This is quite impossible because they both have great relationship Like they had a summit and there trades are great so no possiblity But if they did it really depends on the day and who invades and where like if they invade Vietnam then it will be hard seeing the fact they defeated usa France and somemore 50 year or more ago so if i had my guesses both whould probably sigh a peace threaty because the TRADE so if they did go to war both economies will lose GDP and allies

If a war between ASEAN and EU would break out it is certainly possible that Russia would join the War but idk if the US would join in the side of the EU or even join the war at all because like the European Union the usa also has some ties to ASEAN countries like for example. Singapore,Vietnam, Philippines, and Thailand too

if the EU and ASEAN went to war, i suspect it's gonna end in a stalemate

Although the EU has the military advantage and most likely will "win" the battles there is this thing called occupation and resistance. Assuming the EU dosn't go nuclear there is really no way for any side to effectively force the other into submition pretty much forcing a stalemate

The EU is hard to units because they war on each other and ASEAN is easy to units because they don’t go to war and they have access to other countries that can help them in the battle

They did in colonial era those era was china is rich but coward to fight foreign invader then complain today about south east asia having colonial memtally when they failed to protect asia despite they are so anciemt and rich.

ASEAN could ally with China and would still not stand a chance, the key here is NAVY, most ships in ASEAN's warfleet are older European vessels, they simply get spawn killed, before even setting sail and similar to ww2 Japan, if they lose a ship, their fleet gets smaller, if the EU losses one, they built another 5 and don't confuse modern container ship construction with modern Warship construction, there is a huge difference here, while the EU would struggle to get a hold outside of either small islands or Larger Harbor cities, they could get everything if they do it Roman style, meaning holding all vital area for 200 years and wait for the populous to get slowly Romanized, like in Spain or Gaul, but i admit its far more likely after a decade or 2 of Guerrillas fighting in Medium sized jungle towns, the War gets unpopular enough at home, for EU forces to withdraw

The EU could just blockade ASEAN and starve them until they give up. The food security index is the reason why I think ASEAN would lose. Since the EU would have naval superiority meaning they would be able to blockade ASEAN. Logistics in itself would destroy them, without imports or exports any nation on earth would get annihilated.

US lost to vietnam due to its environment and strategic plans which basically means USA lost to vietnam because vietnam was on defense.
