    I would honestly love to see just more downtime activities. Outward had a hardcore crush vibe once you started the main story, where you had to basically run straight from quest to quest before starting the next stage and then it was just main story. Don't get me wrong I like the idea, but I'd rather it were more like Soroboro side quest where you get a whole 100 days and you can refresh your time limit, and maybe segment a few quests to more or less progress throughout the main story. But mainly, I'd love to just see a bit more splice of life content like you were saying; interacting with the world, interacting with people (maybe a relationship system), gardening in a way that means you can plant specific crops that you know you will you. Gardening, that was something I so wished for, like let me pick plant seeds and plant the things I need.

    Hey there Church! Looks like I’ll be waiting for some tips in this second game from you just like I did with the first. Lost count how many times you helped me getting items! Especially that white bird hat was it Pearl bird? The one that made you walk faster. That was an essential item with all the walking you have to do in game. I’ll try to work things out myself but I know who’s YT vids I’ll be checking out when I’m stuck!!

    Cool video. So keen for this game. Your idea of a trading system would be really cool, buying low somewhere and travelling to sell high somewhere else. I think customisable backpacks would be cool, like each backpack has a certain amount of upgrade slots and then a bunch of upgrades to pick from so you can mix and match and make your own customised back pack for your build. but I totally disagree with the fast travel. No fast travel is one of the reasons I love this game. I also think mounts would kinda ruin it a little too, the slow travel is something that gives this game the sense of adventure. Something I think would be cool and it kinda looks like that’s what they’re doing here is a pack animal, that doesn’t increase your movement speed but allows you to carry a bunch of gear, but enemies may attack it so you have to keep it safe otherwise you have a bunch of gear that you can’t carry now. This would be great for moving from one city to another

    Things I would like to see in Outward 2: 1. More ranged weapons, more specifically, Rifles, Crossbows, and Hand-Crossbows. Guns deal the most damage, crossbows have the best special ammo, and bows have the best speed. 2. Self-Training. Basically, you spend enough stamina, and you'll get a small boost to it. Eat too much food and you become fat, so you have more health and less stamina, eat too little and the effect is reversed. Maybe also special skills you can learn yourself if you accomplish certain things? 3. Better Crafting. Expand upon the basic crafting system to also include blacksmithing, maybe also make it so you're an active participant in the crafting? (Like the Jacksmith game) 4. MINIONS!!! At inns in various cities, you can hire mercenaries to help you fight and explore. If you don't want to spend money, you can summon a familiar/demon/spirit/etc using a new type of magic called summoning/demonology/spirit calling. This would make support builds viable solo and give an excuse to add more team-centric abilities.

    A few things I'd like to see in this game in comparison that the first one didn't have or lacking of Is a more robust character creator similar to that of elden ring, dark souls or maybe skyrim. and maybe, if they got the cash to support it is maybe give us an option (and of course still be able to play single player) to join an online server full of other people to meet ingame and maybe to a bit of coop with, and along with that and I know not many people like it is soulsborne game but maybe pvp too if possible, but obviously if the games going to have an online world to meet and greet with others players there needs to be a a way to initiate it instead of having pvp enabled all the time, because then the games going to get toxic real quick with griefers and sweats running around. so my way of solving this would either have to be an optional thing once you approach another player to ask them to either coop or duel and if they say no to you then that's about it, or maybe have an arena based thing for players who do wanna pvp like me sometimes to test our mettle against one another in a place that won't affect nor get into people's way who absolutely want nothing to do with pvp.

    the dev said were not getting mounts, but hopefully the fast travel system for 200 silver could be a thing. its just silly, I'm pretty positive that most medieval explorers at some point would most likely get a horse.

    One of my top games ever. Absolutely love this game. I hope they have more feeling of impact in the combat. But I hope they also keep you feeling kind of slow in combat, I like that you don’t feel super quick in combat, it means you can’t just hack and slash which I love.

    Would be good if the char could swim, so if your char falls of a cliff and gets stuck in the air you do not have to completely start all over again because he just could fall into the water and swim... That was such a gamebreaking bug I never touched that game again...

    I really hope they make playing as a pure mage more viable. You hit the nail on the head about smoothing out the combat a little, if that’s worked out then some buff to playing pure mage even at end game would be it for me.

    Playing a mage did feel a bit fiddly sometimes, and a bit underwhelming at times but also very powerful occasionally. Hex Mage was very powerful but yeah, magic is for sure another area that could use a bit of smoothing/refinement

    If I could ask for one thing it would be that outward 2 just gets like 20 dlcs I mean tbh there first game is one of my favorite games of all time i mean nothing beats skyrim but thats just my opinion the game looks just like outward as in features an play just upgraded from the graphics an clunkiness which only I love outward just needed those to things so all I want is future content an as much of it as I can get so the game never gets old to me or if they add mod support to console an pc for both worlds just like creation club on skyrim Love nine dot bc of outward an will always follow there outward style games

    A carriage home would be pretty cool, could work well as being a thing you need to protect while transporting goods and still act as a nice little home Outposts would work nicely as little areas to chill for a bit between adventures, maybe the ability to have an outpost in each region or something, could possibly even have the outposts get attacked or something occasionally

    Love the channel but I disagree with several of these suggestions :( Especially the "Kill X of Y to get Passive". One really significant way Outward stands out is that it's Open World content is entirely driven by uniqueness, there's no repeatable anything. Contrast with every other Open World game that has "lists" of things that you end up doing 5,10 or 100 times. Even Elden Ring which for the most part doesn't feel like a Ubisoft style game still has a Church, a Mine, a Crypt and a Cave in every Zone... FF7 Rebirth just came out and it's bogged down by the same Open World repetitiveness that we've seen dozens of times before. Outward and the older Elder Scrolls games are the only Open World games that I know of that don't fall into the "Lists of Things" monotony.

  • @ChurchyPlays

    @ChurchyPlays

    4 ай бұрын

    Sure some might be kill X of Y to get passive, but the general point is more do X or some number of X that may occur naturally while playing to then unlock a passive and in conjunction with the other ideas, the passive or passives then gives you access to a trainer / skill tree that revolves more around achieving things out in the world rather than just paying silver for skills I think the main thing for me is just that I'd prefer to earn my characters power/skills to some extent by actively doing things in the world / engaging with the world, especially the more powerful skills, rather than just paying silver, that could be implemented in many different ways and I think a combination of the Outward 1 currency based system with layers of a world engagement based system could be really cool, could possibly even allow players to either pay for a skill or earn it in the world somehow. Ty for watching and sharing your thoughts, has got me thinking about it again haha

  • @ab-ym7mf

    @ChurchyPlays I could see a blend of both, such as sprint for X meters in game to gain a skill like Marathoner, stuff like that could clear up room for skills in actual trainers skill trees, or more quest skill opportunities than those that are locked into main story quests. I do like the way you have to actually train with masters to learn specific techniques, but some passives feel like they'd make more sense to learn by doing. This way you add layers to the skill system that is already famously unique.

    Not trying to be a dick, really not, but if everything you just listed was done it would not be Outward anymore.. it would be another shitty ass rpg. carful what you wish for... The only thing they "need" to do is give us a reason to kill that bandit or wendigo rather than running around it and skipping it. give me a reason to kill the average mob in the game. i never left a pearlbird alive if i didnt have his mask. and maybe, just maybe a way to repair our weapon on the fly other than sleeping and/or smith in town.

  • @ChurchyPlays

    @ChurchyPlays

    You just have a different opinion, that doesn't make you a dick, tbh I'd just be happy if they refine the combat, which it sounds like they are doing so that's already a win. Yeah more motivation to kill certain things rather than skipping could be good, always felt so good when a pearlbird mask dropped And a way to repair on the fly could be useful, perhaps some skill investment needed to allow it or rare consumable repair kits The repair at tent system could be a lot more interesting
