I used to be a millwright at an osb Mill. I think the press weighed around a million pounds and was heated to 400 degrees. It pressed 12 sheets of osb 8x24 ft at once. Took it like 2 days to completely cool down for serious repairs.

Just ran across your channel. I have been a millwright for the last 42 years doing this exact type of work. Every job has it's own unique set of requirements / circumstances. For someone to armchair quarterback this type of work proves they should just be quiet and watch. The last machine I installed weighed 98 tons. You are doing great work most people will never understand the complexity of the work. Great Video you have a new Subscriber.

That’s something I wish I got to see a lot more of. I was always fascinated with all that stuff from the function of the individual machines to the entire system. 10:37 sometimes with pins like that you can hook an air line up to the grease ports so the pin goes in on a cushion of air. Some cranes and drill rigs are like that. Those presses must have some crazy tolerances to function with those seals like that.
