This is top three favorite Brad and Lex videos for me!

It was because of the rules that this song turned out like it did. The network folks told the band they only had four minutes to do their six and a half minute song. So instead of editing it, they just played it at a MUCH faster tempo, and out came this masterpiece. Probably one of the MOST reviewed and reacted to song performances ever. I remember watching this on The Midnight Special, and then EVERYONE talking about it the next Monday at school. Crazy. The band Focus is from Holland, and is still active in 2023.

I first saw their Rock Lobster reaction and I find it similar to this song where it sounds fun and corny and Lex loved Rock lobster and Brad had no reaction at all and then this song the reactions are switched :)

Been waiting for this reaction for a long time. I'm not disappointed. For a reactor, Brad is one hell of a dancer.

I've seen this performance many times and it never disappoints. However, it's the first time I've seen anyone dance to it and that didn't disappoint, either.

Wow! This is the first time I was entertained by Brad's reaction more so than Lex's. 😂😂😂 I have never seen Brad more animated.

Crazy talented group. They played this at double speed due to time limitation. The guitarist, Jan Ackerman, was voted the best guitarist in the world at the time. I think this was also one of the very few times the crowd gave anyone a standing ovation

It was played waay faster than normal because the show cut their time and asked them to cut it down - instead of deleting parts, they crammed it into the time given.

- BEST REACTION EVA!!! :D - Unexpected interpretive dance by Brad!

I think having to perform the song in close to double time gave the lead singer a temporary case of Tourette's syndrome. I remember when this song was being played on 'top 40' radio. This performance, of course is much sped up. And, you two, I think this may be the very best reaction you've ever done! LOVED it!

This is what your whole show should always have been. You reacting and him dance-reacting. Love that song love your show.

The album version also has an accordion solo in it too and it's an even better version.

Focus is NOT a one-hit wonder! Their albums are magnificent and some of the most crafted beautifully done masterpieces in music. The singer and flutist is a Vienna Symphony Orchestra Flute player. He is a genius. The guitarist is considered one of the best guitarist of his time. He is comparable to Eric Clapton in the surveys of that time. The musicianship is exquisite. ALL their albums are so great and have a CLASICAL music background to most of them. CHECK THEM OUT!!!

I'm just repeating what others have already said, but Lex's reaction to this song was SO unique for her. She usually smiles at just about everything, even if she's not understanding it. This is priceless!

Best Brad reaction ever - by miles!!

The first time I have seen Brad lose it so completely. That alone was worth the view..... what a reaction, but probably EXACTLY the right one.

Together had a meaning at the time this was made. Being "together" meant you were sure of yourself, organized. So when she said they were together it was a compliment.

I hope Brad’s ok. I’ve never seen him like that. A joy to see!

This song is actually 6:41 minutes long but *Midnight Special* only allowed half that time to perform it. So they played it at approx. double speed. Definitely helped launch this Dutch band's persona in North American, even 50 years later.

This song is heart healthy .

And Brad’s moves are stellar!!!😅

Might not seem like it now but this was an absolute game changer in musical history. They were not afraid to experiment and rock evolved as a result.

My friend at Uni was a real crazy Focus fan and I promised to get him an autograph when I went to their concert. I got really dead drunk and at the end of the gig they asked for people from the audience to come up on stage and sing. So I jumped up on the stage and gave some sort of performance. I went backstage with the group and got a really good autograph of all the band on my ticket. For the next three weeks I got stopped in the street everyday and people told me that my singing was awful and I should never get on stage again.

"Forget all the rules and go crazy" I'm in.

This was, hands down, your funnest reaction video. Brad gettin' his freak on and Lex absolutely stunned. Totally amusing.

‘Together’ was a hip term in the 70’s, she wasn’t being demeaning to them. It meant having your shit together and in charge of your actions. I really like Brad’s shirt and I have to find it for sale.

I'm in complete shock! I swear my soul left my body when Brad got out of his chair and started dancing/flailing around. I will remember this date forever. Feb. 11, 2023, the day Brad LOST HIS DAMN MIND!

Imagine everyone at the party moving like Brad and chirping like crickets. This piece (I won't call it a song) was a party hit usually played towards the end when most everybody was juiced up.

Sylvia was a massive European hit and they were an Album Band. " Love Remembered" takes you into the heart of the desert if you close your eyes in a silent, darkened room and is in my Top 10 Songs of all time and I bought my first record in London in 1960 so 63 years ago..

The original full recording of this is a masterpiece, and unless you listen to that you’re really not getting the full breadth of what this guy’s talents are but I’m glad you finally did it. I’ve been begging on other songs for you guys to do this one for a long time

This guitarist was ahead of his time, very underrated.

Their track "Sylvia" is well worth a listen 🙂

Crazy fun song Was a pretty big hit when I was a teen. Got a lot of airplay and a great party song at this tempo. That was Glady's Knight introducing them. The band was jamming and then the singer started yodeling and they loved it . Organized chaos.

Lex was tired and feeling very pregnant for this one. A year ago I am thinking her reaction would have been different. Not complaining, she is a trooper. It must be very clear now to Brad why everyone wanted the reaction for so long. This video certainly gets a reaction. Guitarist Jan Akkerman was ranked ahead of Eric Clapton, Carlos Santana and Jimmy Page in British music paper Melody Maker's 1973 Best International Guitarist poll and a lot of guitarist list him as a major influence.
