following morning to play a chord progression from the 50s (taught by the seller) and suddenly realised 4 hours had slipped by! Amazing! Been hooked ever since

I guess it was my Mum, she always played a bit (like Jimi - upside down left handed) - I just knew I was going to play guitar and when it finally became an option with lessons at highschool I jumped into it - I have to say the main influence in my playing was always Steve Vai but the initial impetus to sit in my room for years came from Frank Gambale and his instructional video about economy picking. These days Gary Moore, Marty Friedman, Jeff Beck all inspire me (and Steve, of course).

Quite honestly, I was gifted this beautiful pitch black guitar because I'm fascinated with them. However I don't know how to play, and there is no one who can teach me. So are there any tips as to how I could start learning?

It's sad that instruments like the accordion, which are an old part of so many western cultures are declining.
