I’m just now starting my locks. When you start to twist your hair does it matter witch way you twist it

Question if I have 3c hair would it be a good a idea too get two stand twist and the crochet it after a few weeks

I was consistently giving myself 2 strand twists and taking them out but this time I decided to leave em in and see what happens. I’ve always lowkey wanted dreads and my parents are just now letting me have freedom with my hair so I’m gonna let these lock up and see if I like it or not.

Good choice. Two strand twists create great locs in my opinion.Avoid gels/waxes at all costs. Just a sulfate free shampoo 3 times a month and leave them alone. In 3 months you should start seeing good results.Good luck

@@cashcxrtii-4083 No.wash in a circular motion. the same direction as the twist.They may loosen a bit but shouldn't come out. important you use a good shampoo without all the nasty stuff.

And you don't actually need to wash your hair with shampoo and water. You can go to the beauty supply and get what's called dry shampoo

That’s how mine are I don’t know how long your hair is but my hair was super fuzzy and it looked like I had a lot less dreads than I did because they were bigger at the tip and not locked but I took a crochet needle and used that to make it look lock in and look less fuzzy, just give it some time to mature

Massage and exfoliate the scalp but otherwise you can’t speed up the growth.

Wth can I do about the crazy itchiness, dry scalp and dandruff, I only get it when I braid my hair. I spray my hair daily with water and oil but it does nothin fam, and I have to remove my braids after 5 days max

Bro my hair gets so itchy around my hair line and sometimes in other place,and I start to get dandruff but sometimes I rub tea tree oil where it itches and it feels better sometimes for me.

Yea you can get dreads with any hair type but anything above a 3a will be the easiest I have a 3c and mine are working for me

i have really really fine curly hair, as a result my hair is really malleable. What can i do or what products should I use ? My hair is literally completely flat if I have a durag on so I end up having to drench my hair everyday

I have a fine texture too. I did instant locs, it's fuzzy fuzzy. When I wear a satin cap, it smashes my hair down, even if it's dry. I was going to ask for Gunther's suggestions for frizz

@@s.miller4510 also, I use shea moisture hold &shine mist , it has neem oil and silk proteins which can help control frizz and promotes hair growth ... and the hold is surprisingly strong for a mist
