kinda unforgettable how our criminal justice teacher got fired because she was the head of one of our schools programs and was selling t-shirts for the program at a marked up price and keeping the profit. she also got caught fixing and selling students broken school laptops and got charged for that too. i never had her as a teacher, but word spread around the school within the same day of her firing

At my High School, a student kept purposefully getting held back to r*pe the special Ed boy students. He ended up staying a 9th grader till he was 21 and "aged out" of the school system. In my district, you technically can be in high school till you're 21 if you keep getting held back. The school didn't care he was doing that to those poor special Ed kids as we had a rule where if it's not observed by a teacher, it didn't happen. I was a victim as I have Autism (I fought back and got suspended for it but the 21 year old got no consequences whatsoever) and once I graduated, I sued the school and him. I won an 8 digit settlement over it as the 21 year old had aids and gave it to everyone he did this to. Tl:Dr kid got held back till he was 21 so he can give special Ed guys aids.

I didn’t learn about this until years later but it turns out, my school principal was embezzling funds from the school starting from what everyone I’m still in contact with and I went there worked out to be our last (second last for some) year of school. Another thing that was probably illegal was the year after I left: they turned a class room (the size of a standard classroom in my country) into a game room, and a storage room (about half the size of a small office) was made into a classroom. The student’s numbers stayed the same, and if anything like paperwork had to leave the classroom, the teacher would have to pass it to someone in front and proceed to pass it back until the person received it, or a student would take it to the destination. If anyone needed to leave the room, the people in the back row had to stand up, take everything, including their desks and chairs, and stand out in the hall or sit on the floor until the student came back; eventually, the students refused to do any work until they got an appropriately sized classroom or a smaller class. When the parents realised their kids weren’t lying, they brought it up with the school board, and the game’s room was gone, which upset the students who used it, but they were told by students who got the "new/old classroom" that if everyone of them can complete all their work, make it to their next class on time, and avoid all arguments, then they’ll go back to the way things were before. A lot of students wanted to try it, but some backed out when they realised it had to be a whole class size. Some more backed out when they saw the actual room. Some more backed out when they figured, "Why do I need to go in there?" "Plenty of people are willing to do it." I wonder why no one took the challenge. 😂

Now I have quite the story. It all started one day in math class. It was June, so the windows were open, and lucky me I had a window seat in the front corner. I was just dozing, and heard an explosion in the distance. It sounded not too far, but given how loud it was, it must have been pretty small. I then see someone running from the direction of the explosion to the school building, and think not much of it. (Also for context there's a parkette near my school, and my window faces it. Later on in the day (final period, a few minutes before everyone goes home) there's an announcement saying something along the lines of "Students please remember fireworks count as explosive devices, and as such don't bring them to school". I made the connection the small explosion near the school I heard earlier was the firework, and thought nothing more of it. Timeskip about a week, my and my best friend are walking to his locker after we finished our lunch. On the way we see the principal and someone else I don't remember outside the second floor boys bathroom. It's rare to see them not walking somewhere, and judging by their feel something had happened. Turns out someone had set off a firework in the bathroom (fizzler type, not explosive). My and my friend continue walking, and I recall a rumor I heard of a fizzler being set off in the cafeteria (I don't go to the cafeteria, and rarely if ever walk by it, so I wouldn't know), and I semi-jokingly say "The next one is going to be in a classroom". My best friend said something along the lines of "Watch what you say" and "I hope not". Timeskip about another week, I was sitting in that same math class playing games (today was effectively review), then I heard something that sounded kind of like rushing water from the back of the class. I turned and once people started screaming I elaborated that it was a firework someone threw into the classroom. Thankfully it was a fizzler, so nobody died (if it was even the smallest explosive one at least 4 people would have died in it). Once it fizzled out the teacher called the head office and accepted that nobody was going to learn anything after almost possibly dying, so he put on tiny food videos for the rest of the class and let us do what we wanted. At the moment it was pretty terrifying. Even though I was at about the safest location in the room relative to the firework, that still made me realize how easy it would be for someone to just throw an explosive into the room. I can't imagine what it was like for the people at the back of the room right next to the firework. The student who threw it was eventually caught, and to my knowledge at least suspended, possibly expelled. At least in the end I got to brag to my best friend about correctly predicting this a week in advance, although I wasn't expecting it to be MY classroom.

Finally, something I can comment under Tail end of my Senior year, my Mythology and Science Fiction teacher was Frank Bayer, who turned himself in to the police after sleeping with one of his students. Both he and the student he slept with said she approached him while he was going through a rough divorce. Reached statewide headlines for a bit but really stung for me because he was both a chill and very supportive teacher and the Dungeon Master that got me into D&D, which helped me with my social anxiety greatly. Thus, you can imagine how shocked I was when the news was talking about his arrest. There were news vans outside for weeks.

Oh man I got LOTS of stories from my high school I'm so glad I can share them. 1. (This one I personally witnessed my second week of my freshman year) A guy and his girlfriend got into a huge fight (not sure what about missed that part) and she threatened to have her friends come shoot him so he picked her up and threw her down a 3 story stairwell. Not down the stairs. Down the literal STAIRWELL. 2. A girl I was previously friends with in elementary was caught with 3 pounds of coke in her backpack, got arrested and never came back. 3. 2 guys brought guns to school and posted pictures of them on snapchat in their laps in class. When lunch came around and they found the 2 guys, they pulled out the guns and started running through the cafeteria. The teachers screamed at us to run. They caught the boys about an hour later hiding in the woods. 4. I just found this out last year but my high school football team had to forfeit all of their wins for 2 seasons because the principal used fraudulent documents and money from other programs to enroll students specifically eligible for the varsity team. He was supposed to get fired but instead gave him a promotion to the school board.

Not high school, but the principal of my elementary school molested boys who came to his office. (Shoulder rubbing, they say on his lap, etc). I know some of the boys he did it to. They recently testified against him. I highly respect them now, because it must’ve been really hard for them but they did what was right. The most sickening part of this was the kids he did it to didn’t understand it was wrong until an organization came to our school informing kids about grooming. Absolutely sickening.

Kids bring guns regularly - etc. It's kind of regarded as the metaphorical hood of the district. So of course - there was never just any ONE incident, here's a few to start: - Drugs found in the girls bathroom ceilings. - 2 boys raped a special Ed girl. - A girl got beaten so badly blood was literally on the wall. And then in my school, a kid brought a bullet last year and it turned into a whole situation. (Edit: Changes "was" to "is". Place is still around, for better or worse)

My history teacher worked at a school in long Island for kids that were kicked out of public school. They would either have really bad behavior or really bad learning disabilities. Many things happened at the school but the worst was when a kid got stabbed in the neck with a screwdriver, it didn't hit any arteries so he survived luckily but I doubt he went back to school for the rest of the year. He also was unintentionally punched in the face, basically a kid kept antagonizing another kid and his friends and kept going at him. He kept doing this until the kid can't take it anymore and is ready to throw a punch. My history teacher sees this and immediately sprints to the fight, the punch was already thrown and he intersected it with his face. If he ends up reading this, sorry for telling the story instead of you. You were always the best teacher.

The Boys Soccer B Team was on a trip to Europe playing soccer over there. My former coworker (he lost his caddie job over this) and classmate, along with then others, decided to get some five finger discounts because they thought they wouldn’t be caught. Three stops in they get confronted by officers from several stations. They had footage of them stealing from several stores, booze, snacks, trinkets, etc. The trip got cut short and they were flown back after fines were paid. They were given criminal records for it, served their community service back here in the states, were banned from all sports and after school activities, detention every day for their remaining years at the school, and ruined their reputations in our area. Half of the B Team were busted. The other half was suspected of knowing about it all, but never proven as they had been off doing their own thing in their free time. My former coworker, as mentioned, got let go over this from his caddie job. His father had a habit for trying to get on my nerves when I caddies in his group, because I was seen as a shut in normally. I quipped about his son’s criminal record and it got him to shut it. Granted he told the caddie master he never wanted me in his group ever again, but even he knew about the harassment I would get from him and always paid me extra for dealing with him.

Have a couple from about 15 years ago. 1: Couple of bomb threats were called in at the school, don't think they ever found who did it, but we ended up having wear ID's and could only have clear backpacks and bags for at least a few years. 2: After a fight between two girls, an SAT prep teacher got ousted for sexting a sophomore girl (I was a junior at this point). Last I heard, they hired him back on but that was quite some time ago and these types of people never learn their lessons. EDIT: And one from my elementary school days. Believe I was in 3rd grade and our class was outside for recess. I'm in the middle of a Yu-Gi-Oh game with someone I grew up with (school was usually fine with card games as long as you weren't fiddling with them in class) and all of a sudden our recess chaperone (or whatever) yells at us to get up beside the building. Turns out someone whose mental faculties weren't all there decided to strut across the schoolyard without pants on. Not sure if anything happened there either.

3 Years ago, when I was in 4th grade, the gym teacher (also vice principal) came running with a weird voice into our class almost out of breath, in the middle of the lesson. We asked what happened. Her voice sounded like that because she had inhaled to much smoke in her attempt to save any children that were trapped in the boys toilet, that was on fire. Turns out, a kid from the 1st grade had lit the whole boys toilet (not a stall, the whole room) on fire. He never got arrested. We peed in the girls bathroom for 1 month while they rebuilt the burnt bathroom. I honestly don't know how he got away with something like that. Also, I do not think it is illegal, but I will still say it anyway. 2-3 Weeks ago, someone threw 3 lemons into the computer class (I was in there - the lemons came in from the window next to me). They almost hit a kid in the face. That would be illegal but it thankfully wasn't (I mean that thankfully the kid didn't get hit). A friend who is in another class, told me that the same thing had also happened to them the other day. It's been almost a month now, and it hasn't happened again, so hopefully, I won't get a lemon to the head.

Update : The lemon thing happened again today in art class. (It is 11PM now, so earlier today). Edit : Just remembered, that a month ago, in art class again, we were painting with watercolor and someone threw paint on a girl and ruined her QUITE EXPENSIVE clothes AND shoes. It was literally about a spoon-full of the paint. Red as blood. She was crying, and cursing his whole family for 15 minutes. Also, what is going on with relationships here? Unfortunately (or fortunately) I don't have a girlfriend yet, and it is probably too soon to have one, (7 grade), so I don't quite know how it is being in a relationship, but there hasn't been 1 day for the last month that a break-up didn't happen here. There is particularly 1 girl and a boy from the class next to ours, that break up all the time. (The girl is from our class). She cries during the lesson, and "needs emotional support from her friend", so 3 girls go to the basement, with the "girlfriend" one literally shaking like they told her her father and mother were just killed, and they skip the whole lesson. Ahhhhhh. Girls...

Oh yeah: We also almost had a shooting. The school police officer saw a kid pulling a gun out of his backpack and then sprinted and tackled him, and once the weapon hit the ground he kicked it underneath a table so the kid couldn't grab it and so it was less noticable to other students.

The one I remember best happened when I was a freshman in highschool (14-15 for you non-Americans). Two of my classmates were caught smoking cigarettes in one of the girls locker rooms, and you could smell it from down the hall all the way to the band room (opposite ends of the same hallway). It was nuts because the next gym class (mine) had to deal with it until we told someone.

It got so bad her house got raided (that thing where valueable possesions get taken away from her, by law enforcement) and it made national news headlines. To make matters worse the school in question was a special needs high school. We all kind of suspected something like that must have gone down, joked about the sus things happening and made the best out of it.

PE teacher was accused of smoking pot in school. When police opened the door to his room the entire room was covered in so much smoke that it was like snow so thick it could cover a literal limo. The entire room had so much smoke the smoke had actual mass and the door had serious problem being opened and the tiny window actually had to be broke in order to release enough smoke to have space for the door to be opened. Clearly he had been smoking on the school. So basically the couch had been smoking in there so much and he never allowed any of the smoke to exit because he got so stupid on weed he literally thought the pot smoke was an alien creature that asked him to hide it form the government. Do not smoke pot it makes you literally psychotic. The dude was being crushed by the smoke and if the smoke does not have a place to go it will literally be so slow to dissolve that it could stay there for months.

@@Getcrustified That is what marijuana actually does to people yet people who smoke think they are perfectly fine. When people smoke they literally cough constantly and never realize they were coughing. People who smoke pot literally do not realize what is actually happening. After 3 times of smoking a joint people cough up blood and they never realize they were coughing up blood because marijuana shuts down peoples memories and ability to comprehend reality. Marijuana attacks the central nervous system and can easily cause people's subconscious cellular structure to forget vital functions like breathing. Literally forgetting how to breath after smoking marijuana is how my step brother died. Over 250,000 people die every year from that exact reason but governments and rich people make massive amounts of money off marijuana so they refuse to ever tell the truth of what it does to people. Hell one of the oldest videos still in existence was actually one of the first life broadcasts and on it was a guy who was debating people and trying to get marijuana legalized back in 1903 to 1906 and on life broadcast he died of a heart attack from a hallucination of being attacked by a pack of wild dogs when in reality there were no dogs for over 100 miles. He literally hallucinated after smoking 1 joint and his heart exploded from him freaking out and screaming about being attacked by wild dogs when in reality there were no dogs there. The messed up fact is to prove that it was completely harmless the guy did not smoke any weed for 5 years before he did 1 joint. Really messed up fact is the joint was placed into a glass jar and was sealed shut by having glass literally melted over the top of it and it was 100% sealed until 2002 when it was ran threw specialized tests to prove that it was laced with something to prove to people that it was poisoned but really fucked up fact is that it was not laced with anything and was the purest of marijuana to the point that it was literally without perfections and should have had 0 problems ever but that is what marijuana does it causes peoples brains to be completely fucked.

Our teacher in basic organic synthesis once told us that when we enter a lab, we can disregard all protective equipment EXCEPT the goggles. Then proceeded to grab his eyeball and pull it out of the socket. Now doing synthesis, I still put the goggles on before even entering the lab, not wearing a coat nor gloves most of the time. You can burn your skin to the bone and it will probably heal just fine. You can inhale some shit and maybe loose a few years of your life. But all it takes is one splash into your face and you are done for the rest of your life. Thats it for this life. Also had someone try too jump off the second story of one of our blocks one time over a breakup, the school was in lockdown for 3 hours and my class ended up just messing around on our phones doing what Aussies do we got to know everyone a lot better in that time. Back a few years ago now 2013 to be exact I was in year 1 when a bushfire broke out in the blue mountains where I still live today, the fire was named the linksveiw road fire, the fire started from powerlines hitting a tree and quickly spread with north easterly wind. School had just ended when the main road was blocked to the south and a spot fire had flared up tpro the north, we were all evacuated to the shopping centre where the mercury hit 50°c 124.3°F the heat still has left some marks around my back today, if anything were to top that I'd hate to imagine the possibility. That fire would go on to destroy over 200 homes and damage another 190 it was a miracle that Noone was killed in this, a video titled “emergencyin the blue mountains” shows it well

They told the teacher and the teacher had to get the vice principal to the boys bathroom, to get invisible ink UV light, turn the lights off and see what they wrote, and he had to call mostly every single boy in the class and ask them questions and at some point the dude who did it framed it on another kid who wasn’t involved in ANY of it and got suspension for a day.

We were placed under lockdown for awhile, and the class i was in was one of the ones sent to the new gymnasium. It was a bizarre situation. Police tried to write it off as an "accidental death". The mat was upright when found, one shoe on, and the other was on the bottom, while his body was upside down. The police tried saying "he got stuck while trying to retrieve his shoe". It doesn't take a detective to know thats a load of crap. It was clear that it was a murder staged to look like an accident, albeit a pretty dumb accident. The murderers in question were the Bell brothers. They had a beef with Kendrick, and their dad was a fed. I wouldn't be surprised if bribes were paid. Terrible situation, and even though I never knew Kendrick personally, I'll never forget.

She and her boyfriend (who was 23 at the time) went to her younger friends house (who was 14 at the time) to go hang out and do drugs together. All three of them wanted to leave at one point but the younger friends mom wasn’t letting them. My friend hit her over the head with a pan until she was knocked unconscious. Her boyfriend tied her up and once she woke up, the younger friend proceeded to shank her over 10 times. The three finally left and locked her in the house, still tied up. The mom finally got out of it all, and ended up jumping out a two story window to her freedom. She contacted police, police caught all three of them, and the mother decided not to press charges on her son but did press charges on my friend and her boyfriend. Friend got out early on house arrest since she claimed for insanity, and the boyfriend is still locked up for predator charges, robbery, assault, etc. I don’t really talk to that friend anymore, but she occasionally will text me to check up on me.

The girl comes back from the bathroom and took a quick gulp from her canteen, immediately gagging. This alerted the teacher who went over to investigate. Now, this teacher is one of the nicest men I've known and could never get mad at anyone, even when the students are being disruptive or make fun of him for being such a nice guy. That being said, when he found out somebody put hand sanitizer in this girl's canteen, he. was. FURIOUS!! He loudly demanded the whole class to be silent, and told us what had happened. He also said that whoever did this literally committed a criminal offense because hand sanitizer is technically poison because drinking enough of it can KILL you. Everyone was shocked. Luckily, the girl reacted fast enough to not swallow and would have only drunk a little bit if she hadn't (still dangerous). Nonetheless, it would have still been comparable to an attempted murder. He demanded the culprit to show themselves, but nobody would say anything. We sat there for a hour or two in silence. Eventually, the teacher gave up and let us go to our next classes because the bell rang already. So yeah, one of the 8th graders in my class attempted murderer. That was the first and scariest time I saw that teacher get mad before, and I would not want to see him like that again. Oh yeah, and I think some kids got expelled for drugs or something.

I'm the type of person who's really behind on the latest news. (School related.) And there was security guards walking everywhere around the school at the time. (For safety reasons) Anyways, it was a normal Tuesday morning the week before Thanksgiving. The announcements come on (the principal gets on a loudspeaker to talk about school events, sports, grad stuff, etc.) and says "It has come to my attention that illegal photos have been going around." You can already guess what illegal photos are. According to what the principal said, people told him that these illegal photos of students were going around social media.

Back in my high school, the very well respected physical education and health teacher who had been working there for decades got caught having recorded the girls changing in the locker rooms. Years of material were found at his house. Before he could be arrested or fired though, he self terminated by driving into one of the supports of an overhead pass. It sucked because his daughter was a year older than me and was chill. She even got me my first job.

My ex crush and ex friend (same person) brought a knife into school after I had dropped out, everybody likes to use the excuse that he has ADHD so it can be excused but I have ADHD so I call bullshit, I figured I should maybe give friendship with him another shot since we grew distant for the reason above and invited him to my birthday party, this part isn't illegal to law but it's illegal in my rule book, he slammed his hand down on my head when we got in the car to go home, not hard enough to hurt me but I have trauma with that sort of stuff because my mother used to drag me around by my hair and ended up shutting down for the car ride home, trying not to cry, he tried to drag out hanging out but I wasn't having it and snapped at him, had to wash my hair several time to get the feeling off my scalp He's officially unfriended, and I avoid anything to do with him, but it's not easy when your mother is doing favours for his stepdad

Not something that happened to me personally. But my mom was on a school bus her freshman year and she gave herself a belly button piercing with a pair of safety scissors. I still think she's crazy. Edit: and this is while the bus was on the move.

In Sixth Grade, we had a ginger floater teacher who absolutely did not deserve his job. This was in a small private school, so easy enough job and good money. He was an angel in his interview and a demon with us. For some reason, he particularly hated this one kid in my class. We will call this kid Jake. Me and Jake were friends, but didn’t really hang out. On our finals week, my class had finished our finals early and we’re waiting outside. We were being careful not to raise our voices when that teacher comes down the hallway. The teacher grabs Jake by the throat and slams him against the wall yelling “Be quiet!” A few seconds later, the principal came by after the teacher let go. To my understanding, that teacher still works there.

This one kid and myself included used to sell carts and batteries in the bathroom just to make some money. Our school searched our bags or used cheap metal detectors so you had to either hide it in a water bottle or ur shoe praying that the metal detector wouldn’t go off. A week before spring break, the dude raised his foot too high making the detector go off while I snuck mine through my mnm bag, long story short the kid got drug charges and I walked graduation 💀

Best thing is some teachers knew I had it on me but could never prove it because it was in my mnm bag and they couldn’t touch things that were considered “food” so they or the administration couldn’t suspend me

2 kids died in my middle school after being outed as LGBTQ+, 6 POC kids were severely injured. So, there were a group of seriously religious, racist, and (of course) homophobic kids at my school that wanted to, quote, "Rid heaven and the world of those who denied the Lord". Quote taken from one of the many notebooks they would all write in. They wrote names and/or descriptions of people who were of color, people who were LGBTQ+, etc. that they felt "denied the lord". They would also target people with different religious beliefs and atheists. They would hide these notebooks by making them look like normal class books, math books, dictionaries, wadded up pieces of paper, etc. There was a rumor that someone apparently got ahold of one of these books, but tossed it because there was glue all over it. I personally don't believe it, but who knows. A few quotes said books that my friend group could find include the following: _"Let the sacred gates of heaven be kept far from those with the devil's skin."_ _"May God not punish, but welcome us for continuing his work."_ _"Those who mutilate their bodies to be the unintended will burn for ruining God's creation."_ _"A man must not sleep with another man as he does with a woman."_ I was probably close to being on their list, as at the time I had met my soon-to-be girlfriend, and I wasn't subtle at all with my feelings. I am also non-binary, have a pretty androgynous or "masculine" way of dressing and acting, and am bisexual. Nobody knows how many kids were involved with this, but I speculate it was around 13 - 18. Lowest being 10, absolute highest being 25. We do know, however, that it wasn't just one grade, the group had at least 5 kids that were in 8th, and most of us think that the majority of the kids were from 7th, as that grade had the most racists/homophobic/etc. people. Anyways, this is why I'm an atheist, try have a good day.

I’m a very religious person and I still find this disgusting. The lord says to “love thy neighbor” this was not the case with them. The Bible also says the only person your allowed to judge is yourself not others. Judging others is Gods job. I’m sorry you had a horrible experience with those hateful men. Have a Blessed day. 😊

Shit everything we did at our school was illegal😂 I was almost caught with a whole vile of acid because I was hitting my vape and tried to hide it. I mean it was the end of the day, I took a piss hit my vapes a couple times and as soon as I went to walk out my disciplinary principal walked in and saw me blow out a cloud. To give you a perspective of how fucked I was, I’ve already been caught with 2 vapes that year and was on school probation, had about 6-7 xans in my sock, and had half a vial of acid in my pocket. I didn’t think about my vial in my Jean pocket when I put my vape in my shorts, so when he asked me to turn out my pockets my heart dropped so fast after I felt it. I grabbed the vape out my shorts so fast and gave it to him and went on home. Almost got expelled for the vape alone so that’s pretty funny😂
