Anything would nearly be better than the garbage character that Disney slapped together. Disney has only made a small amount of good developed characters and end up making so many of them one dimensional or a complete Mary Sue. Personally I don’t care what sex/race/species a character might but besides the fact they’re a well developed character that we as the audience are able to watch them go through trials and tribulations that they must overcome to slowly gain the knowledge/power/insight needed to continue to advance themselves (or the story) within the story along with main/support characters having an actual arc that we can watch them grow through their personal issues as characters to become the best versions of themselves. The first 4-6 episodes of The Clone Wars animated series Ahsoka showed all of her shortcomings but kept at it and kept bettering herself as the series went on. She quickly became one of my favorite characters within the SWU. Then in Rebels they continued to show how she developed over the years and now in Ahsoka we’re getting Filoni to fill in many of the gaps through the flashback scenes to help us understand what she actually went through during the clone wars. It truly is sad that Ray Stevenson passed away because he has done such a great job as his character and I honestly hope his family grants them the ability to make a deep fake/cgi of his character so they can continue his story. If they allow it then Disney should pay the family for the rights to use his likeness at whatever they all agree with.

Loved this one. Having Rey and Anakin feeding off of each other to make them both better was a great idea. I imagine Anakin was close to unlocking his full potential in this.

Seems kind of likely if clone wars 2003 was Canon. Palpatine was shooting off at the mouth the entire time "how dare you; I will not be bullied; I'd like to speak to your manager" type stuff

I don't have words anymore to express how beautifully you wrote this one. Thanks for making these stories.

This is really well written and true to what would happen had Rey been born earlier somehow. I didn’t mind Rey in the Sequels and look forward to more stories with her to fill in the gaps and beyond. I’m viewing this as a AU/What If on her. Really loved the dynamic between the her and Anakin. Love the call backs to Numa and other stories too. Very well written.

Man... Rey could've been so much more. This alone is better than what we got in the Sequels, just as a concept. 0:24 That's... hella dark. Like, man, why kill her, could've just left and had her raise the kid, not take the kid away and kill her 😅 typical Palpatine

What if during the clone wars dooku abandoned Sidious, leaving the separatist council and grievous in charge while he travelled to the ruins and homes of other force factions (nightsisters, baran do etc) to create a new, better force faction. When he returns order 66 has just been executed and he joins the rebellion with his droid army, maybe training a new order of force sensitives.

Rather he managed to make Rey not a Mary Sue but someone who actually faces challenges and even suffers at times. She learns her powers through years of training as a Jedi with the chosen one as her master instead of spontaneously manifesting absurd power without training. And you know she actually learns lightsaber dueling and becomes one of the most proficient duelists instead of having fights with choreography so bad that they have to use cgi to edit out weapons from the enemies because they would have struck down the “main character”.

Ray deserved this character development better than what she was originally given, great story idea

I thought you say you didn’t change anything about Ray you changed everything about Ray. You showed she needed to be trained to use the force, and couldn’t even use it on a rudimentary level without basic instruction from Yoda. Once taught she had a certain affinity for the dark side, and you showed she had to be trained to use a lightsaber. She didn’t just pick it up and immediately know how to use it. You did a better job writing the character of Ray then Disney did.

what if Rey was Anakin's little sister? When the Jedi find Anakin, they also find his sister Rey Skywalker who is 4 years old to Anakin's 9. She was a result of Shmi being made to 'attend to another customer' - who may or may not be Palpatine. Anakin is an overprotective big brother who adores his sister and she him. When Anakin is freed, Shmi insists on him taking Rey with him to prevent her from becoming another slave. The council are more willing to accept Rey than Anakin, who is very protective of her. Rey has a vision of 'Mister Qui-Gon' being hurt by a 'Bad Man with a Pointy Head, and a red sword with two ends' (Maul), so in response the Council agrees to send another Jedi to Naboo. Qui-Gon is saved but is almost fatally injured. As a result of his near death experience he realizes that he has hurt Obi-Wan with his insistence to train Anakin so agrees to continue training Obi-Wan until he is ready. Anakin and Rey are brought into the Order, with Anakin joining the Pre-Padawan classes under Kelleren Beck and Rey with the Younglings under Yoda, where she eventually befriends a young Ahsoka who becomes a little sister figure for her. Eventually Anakin becomes Qui-Gon's padawan at 12, and later Rey becomes Obi-Wan's when she is 12. By the time of Attack of the Clones, Anakin is 19 while Rey is 14. thoughts?

With the finale coming up on Ahsoka here’s a grand idea; What if Ezra and Sabine fell in love??

Up until a certain point, the story of this video was pretty much the same as within the sequels except for Rey becoming a Jedi. I will say that Pente seems to tell the story better for a KZread video as of now.

You know, I can't say that Rey is one of my favorite characters, that honor would have to belong to Ahsoka. Still, I don't necessarily think she was a bad character either. The first fifteen minutes where she appears in The Force Awakens especially were some of the most well executed introduction scenes for a new character that I really enjoyed. What I think held her back was bad storytelling and bad writing. I will still enjoy those movies despite those flaws, but yeah, I prefer retellings like this that not only stay true to the characters, but give them a better, more heartfelt and inspiring story. Thank you again for that.

You made Rey a much more relatable character than Disney did.

I stomach Rey because of my love of StarWars but you do have me viewing her differently than before. I might even grow to like her.

Oooh, I really liked this one! Especially them both feeding off of the other and making the other try to be the best Jedi they could be. And Anakins genuine sadness at Mace dying and his journey to make up for it. Also, Rey just always being there for him and becoming family. That was amazing. I feel like this one could be made into an actual fanfiction.

What if Luke found Dagan Gera post ROTJ? Basically, Luke, searching for Jedi artifacts, finds Dagan and frees him instead of Cal years earlier, The two ways this could go is. 1.Dagan still falls to the dark, and Luke has to fight him and Rayvis like Cal did Or the more interesting of the 2 imo Dagan stays in the light and joins Luke’s Jedi order, perhaps he could become Luke’s battle master or master of the order. And maybe when Ben falls to the dark Dagan could tell Luke about Tanalorr so Luke has a reason to hope and him go there instead of Luke exiling himself. To regroup and rebuild so they can save Ben and fight snoke/palpatine

Even though Rey is already a Skywalker This makes her a Skywalker even more

Rey has always shown a sense of wanting to belong since TFA and her interaction with the OT characters like Han Solo, Luke, Chewbacca, and Leia makes it seems like they want to take her in as one of their own.

This is hands-down one of the best stories you've written, it makes me wish that somehow Rey and Anakin could've met in canon too. I already liked the sequels, but stories like these give me a greater appreciation when I realize what themes and ideas were payed forward in them that I wasn't aware of or didn't notice before. It is kinda disappointing to scroll down and see comments saying stuff like you wrote Rey better than Disney did when you said yourself that you didn't even change her character for this, just when she appeared in the timelines. It feels like people will take whatever excuse they can to dunk on the sequels, earned or not.

What an amazing story. I was apprehensive at first but man how you laid it out was absolutely amazing. Your best one ive seen yet.

If we are not thinking out of Spite, Rey probably does have a very Impressive potential considering her bloodline. I would say maybe it is between Ashoka and Yoda at best.. Although, It could be higher or different however I am not aware. Still, I believe that with the Sequels the main flaw was the issues with choreography being quite off and inconsistency. It is true that Rey's power in those films is a bit absurd even when you consider that Luke Skywalker definitely was very strong with little training, the difference was that his potential definitely surpassed Yodas as he was Anakin's Direct Son.. As well as the fact that Luke at least had a BIT of training... I could be wrong but I believe this is why people seem to Despise the Sequels or at the very least find them mediocre.

Thank you so much for this! I was thinking about what if Anakin trained Rey. They have a great dynamic, and I like that they helped/supported each other in an emotional capacity which both characters really needed. I always figured Anakin and Rey would get along well. Her confrontation with Palpatine was really good, I like this version of it much better. Her and Anakin standing against Sidious together was awesome. I know that you don't usually do Sequel character what ifs but when you do I genuinely enjoy them. Loved to see more down the line with Rey, Finn, Poe or even Hux and Phasma what ifs. Leia Organa what if she became chancellor despite the galaxy knowing her connection to Vader. Hell get obscure and do what if Kaydel was Ben Solo sister (especially since the actress was Carrie Fisher's daughter I think that would be special.) Can't wait for the next one. Again thanks for this it really made my day.

Love your stories. Not sure of your aspirations but you have a talent and have put the work into honing your craft.... It's impressive. I love how you quickly illustrate intimate dynamics between characters. My question is with Dathan. Wasn't he a clone of the Sith Eternal? I'm a little cloudy on when Palpy gained access to Exegol and the Sith Eternal. I haven't read all the legends but I've never heard this depicted version of Dathan and Miramar. Perhaps it's an overlap and there are two versions of their histories. Where did you glean this backstory? Pure fiction or was there a book or comic? Again, fantastic story. Personal favorite.

Great episode, i never saw the sequela but I like how Rey was written. Especially at the end how she saved Anakin from becoming vader. The only thing missing was a double bladed lighsaber.
