Totally agree. I rent all my trucks. I have been asked alot why i do that instead of buying my own. For me, it's alot less overhead. Then i don't have the headache of repairs if something breaks down. I have specific people i go through for those rentals as well. That way i keep the same faces and it helps them out as well. Very cool of you to do the breakdown!! Congratulations on the new ventures. Hope everything works out well for you.

Hi Max, once again a great video with honest upfront and helpful information. Too many people make a business of scamming others into thinking that all you need is Instagram/Amazon to be able to make millions sitting at home in your boxers. Keep up the good work!

I own a moving company as a sole proprietorship and I can definitely tell you that payroll and truck rentals are my biggest expense categories.

Anyone who owns a business has my respect so much responsibility and work that goes into it, pretty much it needs your attention 24/7 but if it succeeds for you its amazing to be dependent in that way. 👍🏼

Very true. Recently I moved and i have a huge yard. Reached out to 12 dif. landscape businesses and 1 replied. Before contacting any of them I researched a average cost. The one guy who replied tried to charge me 30% more than the average. I found a reasonable service 50 miles away cheaper than what this local guy wanted.

I am legally blind (Visually Impaired), and I've been thinking about starting up a storage business. I feel like it may be the one business worth owning that wouldn't require me to do too much except paying taxes. Americans have a lot of things they want to hold on to.

I don’t own a business but this is still interesting.

Been in the moving business my whole life. The fastest way to go bankrupt in the moving industry is to get to greedy and have crazy high monthly expenses- thinking that high expenses always bring in high profits. Bruh better hope something like the 08 housing bubble doesn’t happen again, otherwise your gonna be super beat with no jobs coming in and high monthly expenses.

The moving business is a risky business heavily reliant on the housing industry. When the markets good it’s great when the markets bad it’s a living hell that will run you dry. The most successful moving companies know this and keep smaller operations so when bad markets come they can survive with low monthly expenses. Moving business that grow to big too fast never make it in the long run because they never anticipate for the work to slow down and trust me it always slows down at some point, however it also always comes back eventually.

Is your own salary/compensation included in the wages?

max!!! this is an fyi...i just started receiving in the past 2 days payments of 270$.....and on the unemployment site it said we will get those payments for 6 days in a row to equal 1800$

Trucks insurance how many trucks ? I pay over $900 for 3 trucks in CA . What about your trucks parking?

We do offer junk services to our moving clients if they need it but don't really advertise it

Within gross payroll is wages (what is paid to the employee), taxes, and insurance.

You can create a customer on your phone using quickbooks. It will create the customer in your data base. If you want to book a job, sync your calendar to your computer main calendar. Hope this helps
