My name is Emma Jones and I am a UK based maker with a huge passion for English paper piecing, embroidery, patchwork and anything craft related! When I became a mum I put my teaching career on hold and in my spare time I started sharing my sewing online through my Instagram page (I’m @vintagesewingbox on Instagram) and my website www.vintagesewingbox.co.uk I’m really passionate about sharing my love of sewing with other people because I feel the benefits of slow stitching every day. It is calming, relaxing, creative and has a positive impact on my mental health and well-being. My KZread channel is another way I want to connect with people and share my joy of sewing. I aim to upload every Monday and you can expect a mix of tutorials, sewing hints and tips, projects and inspiration. You can find my patterns on my website and I also write a regular blog too. I hope I’ve inspired you to pick up a needle and thread today and that it has a positive impact on your life.

Love your new space very clean bright space l would like to buy a kit one day I do hexagons I have made needle books and project bags using 3/4 inch hexagons and a table runner with 1 inch hexagons put it in our local fair got first prize but nothing like you do from southern Ontario Canada 🇨🇦 hope you are successful in your future journey

Lovely space I am so envious. If you need public liability insurance now for your classes check out joining the Artists Union to see if it’s a membership benefit. We have this as part of our Equity membership for our classes.

Congratulations Emma! I would encourage you to get a plant or two (Sansevieria/snake plant is low maintenance and helps boost moods in the winter🪴). I was recently in London and stopped by Liberty. We also enjoyed afternoon tea in their cafe. Thank you for sharing your exciting news! 🎉
