If this were to ever happen. It would be a disaster for the region since the drained area would not have the moisture to have it be wet enough for the sands to stop. It would be a dry desert and whole of europe will be victims. Additionally, without that area, Ocean levels will flood areas instead such as islands sinking and east coast america under water.

If the sea has been drowned, we can drive across a vast dry land to get to Asia and Africa. And a lot of people would get to the closest part to their main land for to live, but I think the rest would be waste land (unless they want to dig a hole to have a little body of water like lakes and/or rivers,(you know their trade)).

Geopolitically, France (Or atleast the French in general) would be either strongly against and/or be absolutely furious over the loss of Corsica. Birthplace of Napoleon, the history with Genoa, and so on. France would be absolutely RUTHLESS at the treaties either way. And because treaties are forced to be public treaties the French would probably be hated by major powers in Europe. (Also, France could definitely hold off the Italians and Spanish in certain regions, like at the coasts of Corsica. Considering the landscape of the drained Mediterranean would be a majority flat desert, the stronger and more able French armies would seize those positions and leave the powers (Ignoring Algeria anyway..) in a gridlock.)

I think that from this point, you should convert the Microstates to become Special Administration Regions aka something like Hong Kong. So France annexs Monaco and Andorra is split between France and Spain, San Marino and Vatican City is annexed into Italy and Liechstein stays because it is slightly relavant in history.

Black Sea was considered a sea bc it was connected to Mediterranean Sea which was connected to ocean, but since the Mediterranean Sea is no more, Black Sea will be considered as a lake just like the Caspian Sea
