I, too, would like to see how you put the larger pieces together for the quilt. Seeing it being done is helpful, as I am new to quilting.

All of us who knit, sew, embroidery etc. are so lucky because we can take our minds off Covid for a while as we are being creative. I think the uncertainty of the future is a worry for everyone because we cannot at this point in time see the end. All we can do is be strong for each other and be understanding of those who are frightened too. Your quilt is so pretty and looked lovely. Stay safe.

There is something about you, that I can't explain. You are absolutely gifted in everything you do ☺️ without you noticing that you got a massive influence on people like myself, I'm a beginner and I've missed so much in the sewing, quilt and embroidery, thinking that I'm way way behind and can't catch up, but after discovering your channel, I know that it's Okay, take my time and enjoy whatever I'm doing just go slow and be good at it to every tiny detail . That's what have made me feel relief and also learning not to have the NEED to buy new fabrics just for the sake of it. You are my Guru . Thank you ❤️🤗❤️

Always look forward to watching your videos especially during these hard times. I watch a few sewing channels and yours has a gentle charm all of it's own. I find your manner very calming and reassuring that the process is as important (if not more so) as the result. I am a quilter and maker particularly loving hand embroidery. Keep up these lovely videos as they are much enjoyed and appreciated. 👍🤗

Yes Emma thank you for your kind words. We are in this horrible COVID problem together. Since March I’ve made 4 baby quilts and 1 appliqué quilt. This week was Melbourne’s Australia first week of freedom from total lockdown. I’m very proud of our city with 0 COVID and 0 deaths 4 days in a row! I pray the world can get back on track but people have to do the right thing. Lockdown really works! I love sewing and have recently bought Tilda’s Maple Farm fabric. Love your work and thanks for sharing. God bless.

Sooooo good that you are re-energised for working on your row by row quilt..... doing the 'hour a day' project to yourself is such a good idea.... I've been sticking to that and more since March this year. It's amazing what you can get done and cleared away. You just have to set your mind to it and once you get into the swing ...... things get done. It's good for the garden and all sorts of things. So good luck with the 'hour a day row by row' challenge..... and then your 'hour a day tidying out a cupboard challenge or the hour a day doing a job for someone else' challenge..... you'll find, like me, 'time flies by':).

Emma it would take pages and pages for me to tell you how much I love all of the things you show. Your work is really so beautiful. You are one of my favorites and always watch for your videos to pop up. I would love to see a video on your finishing your quilt. The colors and fabrics you choose to put together are amazing. It gives me so many ideas to think out of the box and try different things so thank you. I know videos do take a lot of time and work so I especially appreciate all you do in doing one. Thank you again.

You may find it easier to put the 3rd project together in two halves, then sew the centre seam. As smaller sections are less unwieldy. You have come so far. I can see that you must be getting excited to be close to done with your large quilt. I like working on more than one thing at a time. One I have to use the machine for and one or more to hand piece. Finishing smaller projects in the meantime, keep the feelings of achievement and inspiration going. Your x's could be a good long-term project, to use up scraps as they become available from other finished things, which make up into a memory of the other things you have got done. So don't beat yourself up over how long it takes. That is how a lot of quilts were traditionally done. I have seen tips for laying out a quilt, then taking a photo with your phone to make it easier to get things back in the right order. Or you could piece the blocks into strips or 4 block squares, to keep track and you could take out all but the outer cards out and reuse them. I have gout so larger things only get put together last or it gets too heavy for me, might work for your rsi. I saw a "Pool Noodle," method for making up a quilt sandwich, which means less used space, and less expense to set it up. It could work very well for hand quilting. I have to try a "tied quilt" with his method. Going to a quilt shop to use their table could be quite hazardous in these times. I live in a very small town with no cases, in a state of australia with very few cases of covid. So life is almost normal, I do feel a bit guilty to not be so stressed, but this a good thing for my health. Other members of my family and friends live in more precarious areas, so I get to worry for and about them. Stay safe, you and yours. All the best.

Nice to see you made some more progress with EPP work. I'm still working on mine the one restarted in first lockdown there is no sign I will finish this year. It's just I felt resistance adding extras to current rows. I want to do something else like embroidery and received some nice sewing books on Needle painting and applique with embroidery. Recently, reworked Cross stitch Dragon mini cushion completed in 2001 to add better backing and more decorative tassels. Unfortunately, I'm also a gamer as well, currently playing Animal Crossing on the Switch. Difficult to do anything at beginning of month with new critters and collecting seasonal DIY. Crafting in the game is not as enjoyable as making real items in real life. I have backlog of paused projects and new kits to finish but lately feeling unwell doesn't help. Nothing serious but irritating sore throat. I personally can't do multiple long term projects at one time. But smalls such as pin cushions, pouches give some variety from doing same project day after day. I feel the need to do some cross stitch ornaments normally Christmas crafting are done over the summer.

I would love to see how you join the larger pieces together, I can see your school teacher side coming out when you say some are visual learners and those that don’t celebrate Christmas, lol. I love to see your projects and wonder at how clean and crisp they always look, my projects whether knitting or sewing always look so crumpled, so I might just treat myself to a small iron and mine might look a little better if I iron as I go lol. Thank you for your vlogs and encouraging words to those that may be feeling a little unnerved or even frightened about the things going on across the world at the moment, it’s really kind of you to mention those people and how stitching can be a comfort and distraction.
