I want to read that book on Revelation. I listened to Tremper Longman lll's audio lectures on Genesis when I was going through Genesis and I learned a lot.

Thank you for taking the time to introduce these books. I am currently working through Revelation Through Old Testament Eyes. It is worth the read! I recently ordered Dr, Imes’ books. They are here on my desk awaiting my attention. I greatly look forward to reading them. I’m going to have to save my shekels for Behind the scenes of the OT. Your channel deserves more attention.

Heiser's book on The Old Testament in Revelation (taken from podcast notes) is another worthy read IMO.

Thanks for another great video! It was helpful hearing your opinions on these books. In particular, Text and Paratext sounds fascinating. How the Bible is Written and Behind the Scenes of the OT also sound like I'd find them interesting. I'm especially interested in chapter 22 of Rensburg's book as I'm convinced of the documentary hypothesis and think it likely that "the mark of unified authorship" is the work of clever redaction, but I'm always interested in reading alternate views -- maybe I'll change my mind again.

Thanks for the book suggestions. I found an article from Dr. Rendsburg about how he dates Genesis in Biblical Bulletin. It looked interesting, but some of his views seemed a bit circular. I feel like his argument is directed to the people who date Genesis to the Persian Period instead of those who date it to the Late Bronze Age. Definitely looks like an interesting read, though.

I would recommend Thomas Oden's systematic theology for a broad approach that is rooted in the early church. I also recommend the Counterpoints series from Zondervan where differet theologians are allowed to interact with and debate one another's views. Across the Spectrum by Boyd and Eddy is also really good.
