What I learned from tracking my mood for one year! | Johannes Heuschkel | TEDxUniversityofLuxembourg
"Everyone knows that life is not always easy. It goes in waves. In this talk I want to share what I learned from one year of close self-observation. I want to bring awareness to omnipresence of ups and downs in life and how this can help you to create better days"
He is a psychology student in his 5th semester of the bachelor at the University of Luxembourg who also has experience in beatboxing, entrepreneurship and music production. 2015: Live performances at „Composer Slam“ at the Heidelberger Frühling
2015-2016: Beatbox workshops (Teaching young adults how to beatbox)
2018: Co-founding the startup „Silver Valley“ to tackle loneliness in older people This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

Actually the pretty profound discovery was that nothing stays the same, everything changes and you actually cannot completely control and make everyday be the way you want. Nice talk too!
It is all about developing your self-awareness with all the possible tools and methods you can: diaries, notes, meditation, mood trackers, GTD to-do lists and so on.
Great talk Johannes, that's awesome seeing you on TEDx! I've been thinking about this topic for a while and I figured that productivity (being in flow) and doing sth. with people I care about has the biggest influence on my mood. Besides that, the story you tell yourself in your mind about the things that you do plays a huge role as well!

Thanks for your input Linus!
Great video! I do wish the speaker took a little more time to go a bit more in depth on the subject. Not sure if he was time constrained but it would have been great to hear his thoughts on why we want to find what our best day looks like and how that can tie-in to mental health (fighting against depression, etc) and/or building new habits to help us grow.
Man I love this guy
nunca me he animado a escribir un diario, ¿pero como no se me había ocurrido hacerlo en excel?!
Hi, does anybody have any contact information (Twitter handle, e-mail etc) for Johannes. I'd love to ask if he happens to have a template of that spreadsheet for download or to share - I'd really like to do it too :-) Great talk.

Be grateful, stay away from social media (!!!) and surround yourself with people you really love (not the ones you or they pretend to love each other). Be bored, think, have healthy wake up times, have a tidied up room (and by that a tidied up brain). Eat less industrial sugar. Eat enough Vitamin C (paprika a day or 200g spinach), together with enough Omega 3 and enough proteins. When this isn’t enough, write me again :D
