Surely
Keeping the chicken is good idea but....not when you want to save coins on eggs. It might not break even coz sahii feeds are on the roof. The positive part is that you get to enjoy kienyeji eggs, you don't have to throw away left covers and its also a fun activity for the family

So true
Tip for Mahamri and mandazi DO NOT USE BUTTER! It darkens too quickly and can give a bitter flavour, i can give you my secret mandazi recipe. Use Margarine preferably unsalted

Ok I will keep that in mind next time 👍
About a year now since I first came across your channel and my do you make motherhood sound amazing! Hoping to one day run a household full of people I love as well as you do. I love your content Suzy ❤️
Nice. Nice. We continue to pray for you out neighbors. I kept a few chickens sometime back. The first batch did well. The second one was a complete fail. Just the price of eggs has gone up because of the rise feed that results from poor crop yield esp maize. Basically even if you keep your own birds the cost of feed will be real. Non the less having your own birds teaches kids to care for living things, they learn patience & you know what you are feeding your family.
Oh my goodness your children are soooooooooooo sweet I just love them ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
I bought an airfryer about 5yrs ago...its my best buy so far...you do sausages...bacon..chicken...chipos...fish...etc...invest in one Suzy...nowadays there are more advanced ones..better than what I got in nakumatt TRM 5 YRS ago...visit any hotpoint branch...you won't regret...all the best...your energy is always top notch...your meals n hacks...on point...I no longer buy lots of stuff in my house..courtesy of you...blessings
Your food looks so yummy ...yes even in South Africa if you buy 60 eggs it works out to R3 per egg its expensive ....if we can save why not ......i baked rusks this morning ...yooo the shops are asking to much for tasteless rusks ...we learn each day to be more productive .....God Bless ...enjoy all your videos ...tips and advice ......from South Africa
right on time.. i live alone and sometimes breakfast can get boring. wanted to move away from tea and bread.. thanks alot... great content
It's the song for me Suzy..And how everything looks delicious!
Well on the aspect of keeping kukus for your own eggs it's a very good idea.....but.... please do your research mostly on the costings coz the foods for the chicken have really skyrocketed and also how many kukus to keep to break even. Those are my two cents 🤣 as I aa a farmer
The potatoes were my best. Will definitely try them out. Thanks again for sharing. God bless you
Lovely thank you💖.....for mandazi I use warm milk, yeast n baking powder it comes out nice less sugar if u want it soft

Great
Suzzy my girl today you've taken us to coasto with the mbaazi Nazi na mahamri weuh!!it slaps like no one business!!I just enjoy your channel alot!!much love
Yummy yummy
I got some live chickens from a friend for Xmas last 2years and I've got so many eggs from them so I encourage. I have a Coop for them but I allow them to free range as well since I have a big compound with lots of soil for them to dig for worms etc. If you choose this method, bear in mind that your plants will suffer lol so you'll need netting to keep them out of your plants. If you keep them in the coop all the time then give them kitchen scraps as well as feed to give them balanced, varied diet. I say go for it. They will definitely pay for themselves if you take care of them

Suzy I find mandazi for me pia ni pata potea but mahamri i never go wrong .💕☑️
Rice and greens.and eggs..oky..I will
I make my mandazis in an air fryer. They rise on their own Look out for basket size when buying one since you have a large family 8kgs basket would be ideal for you
Good job dear I love your work 🙏🙏🙏
I like to make baked pancakes, just put your pancake batter on a well greased baking sheet that has a rim, and bake for 10-12 minutes at 350° you can add all your favorites to the batter too... blueberries, or chocolate chips, raisins and cinnamon....whatever, the pancakes are so light and fluffy......so easy. My husband likes them with chocolate, and instead of syrup, peanut butter. 😁😁 I love your videos !! Thank you for sharing!

Kienyeji chicken for meat and eggs is good plus you'll get better quality eggs. I started with just 1 roaster and a hen, before I knew it, I grew the number
Awesome content...the filming is amazing too
Wow, must try the recipes. I would encourage you to rear chicken. I started during COVID in 2020 to date and have never stopped. Mine are kienyeji improved. Never bought eggs and chicken since then.
Good content Suzzy,Kienyenji ones will eat the left over
Oh wow you are such a good cook

Very right on the difference of mahambri and maandazi 😍

Na kangumu 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
a kilo of wheat flour i prefer dola some blueband quater kilo of sugar some yeast cadamond powder milk for kniding and coconut cream soo in a bowl mix flour sugar cadamond and yeast then add the blueband and knid using milk then make balls your own desired size let them rise make them in to a circle and cut into four deep fry them in very hot oil and boom you have mahambris
For the potatoes in the oven, add all you have said plus oregano and add 3 table spoons of oil, cover with aluminum paper for 20 min then remove the foil and continue baking for 15min. You can also cut the potatoes as wedges. Enjoy
Me 🥰🥳🤗🏃🏽♀️💃🏼... Every time I see Suzy's Homestead notifications

Thanks a lot for sharing, the kukus idea is awesome will keep the kids excited and busy. I loved the potatoes recipe
👌
For the mahamris after you cut them into triangles, let them rest again to puff. Personally, I only puff mine after I have cut them for like 5mins then deep-fry. Then also my personal preference for the mbaazi, I don't add all those spices, I just add salt, loads of onions, cardamoms, coconut milk then later on coconut cream, then since am a grown up whole green chillies

I don't know what you need but what I know it's a very good idea before we go broke us who have 4 children,if I had space o would definitely do it
Suzy I love your cooking I do follow you keenly, I am asking that write the spices you use in cooking hapo jini
Suzy where do you buy the parchment paper
Actually Suzy you can make all cereals in that manner coz coconut has its own fat/oil and exclude the the one you pour ontop
Hi, interesting video! Where do u buy the chunk of bacon?
Wow good and delicious. About chicken rearing you have to consider the feeds are you free ranging them, managing diseases and vaccination and finally the breed you want all the best as you research but I would advise you start small
