Cool to see Whitney as a rival. That’s actually really clever. Shame that didn’t happen in Hoenn. A character established as one of the most infamous battles in the games turned into a rival in the following generation is quite clever. Also Cassey……Cassidy you’re going to need a more clever alias than that.

excellent job although Flannery's Grandfather's ace is Typhlosion granted he would probably save it for challengers going for their 8th badge

Dude I loved this already, but as soon as you brought Ralts into this I was all in, they're my absolute favorite pokemon. This series is great!

I love this timeline. It’s basically like the anime but with the heroes suffering actual consequences for their mistakes and receiving and retaining meaningful character development. Jessie and James are working hard to save their Pokémon and growing into impressive trainers. The characters you chose for Gym Leaders and rivals are excellent; that this is five years prior to Ash’s journey means you have plenty of creative freedom. And I love it! Plus, some of the battles (excluding Wattson’s) had me on edge; Tucker’s battle especially. I also love all the depth you give to the heroes. Not to mention how you give them different hurdles to overcome, random and expected. And subverting the trend of ‘evolution equals victory’ was excellent (even if James wouldn’t agree). I hope to see the TRio come out on top and get Bluk and Cassidy sent to prison. It might just be me but I’ve been taking umbrage with how Team Rocket members almost always escape arrest. I wouldn’t be surprised if Growlie and Chansey evolve next episode. Considering the stakes, they have every reason to go the distance for their friends. I can’t wait to see how the next episode turns out! Especially an all-out battle between James and Moore; I think I remember Moore had a Typhlosion in his team roster. THIS SERIES IS SO FRIGGIN GOOD!! I can't believe but am also kinda glad that I forgot about it until now. I subscribed to keep up with the uploads, but I'm thinking a lot of stuff buried the uploads and life got kinda busy. Still, being able to come back and catch up all at once is always amazing. This series is right up there with a fanfic called "Giving-In" by Artificial Starlight where I'd re-read the whole thing from the beginning when a new chapter came out. It seems like I'll end up doing the same with this one. Thank you so much for your hard work and wonderful storytelling skills! I love, love, LOVE it!!!!

Kinda think it doesn't make much sense for James to join the gym challenge and Jesse to join the contests. Jesse had interest in contests in the anime, but with how they're characterized in this series, I think it would have made more sense for Jesse to join the gyms and James to join the contests. Actually, it would make sense for Jesse to join the gym challenge and both of them to join the contest circuit, but sadly there was only one contest pass.

I hope you continue this series at some point.

Man I love this series, I always thought James had it bad in the anime and making him a proper trainer is such a good idea

Oh man you know how to get a story going not to mention some of the Pokemon they would actually have this has been really good

This series is just an absolute treat to watch! I'm always excited when you upload a new episode.

This series has been making my college year interesting! such an intriguing series!

Really good stuff, I've binged this series and I can tell you put a lot of thought into these episodes. My only complaint is Jessie caught Wobbufet yet didn't even try to use him in a contest. There's not even a line about "Jessie considers Wobbufet but considering Wobbufet can't attack on his own, Jessie decides against it". Also the excuse for them not using their old pokemon feels a bit flimsy since the stakes seem too high for them to go out and try new pokemon. Aside from that though I love everything else from how the gym battles work to how you presented their losses. Unlike what the anime does with Ash, you allow their experience to shine through and they lose due to personal mistakes beyond not being strong enough

I’d personally like Wobbuffet to learn a couple more moves. I know his move pool is extremely limited Hy things like Safeguard and Encore (if possible) would be invaluable.

Problem with the ending I don’t think Steven would be on a Pokémon journey at this point probably a trainer but Steven shouldn’t be challenging the gyms until like after ash traveled through hoenn(don’t really know how to spell it.🤷🏼‍♂️) I have a feeling Johanna could be a contest rival if they travel through sinnoh but we don’t know how old she was when she became top coordinator or if she was doing contests after dawn was born. Just an idea for future stuff later on.

i feel like the only reason growly never evolved into arcanine is dude to its name and due to it never recieving a fire stone I feel like Arcanine....y would love for James to ride on its back into battle
