@@Blackinterceptor999 I meant to say that with this guitar tone. More bass or less I don't care. I think every new Metallica riff sounds better with this one. It shows that inside James's head everything is still the same, you know. The way he writes the riffs and the songs etc. But his current amp settings are crap and it doesn't punch immediately. It needs this guy in the video to sound absolute killer! 🤘

this shows one thing: that Metallica never actually changed, with a little more effort 72 seasons can sound exactly as thrashy as AJFA. I believe it's probably the best modern era metallica album to do what if .... on AJFA. Also, you my friend is probably the only person that is capable of adding just the right amount of bass guitar to the AJFA style mix. Most of the times it's either too loud, or too bassy.

Never underestimate the power of a great guitar tone. It wont make a shitty player good and it wont make a bad song not suck. But it can push an ok song to a good song. Metallicas guitar tone on the last 3 albums has been a little toothless to my ear. It needs the extra bite and more punch in the chugs.

Playing bass on AJFA takes full commitment! I know for some it is just a joke that the bass isn't there but it is there and it does add to that unique flavor for that sweet AJFA tone.

I don't think I've ever wanted anything more than a whole 72 seasons rerecorded version with this tone. AJFA was the nastiest album they've recorded by far in my opinion and with the way this was done with that album in mind is so far one of the best pieces I've heard in a long time.
