What I Wore / Fall Lookbook

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

As I recently made some new editions to my wardrobe (I now have 26 items in my wardrobe), I decided to film what I wore in a given work week and share it with you. Hope you enjoy!

    I enjoy your minimal, classic style. Mine is similar, although I wear scrubs for a good portion of my day. But underneath my white coat, I like clean classic lines. Makes choosing an outfit so easy, as most things go together! Love your videos - thank you for all the work that goes into them.

    I used to volunteer at a hospital so I've worn scrubs and some part of me envies people in medical professions because it's basically like wearing pajamas all day. Glad you've found an off-duty style that works for you!

    Thanks! Re: tailoring: I tend to only buy items that, if tailoring is needed, it's really simple tailoring that doesn't cost much. Taking in an entire leg to make the jeans tighter would be way more intensive and therefore expensive, but hemming them is no big deal--less than $20. The jeans were $40 to start with, so spending $60 in total on a pair of jeans that fit well is worth it in my book.

    Ah, I feel like it’s simple genius to not just rehang worn clothes, but to group them so you can clearly see at a glance what’s ‘dirty’. I’ll be implementing that little life hack. Question, for cat hair on garments, what do you use? (Trying to find a reusable, eco friendly lint roller that works. Because cat snuggling is serious business around here.)

  • @VestedInterests

    @VestedInterests

    4 жыл бұрын

    I still use a normal lint roller, but I don't use it that often. When I get home for the day, I hang my clothes as you've seen and change into pajamas, so the vast majority of snuggle time does not occur in my street clothes and they tend to stay relatively hair-free. Most of the time I'm lazy and, if there are hairs on my clothes, I brush them off with my hand. The only items I tend to lint roll, when needed, are my sweaters as they are more delicate.

    Great video. I was surprised that a top worn just once was considered “dirty.” Unless I sweat a lot or stain a top, it’s clean for 2-3 wears. Paints maybe more. Washing and drying clothes really reduces the life of garments IMO.

  • @VestedInterests

    @VestedInterests

    By "dirty" I really meant "this item has been worn so it is separated from my 100% clean clothes," but those items aren't really dirty. I hang an item back up if it can be worn again, which is the vast majority of the time. I do this so it doesn't get wrinkled and it gets a chance to air out a bit so I can continue to wear it. If something is actually dirty and can't be worn again before laundering, it goes into the hamper. All that to say "we're on the same page."

    Those black jeans look terrible at that length. They really need to be longer. Makes your legs look super stumpy at the current length. We should not see the tops of the Chelsea boots at all.

    @@emmabrooker166 Lol, they totally do. Any stylist will tell you that to create a longer leg, you want longer pants. That's why capri pants are a terrible look for everyone.

    Style is subjective and fashion is fluid. ‘Style Expert’ often translates to little more than fast fashion trends, pop culture pressure, and misplaced judgemental mindsets delivered via rude comments from behind the protective mask of social media platforms. But what do I know, I just wear what I like.

    I like cropped pants too 💁🏽‍♀️ although I prefer when they are “ankle length” that the bottom of the pant is very fitted against the calf which is hard to achieve when the pants are cuffed as the cuff adds a bit of volume
