What If Runescape Was a Linear Game? | Story Mode #1

After a car dragged me 34m (111 feet) and mangled my right shoulder, right elbow and left and right clavicles I needed to find a new way to play Runescape. But I don't know if this is against the game rules, because its sketchy across a couple.
So here's a series, inspired by J1mmy's By Release. Where I learn to play the game on controller whilst working towards a Master Quest Cape.
In this episode we complete: Cook's Assistant, The Blood Pact, The restless ghost and Sheep Shearer!
Rules:
1. I have to do everything on controller. I’ve always struggled to play on mobile anyway, but I figured it’d be more appropriate for the rule to keep to the challenge.
2. I have to complete every quest and mini quest in the timeline order as given by the game. With a couple exceptions.
3. I will only have access to content that I’ve found organically through questing. I’ve wrestled with how to word this one for way too long. When I get too a new area I will have access to everything within that area unless it has a reasonable point in the timeline. So no barrows until temple at senntisten, no 6th age until world wakes things like that.
4. Seasonal quests have to be completed during the season.
5. Combat can only be trained when I need to get stronger or need better gear for a quest. And only through slayer or bossing for said gear.
6. The remaining 19 skills can only be trained when I need supplies or for requirements.
7. I can’t do Jack of trades. Any other dailies, weeklies or monthlies can only be done once.
8. I can’t take part in any multiplayer activities, no help with bosses, iron man and no minigames

I Know this one's on the shorter side but I didn't want to unnecessarily bloat the length. Doing the first few in Lumbridge then moving onto Varrock just felt like a natural stopping point, Shorter quests don't exactly help but this is all a learning experience

Thankyou, it’s nice to see another positive comment other than one complaining about rs3

It’s end game bossing would be on par with Elden ring difficulty… unless you’re talking osrs, they just click the npc and watch hit splats

Yup 😁 that’s the hope anyway. Recently put about 360 hours into Elden ring basically just cause I couldn’t play RS and it reminded me of it. And compared to RS bosses it just felt…too…easy. Like no rotations to remember, just a couple deaths and learn to dodge. I’ve been missing the complexity of the end game RS3 bosses, it part of the reason I started this series. Although it may be a while till I get there 🙃 That being said raids would be insanely hard on OSRS, the click accuracy needed is pretty insane for the high level content

The answer might be obvious and I might be silly for asking, but when you do cutaways to your character sitting at May's do you actually type the overhead text out in-game or is it edited in?

It’s edited in, so I don’t have to recapture the footage for each new video.
