DSA never gives out direct money, at least as far as I was told when I applied. You need to look into PIP or possibly contact your local councils benefits department.

This allowance is admissible to International disabled students or not ?

what kind of symptoms did you mention to get the nice little extra stuff like the mouse, keyboard, book chair, laptop stand?

I just described the symptoms that I have like widespread chronic pain, specific pain in hands/arms/legs etc. I encourage you to mention specific symptoms and also specific issues that these symptoms cause like pain when using a laptop at a desk or holding a book.

Oooh. Good video. Mentally comparing all the stuff I got. Printer keeps not connecting and my laptop is basic but they work. To be honest there is a limited amount they can offer someone with mental health issues. I don’t really use any of my softwear as it is to much effort. Like speaking into the microphone to type just took ages with loads of mistakes. I am sure your stuff is really good for you though.

Some of my stuff was super useful and some of it wasn't, wish i knew back then what i know now i would have been able to ask for much more useful stuff

Hi sweetie i just have to arrange my assestmant appnt i have multiple sclerosis and ill need helpful stuff tnx for the tips i dont know which center to choose maybe London ones but anyway it will be online cos of cov 19 my uni wants me to have printer laptop specific definitions and graphic tablet headphones with mic do u think i can have them as i dont have even laptop its expense i never spend 🙃after the baby and diagnosis tnx again sweetie 🤗

Im afraid I cant help in terms of location as mine was in Newcastle but you should be fine on getting the laptop as the rules were if you don’t have one or your laptop is over 5 years old then they will give you one. They will give you either the standard laptop or you can pay a bit more to upgrade. Im not sure about the graphics tablet but the rest shouldnt be an issue at all as long as you give them good reasons why you should have it, good luck! :)

I have several disabilities that mean that I am at a disadvantage to other students, I was assessed and it was decided that these things may help me in lowering the effect of that disadvantage. I am using four of them right now as I write this comment. DSA is literally there to give you 'goodies' that is what its for, if by 'signed up just to get goodies' you mean spending hours of my life going into great detail about my conditions with a stranger to be given things by the government that may aid me in completing my studies.... then yes I guess you're right.
