I got an add for pulled pork on this video which was strange, but great content as always!
Love your Pozole recipe. You could have sauteed your onions, garlic and mushrooms in the soup pot and deglazed it. One less pot to wash. Hominy is corn with most of the nutrients stripped away down to the starch, which is super digestible. A can of corn niblets would be a good substitute. Also, I would probably switch out the chickpeas for pinto beans. And add some Cumin and Cilantro.

Has Sammy tried ginger powder? 1/8 tsp ginger powder was compared to Imitrex for migraine relief with positive results. Dr Greger mentions a study in his book and on his site but can't seem to post the link without comment being deleted. Damn, you’ve been following forever. I appreciate the support! I don’t have sun sensitivity I just try not to tan because I know that it’s not great for aging in for skin health. Ha ha but man the body looks so much better with a tan doesn’t it?

REALLY happy to hear that! When I start a diet (at the end of a bulk) my maintenance tends to be about 3200. As I get leaner and farther in, that drops, so I'd say my maintenance is about 2900-3000 calories right now. So it's a pretty conservative deficit of about 200-400 calories depending on the day. I'm trying hard not to give up any mass while doing this diet
Buddy, grow it long while you still can! I started getting a bald patch on top when I was around 30 and by 35 it was too big to hide 😂 Since then I've just shaved it all off once a month or so. Super easy but I miss my long hair!

May sound sacrilegious, but a keto diet could help her migraine issue, and you could definitely do it vegan! Dr. Chris Palmer has been making the podcast rounds recently promoting his book "Brain Energy", he is a leading figure in this dietary approach to certain mental diseases, which has over a century of history as therapy for brain disorders. It is worth a shot, and, what many keto people fail to mention, Dr. Palmer says the research indicates it's only necessary temporarily till you are in remission (several years at the upper limit), after which getting back to maintaining a healthy WFPB shouldn't be an issue.

Did you give the young guy some info on how to start a vegan diet? Peta has a flyer on starting vegan.
sharing my protein pizza crust (or bread tbh) I make daily 60g vital wheat gluten, 33-35g pea protein powder, 7-8g nooch, 230-240g besan/chickpea flour, 100g sourdough starter first in a big bowl use a spoon to dissolve the 100g sourdough starter in 240g of lukewarm water, then add the vital wheat gluten to make a slurry (this will homogenize a gluten network in solution), then add pea protein + nooch to stir evenly and finally use the spoon to mix in the chickpea flour (doesn't need to be perfectly hydrated because the dough will expand as it ferments and expose wet spots). Spritz the top with a bit of water to prevent drying and cover with a lid to leave on the counter for a day. With the spoon just stir and knead against the walls to tighten the surface to form a big doughball and transfer and shape in a cooking vessel (a nonstick pan maybe for pizza crust or a cast iron dutch oven for artisanal loaf) for several hours, and reuse the bowl for bulk fermenting the following day's dough (no need to clean because the spoon and bowl will probably benefit from being populated with the sourdough microbiome anyway). 130-140g of protein with effectively 70-80g of carbs after a 30-34hr fermentation. Cant go wrong

Here's what I find fascinating about your meal plan that you are experiencing the lean sculpted. One, you are consuming conventional supermarket food's. Two, your selection is all savory, with absolutely no fruit, including tomatoes and/or cucumbers, which are great hydrating food's that also impart lots of vitamins and minerals. Three, I would have thought you both would embrace a more high raw dietary approach for bulk, nutrients, and much more anti-inflammatory, which would help your GF's migraine issues as well as help your sculpting goals. Finally, I am impressed by your mentoring a young novice in the gym. Also, slipping in your vegan lifestyle is how we change the world... #High5

Great Q and I genuinely do, I love smoothies so much because I make them in a way that tastes like milkshakes. I have about 2-2.5 gallons of water (I sweat and run very hot, especially during the workouts)

More protein-ish vinaigrette and less fat: one TBSP Hummus, one TBSP Mustard, a little bit of water and a pinch of salt.
