Better ending: What if Jonathan beat Dio hard enough that he ran away from the mansion?

What if right, PB ends with Dio’s “death” and instead of coming back later in the story, he hides away with his last servant. Jonathan survives and raises George with Erina, then years later Joseph is born. George could die while Joseph is still young for plot reasons and Lisa Lisa leaves as well, leaving young Joseph under the care of Old Jonathan and Erina. The majority of BT goes the same but is way easier for the Hamon users since both Joseph and Caesar are not only trained by Lisa Lisa but also by a veteran JoJo. Of course Jonathan has to die in the end, Joseph does his trick and kills Kars and appears to die. There’s a funeral scene for the both of them, Joseph comes back but is way more somber this time around since he has just lost his grandfather. Joseph, Smokey, Speedwagon, Erina, and Lisa Lisa all mourn and then it fades to night once they all finally leave. Roundabout starts to play and we see a figure walking over to the grave. As the beginning part of Roundabout comes to an end, it pans to who the figure is and it’s the zombie from the beginning holding Dio’s head in a jar.

so then they can gain stands in part 3, so jotaro would still have a stand, BUT, the stands are different for dio and jotaro, or maybe instead of jonathan dying, joseph dies in part 2 and jonathan continues hamon training, which allows him to stick around for stardust crusaders and replace joseph, with his stand, but he figures out that he doesn't need to smash a camera to use spirit photography, he can also guide jotaro's personality, if suzi q got pregnant before joseph died, probably dying in a car accident. so holly can be born, then jotaro, which is change to be a lot more nicer, and also not as grumpy as he is and respects his mother, maybe even his hair having a tint of blue, the stands, dio would simply take josephs body instead, he don't give a damn, and jonathan at this time, probably looking either with a beard, or he looks like old joseph in the normal timeline

Jojo's Slightly Abnormal Adventure

There is a thought that crosses my mind: Dio got his stand because he spent a few decades searching the hidden world for knowledge. However, back in Phantom Blood the one spending most of his time studying the stone mask wasn't Dio, but Johnathan. Considering the new connections he has and his curiosity about the occult, it would not surprise me if Johnathan ended up doing an expanded search beyond just the Stone Masks. While Johnathan would not have gone down the same roads Dio did, it's still possible he may have come to the same information that led Dio to Stands and other mysteries. Part 3 could have happened of a sort, Dio would not be the main villain, but perhaps a renegade Joestar takes a Stand Arrow and tries to conquer the world. The equivalent of Holly (an extra gentle Joestar with no interest in fighting, that left for Japan to be with alt!Holly's love), who gets mixed up in this somehow and alt!Jotaro signs on with alt! Joeseph to hunt down the renegade Joestar. A larger Joestar family could also explain an alt!Jousuke and alt!Giorno. Naturally, these alternates would not be exactly as they are, and I honestly don't buy the idea that every Joestar would get Hermit Purple. We would almost certainly get different stands than we did, but given stands are reflections of their users to an extent, I can still see the powerhouse stands arising from the Joestar line, but with channeling Hamoan as a key component of those stands alowing for some rather esoteric effects beyond punching vampires with the power of the sun. Like the ability to mind control, read a person's fate, being key factors to extremely flexible Stand-use.

Finally!! Someone said it! I honestly feel like Jonathan is the most misunderstood Jojo. They see him as this soft, uwu boi without ambition or dreams. I mean, he is soft. But he's also the only Jojo to have a fascination for the occult! It's like they forgot he was an archeologist, and was fixated on the Stone Mask for the longest time. I can absolutely see him finding the stand arrows in place of Diavolo, or even discovering the pillar men before the German army does! I wonder if he would have tried to befriend them to learn about their culture, and negotiated a deal with them, rather than contain them and try to destroy them. Could you imagine the pillar men as Joestar allies??

@@freddmannco I'd totally believe him listening to them, and asking about if they could be helped. Heck, he'd probably even have a scene or two in that situation where he'd be sitting there, regretting killing Dio as he wondered if his adopted brother could have been saved. Another detail is that, considering how Jonathan acts in all situations, I suspect Wamuu would grow to respect him quickly if he ended up seeing Jonathan in a fight. And beyond all that... Kars in Ultimate form didn't really have any reason to kill anything for sustenance, which would probably be the same for Ultimate Wamuu and Esidisi, which would mean the only risk to dealing with them is the fact those three would probably be the most dangerous environmentalists in any universe ever.

@@zettovii1367 that's why the odds are against them tho...the pillar men aren't known for their polite way of fighting so if Joseph lives with his grandfather there's a chance that he would've never been as clever as he is during Battle Tendencies meaning there'll be a higher chance of him dying from either acdc or kars. wammu is out of the equation cause he would definitely fight jonathan for both of them are honourable man and even if joseph did fight wammu and he now has the attitude of Jonathan then he might die since the only way he survived the pillar men is by running away and we all know Jonathan would teach him not to run away from a fight

@@sethyesseth55 Yeah, but just because he'd be more polite, it doesn't mean that Joseph will be any less of a cheater. Joseph may have been practicallyan orphan, but he still had Erina as his Grandma, and she is an exemplary lady whom IIRC was pretty strict about manners... Yet Joseph never stopped being a tricky wild boy, who gravitated towards the streets. Johnathan might have been able to have some influence over Joseph, along the lines of potentially making more of a family man and maybe gentleman *compared to the canon,* at least. But that dude is rowdy by nature, and Johnathan kinda seems pretty soft spoken when not dealing with people that are trying to ruin his life. I doubt Johnathan would change Joseph by much.

(ps I forgot why Lisa Lisa has the red stone of aja but it'll definitely come into play into this parallel universe)

DIO would probably fucking HATE Giorno. Not just cause "muh dog kicking evil" but because Giorno embodies DIO's philosophy of a "Giver". Giorno is such a giver and DIO would resent or hate him for it. I just noticed this but I already had done a video on Star Platinum Requiem & Hayato's Stand. But the last question is a really good puzzle.

So basically what this video tells me is Jonathan best Joestar because he was willing to give his life for his wife, his unborn child, the child of a random stranger... and THE PLOT. Truly the greatest gentleman to ever live.

He would find Kira, the stupid explanation of their needing to be a strong family level connection or that more stand users in an area hindering those visions is just fanon excuses for plot holes. He could detect DIO fine from countries away while being surrounded by powerful enemy stand users and even if he didn’t get a clear answer at first he’d play the Gacha game and keep quizzing hermit purple to get a clearer and clearer lead on his location. if Angelo was a threat to Josuke why wouldn’t he find Kira since he was a threat to Josuke and Jotaro as well.

What if Pucci never met Dio? Well, basically *everything after Part 6 would have never happened*

What I think would happen: - all joestars will use hamon and fight vampires castlevania style - events of battle tendency still happen, but joseph is a wise hamon user, lisa lisa teaches joseph at a young age, caesar is saved and wamuu is killed early, kars still ends up as a space rock - jotaro becomes the strongest hamon user in the family - events of stardust crusaders still happen, but dio is a disembodied head and has vampire henchmen all over egypt - pucci encounters dio but runs because dio is literally a talking head - since joseph is wise in this universe, Josuke doesn't exist - part 4 happens, but its jotaro and rohan who investigate Kira's identity (and also come across okuyasu and the others) - part 5 is altered, becomes a spinoff where jotaro investigates who diavolo is, bruno and the gang helps him, bruno becomes the boss, jotaro gains requiem, narancia and polnareff live (abbachio doesn't because jotaro and bruno splits up during a mission) - part 6 would never happen, pucci had never met dio and would die at the hands of stone free

The idea of George killing that undercover vampire with hamon instead of dying is kinda cool ngl.

Here’s What If Jonathan killed Dio at the castle: Jonathan successfully kills Dio -> Jonathan and Erina marry, go on honeymoon, and return -> George Jr is born -> George Jr is trained in Hamon -> George kills the zombie that killed him in the prime timeline -> George Jr, having married, becomes father of Joseph, but Lisa Lisa isn’t his mother -> The Pillar Men return -> Joseph kills the Pillar Men, and Kars is unable to get to Red Stone of Aja, but is able to kill Jonathan -> Part 3, but the villain is a Enya/Diavolo teamup with Hamon vs Stand users -> Kira and Keicho get the arrows -> Part 4 If Dio died at the boat, and Jonathan survived: Joseph is trained by Jonathan -> Joseph becomes more powerful, but Jonathan’s chivalry is not completely able to stamp out Joseph’s trickster nature -> Joseph, Caesar, Lisa Lisa and Jonathan defeat the Pillar Men, even able to prevent Ultimate Kars’ advent, but Caesar and Jonathan die -> The Joestars don’t unlock their Stands -> Hamon vs Stands Yep, Jonathan needed to die, for us to have Ultimate Kars, Joestar Stands, Giorno, etc.

And if they fight Diavolo and it's Hamon v. Stands, then stands win. Not even considering Bruno's boys, La Squadra, and Unita Speciale-all of which would probably beat any Hamon-user-King Crimson is just far, far too powerful to beat with Hamon. You need something extra in order to beat Diavolo.

Here is how would I see it. When Erina was set adrift in the ocean Jonathan charged his hamon power to give some to Erina, then Jonathan would use his remaining power to cover his body so when DIO stole his body he it would have been weakened. When Erina learns she has Hamon she starts to train and eventually finds Jonathan's luck pluck sword. When DIO confronts Erina she charged at him splitting his head open. After that she would go to Jonathan's grave (if he has one) and gives the luck pluck to the grave.

Kakkete Kek He would have still met Erina and gotten married. I'm certain he would meet Zeppeli, so that they could destroy the Stone Mask. Straizo never meeting Dio would probably cause him to stay good, Dire would have never died. If Jonathan and Erina still go on the boat to reach America, they might have befriended Lisa Lisa's parents, allowing George and Lisa Lisa grow up together and marry, Joseph is born. Speedwagon still becomes loaded. With no zombies, George lives a happy life with his wife and Joseph. Joseph might have still met Smokey because Speedwagon would still be working in the US. The hamon users would eventually beat Santana, some may be killed by the main three. Jonathan and Zeppeli teach Ceasar and Joseph because they are old. With more capable Hamon, Ceaser doesn't die. They are able to beat Kars without him becoming ultimate. Joseph might still meet Suzi Q, so Holly is born and so is Jotaro. Jotaro lives a happy life with his beloved Kakyoin. They break up Jotaro goes to America and has Jolyne. Kira might still get caught because he would leave evidence behind. No Arrow = No Killer Queen. Police find him with Forensic scans. Diavolo is still a cunt and rules the world.

If none of the characters in this alternate part 4 have more complicated stands, then we get the story of some clairvoyant vampire hunters hunting a serial killer who can somehow out-predict them. And that sounds pretty freaking cool.

So it's: a Hard sacrifice yet a crucial one

If Jonathan had won, the Jojos would never get stands because Dio wouldn't be there to pass them down to them. Which means Joseph wouldn't even get Hermit Purple. There would be no Jojo's Bizarre Adventure after part 2. Stardust Crusaders would never happen because Jotaro was never born and Dio is dead, DiU would never happen because the arrow would never reach Kira since Dio's henchmen would never get hold of it. None of the DiU characters would have their stands and Stone Ocean would never happen because no Jolyne.
