Im not a fan of Xross Wars but I appreciate what it tried to do. The ending was sick though seeing everyone come back. I personally love that you went with Lilith Mutant. Imagine the implications of a main cast member having to deal with their partner digivolving into a version of one of their enemies. It's genius

For AlturBallistamon I think Justimon could work since it has the red and blue carried over, Justimon's arm carries over machine aspects, and since bugs are associated with Kamen Rider it can work for the Kamen Rider inspired Digimon.

It does strike as a bit odd that Justimon isn't bug-themed like the also Kamen Rider inspired Stingmon, Shadramon, Jewlbeemon, Hudiemon and TigerVespamon (and possibly Banchou Stingmon but that one's a bit looser and only even is considered because of base Singmon's design being part of its design). I mean Riderman was one of the several grashopper kamen riders from the Showa era. There's also other digimon that look like generic toku heroes like five of the human spirit digimon, Sakuyamon, Kuzuhamon, Gankoomon and Beelzemon (who even has both a mask and a motorcycle in spite of looking more like a biker gang type than a kamen rider lol) but Justimon was clearly based on Riderman, there's definitely no doubt about it.

A fun future Xros Wars custom art video could be what if Shoutmon's army pals and Greymon's army pals were swapped. So Greymon gets Ballistamon and Dorulumon, while shoutmon gets Mailbirdamon and Deckerdramon.

It's amazing how so many Xros Wars Digimon got stuck with super weird levels. It seems like there's at least one anytime any of them are mentioned in a video.

It still bugs me how Dark Knightmon isn't a mega despite how powerful he was in Xros Wars. ITs like they didn't want to make up an ultimate form for him so went the lazy route.

I always though SlashAngemon would've been the PERFECT Mega for Spadamon. Both blue with blades.

It's awesome to give Xros Wars some love! The season was great, I enjoyed it. Good picks for full evos lines. I also see VictoryGreymon as a solid Mega for Shoutmon. Omega Shoutmon gets its power from Omnimon, so a Greymon variant seems appropriate and VictoryGreymon is visually a good fusion of both Shoutmon and OmegaShoutmond visually. And the V imagery on Shoutmon's design nicely translates into the V for VictoryGreymon.

I never get tired of these videos. Growing up Digimon felt so all over the place, but channels like this help me relive my childhood obsession and learn more about it in a more creative way!! Keep it up Karn!! 💚

I think it’s cool you went down the plant route for Ren’s Dracmon. I always saw the focus being more based on the mask. While they are newer releases, maybe Xingtianmon and Dijiangmon could work as evolutions?

Sparrowmon to me looks and feels like a rookie Digimon especially with how goofy and kind of childish it was in the anime, it felt like a rookie partner for Nene specifically but then again Gatomon is a champion but looks like it could be a rookie. Ballistamon I could see either way as rookie or champion too.

I get that it's a wierd pick but I've always somewhat liked the idea that sparrowmons mega should be Aegisdramon. They look similar with their golden colours as well as the engine/wings they both have

I like the Digimon crossover stuff. Something I think could be fun to see would be two different approaches to the Zoids franchise. First off, deciding Digimon partners for Zoid pilots/warriors; secondly, Digimon based on Zoids, and fits great with the fact that Zoids are operated by a number of advanced computer system, and quite a few even have artificial intelligence units to operate them and give them a bit of their own personality.

I think Raisenmon would also be a really good fit on that dorulumon line

Love Xros Wars and these lines are great, I think you have a very good sense for putting Digimon lines together. Excited to see more XW content :D

An alternate Megas for Shoutmon are Examon (good evoluton) and Dorbickmon (Dark evolution) since they're both kings in a way with Examon being king of the dramons and Dorbickmon being the dramon army commander and Shoutmon wants to be a king. Examon is when Shoutmon is a good and just king and Dorbickmon is when he is a Tyrant. For Cutemon his alternate Mega could be either Lunamon or Cherubimon since they both look like rabbits.

How Xross Wars handled evolutions and levels is my main gripe with the series. The manga was a major improvement over the anime though and having full evolutions for Ballistamon and Sparrowmon would rule.

wow, so good to see these possible digivolutions from xros wars, mainly because it's the season I'm thinking about the most these days, and it's so cool to see even the secondary characters too, especially those from digimon hunters which is my favorite🤩

13:30 I was tossing around some hypothetical Digidestined and their partners all month and one of the picks I settled on was a Cutemon that eventually evolved into a LordKnightmon! Great minds!

For Spadamon, I think I like: Spadamon > Leomon > Lamortmon > Armamon While Leomon and Lamortmon aren't Legend Arms Digimon, they are lion/beast like Digimon that have swords, and there's a lot of visual cohesion there imo. The wings of Lamortmon can also transition nicely to Armamon.

Seeing more Xros Wars content is quite nice. For evolutions, another two candidates for Dorulumon in regards to preevolution that could work are Herissmon and Gatchmon, the former with its standard evos having drills, namely in Stiffilmon and the latter with the ambiguous cat/dog appearance in the media , despite Dorulumon being a wolf.

This was the first Digimon Series I watched, so I’m glad this video was made

As a person who doesn't love Xros Wars this was a fun video.I will always give this season credit that it's regular formed Digimon partners I.E Shoutmon, Cutemon, Dorulamon, Ballistamon, Spademon, Sparrowmon and so on are great looking Digimon. Like some of my favorites so I would love to see a custom art video for them! Also glad someone else did the idea of Cutemon maybe one day becoming Lordknightmon. I know when I do a lot of my Pink Pretty Cure Ideas for partners Cutemon is my favorite pic for a rookie. Unless the character is Plant Based then Lalamon is perfect.

Once again this is surely an interesting explanation of what would have been if we had actually seen more actual Digievolutions in Digimon Fusion.

Awesome video Karn!!! Agree, in my opinion Kodokuwamon fits perfectly as a Rookie level for Balistamon. And for mega level i think GrandisKuwagamon would be epic, like a BugTerminator Digimon or something like that jajaja

Before Shoutmon (King ver.) was confirmed as an Adult, I always liked Red V-dramon for the slot of Shoutmon's Adult. They're very visually cohesive, red humanoid dragons with V-shaped horns, and games have used that line. I didn't think of Durandamon as the Ultimate but honestly I'm shocked at how well it follows OmegaShoutmon, both being golden edgy Digimon with sword legs. For Cho-Hakkaimon, I like LovelyAngemon as the Ultimate more, as a fallen angel regaining her place. I never thought of Pillomon for the Child but that actually works pretty well, and it stops you from cross-contaminating with the million of Tailmon lines that already exist (plus Tailmon Child is a weird thing in and of itself). For Psychemon, while I get using the typical Belphemon line, I think a logical Adult could be Gururumon too. And for the Ultimate, Quartzmon is technically the canon one. I can't believe there's no good choice for a Ballistamon Ultimate. This series loves turning anything into robots, how the hell is there no robot bug Ultimate? Hell, it'd be a completely logical upgrade from Cannonbeemon, far more than the very unfitting (if still extremely cool) TigerVespamon.

I love Mailbirdramon so much so any attention to it makes my day :)

As someone who hasn't seen Xros Wars I do find this a pretty interesting video idea.

A Xros Wars video? I must be dreaming. (Xros Wars is the one I watched when I was younger so it holds a special place in my heart)

For Ballistamon’s mega I just go with Omedamon the medabots mega and say maybe he has some medabot data in him because he’s also a robot beetle like the two main medabots if you need some kind of logic to it. Also I like these kind of videos over custom art ones because it’s interesting trying to figure out how to take what is already given and make the most out of it in interesting ways and many of these ideas I didn’t think of before like Mailbirdramon to Cargodramon. Custom art videos are good too, especially for new digimon ideas, but these kind of videos satisfy some part of my brain a lot more for some reason.

As someone whose first Digimon anime was XROS, I'm very happy with this video. I know that it's a somewhat controversial series within the fandom but it has a special place in my heart.

Happy Sunday Karn EX! I really do love how every Digimon season has it's own Evolution gimmick.

Xros Wars has always had a special place in my heart (and getting this after a rough day was just great). ...not gonna lie when I say hearing some of these levels drove me up a wall. Sparrowmon looks more like an Ultimate to me and I just imagined it being a Patamon ultimate before this level stuff. Never knew Shoutmon's other form from part three was a Champion. I know they made OmegaShoutmon into an Ultimate (thank you ReArise), but just never knew that bit.

I personally have been championing (pun not intended) Brigadramon as a Mega for the Xros Wars Greymon line so even if you didn’t fully pick it I’m glad it was mentioned. It feels like a military helicopter version of WarGreymon which I think works great with the more modern tech feeling Greymon line

Well it is a created mega as the ultimate weapon for d brigade and it regular rookie is commandramon a military agumon with hi commandramon being the greymon it just has a weird ultimate with cargodramon

Yay, Fusion is one of my favorite Digimon shows, still hurts the season 3 wasn't dubbed.

For Spadamon, i always imagined him evolving into Leomon, then into Grapleo and then into Leopardmon.

Would love a custom art vid! Also, I actually really like Spadamon into rinkmon kind of a weird pick but really does fit and yeah we NEED more bug digimon

Awesome video Karn! If I can one more for this though, we of course don’t want to forget ChibiPickmon > Pickmon > Starmon (Rookie) > ShootingStarmon… and for an ultimate? SuperStarmon could work, but what about DarkSuperStarmon > Gankoomon?

I enjoy that pick of Lordknightmon since its got those little wing things on the helmet that kinda remind me of Rabbit Ears, especially in the photo of it with the rose.

These types of videos are my favorite! I hope to see one for the Frontier Digimon someday!

Xros Wars did some interesting things and introduced some awesome new mons like Dark Knightmon, Tactimon, and Shoutmon at a time when the franchise was kinda at a low point. I would love to see some of these be revisited in a more traditional adventure style series.

Xros Wars has my favorite designs in Digimon, so seeing them get some love is nice. I've kinda fallen into the niche of designing DigiXroses, and I'm always encouraging other people to give it a try, so I'd really get a kick out of a video about new DigiXroses because I'd love to see other peoples' takes on the idea.

I think Junkmon > Machmon > Locomon > GrandLocomon works pretty well Armamon as Spadamon’s Mega is works great and also I don’t care what anyone says, Tuwarmon and Arresterdramon are Ultimates and DarkKnightmon is a Mega Level to me Also an artist called NeoArchAngemon has made some great DigiEvo OC for The Xros War/Fusion Digimons

I really like the Shoutmon DX design being one of my favorite along with Omnishoutmon I even made a deck around the Red Omnishoutmon

These chooses are good and I personally like the idea of Gabumon being Dorulgamon rookie as Gabumon’s Yellow horn leaves him in the Garuramon line so this line he keeps his Horn.

In the TCG, they released a Dobermon alongside Ryoma, Psyche and Asta.

I'm actually a pretty big Xros Wars fan (it was the season that got me back into digimon believe it or not lol) and I think you did really good with these picks! Hoping for a custom art video tho, at least for the main characters!

DORUGORAMON MENTIONED LETS GOOO also I would suggest gundramon as a gumdramon evo because you just need to swap one letter lol but I enjoy the arrestdramon to magnakidmon evo that the vb used because it keeps the weapon theme of gumdramon but dorugoramon does work design wise the best

8:50 Well not on her own but with the other Journey to the West digimon she becomes -Buddhamon- Shakamon. Honestly given the way the story ends, it would actually make sense for her to be able to become Shakamon on her own though, even if they only ascened to arhats and not buddhas and Zhu Bajie didn't actually ascend at all.

Xros wars is so interesting to me cuz its a series i wasnt super into and ended up dropping but its one im interested to hear more of.

I hope we get more xros wars in the future because this video was great.

amazing video. I have only seen a bit of Xross Wars but liked the Megazord comparison, I would love to see more content like custom art for a traditional evolution or what if the other seasons had Xross Wars forms. Heck agumon X8 (the original Digimon) and Veemon X4 (02 Digimon) could even combine. since it is Christmas will we get to see another Christmas/ toy advert episode?

As a Xros Wars fan, I would love to see more from this this underrated series. For Shoutmon, I can kind of see Shoutmon to RedVeedramon (from Next Order) to Wargrowlmon and then Examon for a red dragon theme although Wargrowlmon I'm not as satisfied since it's part of Takoto's Guilmon. But RedVeedramon has been used a lot less and Examon being a big dragon and Shoutmon's mic being turned into Examon's blade weapon is a nice touch even if it's a stretch.

Yeah DX works as Shoutmon's main ultimate, the card game and a couple of games seem to go with that too. I remember reading a pretty good theory for Arresterdramon's line being related to Bagramon, at least based on some descriptions for Gundramon. Could work him as a possible candidate for Ultimate with the Brave Snatcher connection as well. I still like to think the SM with Brave Snatcher should could count as one though, weird decision to not do it. For me is weird how Darkknightmon became a perfect, and yet so much material and lore has him keep up with ultimate's and such and later receives an X-Antibody form that work as an ultimate for him, is like the weren't satisfied with that choice.

This was a great video with a lot of interesting and cool choices for evo lines and honestly I prefer when you pick from pre-existing digimon. I feel it forces a type of creativity thats different (not better or worse) than the art videos. I did wanna throw my digimon geek hat into the conversation though to not that in the digital monster 25th anniversary museum and exhibit, in the Digimon factions chart that was on display the legend arms were featured and Armamon was not present leaving its actual status as a legend arm dubious. I think if possible going through the LS-Tou zone dialogue in the game and theorizing about Armamon as a Legend Arm would be a cool conversation for the community but that's just my two bits

Xros Wars fan here (Although I prefer the General arc over the Hunters arc) and YES, I'd definitely be interested in a video where the Digimon get custom lines! The choices here are great, though! I especially loved the idea where Witchmon eventually evolves into MutantLilithmon, as the colors work well and I'm fond of seeing characters that were previously in an antagonistic role be a force for good!

I remember having some thoughts on if the other cross wars partners were the "base" for the digi-cross evolution. Kinda like how exveemon and stingmon make both paildramon and dinobeemon, ballistamon and shoutmon could possibly make ballistamon X2 instead of shoutmon X2. Not sure how much it'd change, but it'd definitely show more as you went up the evolution line to X3, 4, and so on.

Interesting choices and some of them are logical. I don't really like Xros wars, but Xros wars manga was epic. Fun idea - evolution lines for Warrior Ten/Ten Legendary Warriors without human and beast spirits.

For the DarkKnightmon line, I always liked Bagramon himself. The two are brothers it makes sense, that they share an evolutionary line.
