Hi. Thank you for the explanation. I was there today and I passed the test, but it says they can’t make a decisions yet. I feel like she was very hard on my and twisted my words. At some point I just leave it alone. She was just in to my sex lifestyle. I’ve been a permanent resident over 5yrs. I got divorced with my husband before I applied for the citizenship application. When I keep telling her that I’m not with my ex husband at that time. She went and asked the same question again because I was seeing someone else. She messed up my whole day. I guess that’s their job. They have to do what they have to do.

I have a friend who had his interview and everything went well, according to what the officer said. She also said they did not need any more documents from them at the time. The following day he got updates that they had taken action on his case and when he checked he was scheduled for another interview. And hes confused because it was less than 24 hours since his first interview. What could this mean

It is possible they made a mistake. He needs to go to the interview no matter what. Take everything again and see what other documents they may want.

@AudraDoyleImmigrationLawyer thank you. He's definitely going to go if he gets the interview notice. He hasn't received one as yet, so right now he's just waiting. Also the I485 status changed to actively being reviewed after 6 days but the I130 is still saying interview scheduled, so now it's just waiting to see if the notice shows up.

I didn't realize that they would give you a response either way at the end of the interview. But knowing that they do approve cases at the end of the interview it worries me. I told my wife not to worry after the interview. I honestly wasn't worried until I realized that they can and have made decisions on the spot. Has anyone else had a similar experiences? If so should I be worried 😟

Hi Ms. Doyle, my 81 yr old mother the interviewer said she did not passed on civic question. 6 answered should be passed but she got only 5 correct answered but the other test she said are good. On her paper it says the decision can not be made yet. Do you think is there any possibility that they waived my mother's interview and grant her US CITIZENSHIP? She is 81 yrs old and it's really hard for her to memorized.

They should schedule her for another test. Good job on 5 right, hopefully she can pass the next time. My Octogenarian clients also have to take the test when required.

I am panicking I had my interview today and it was very weird He told me to have a seat right away without raising my hands and and say any oath!! Then he asked me all 10 questions eventhough I answered all of them right!!!! I was told I passed but he will need to review my file and mail me the decision!! I am freaked out. Nobody ever had that

What should I expect. At the end they told me if i support the constitution… and make me sign a pink slip at the end.

In my case no decision was made in the spot. And I summit all the docs that they requested. It’s been a year now. And no response yet.

Questions. I had my interview on March 23rd 2024. I passed the test but Decision cannot be made because I got my divorce in march 2023 with my second wife who petition my GC. I remarried in July 2023 and have kids with the same person December 2022. The officer said I should have wait 5 years to remarried because it’s too early and because my kids was born before I get my divorce because of that situation my n400 cannot be approved and need to be review. I can’t not understand why ? Really complicated interview.

That sounds accurate, they may send you an RFE to get the proof that you paid the ticket.

Hi Mrs Doyle, I had an interview on february 12, 2024. Everything went smooth. I passed the civic test, reading and writing. I had a child who had a visa and passed away before my entry to the united state. I didn't mentionned it while filling the application but I told the officer about that when he asked me question about my kids. I gave him the death certificate but I didn't bring the translation of it. He said he's going to send me I-14 so that I can upload the death certificate translation. He has never sent me the mail. what to do? Should I submit it like a unsolicited evidence or just wait?

I applied with married status and I even sent my husband's passport photo, today I passed the test, she told me I'm single and I said no, I'm married, and she told me I put single and I said no, the copies of my application show that I am married. Ours we got recommended for approval and officer said green card will be in mail 2-3 weeks I-130 approved except the I485 still on "interview scheduled " not updating. Is it still good sign? Officer was happy btw.

hello, we did an interview on the 20th of this month, my husband speaks French and was married before, however we did not bring the French copies off his divorce he did in his country we only took the English copy. The officer said she wanted the French copy and gave us her email for us to email to her. we did that and i asked for her to confirm she had received it. she replied 3 days after saying yes and she also needed the English too. I sent it and asked her to confirm she has received it. We have not heard back from her. now we do not know what is next if he's been approved or not. can you advise o this. Thank you

Our application just started processing after 2 years and they gave us a date to send a medical exam but we do not have everything ready in the time they are asking for will this automatically deny our application or will they still give us an interview?All our Paperwork went to the lady we paid to fill it out so we did not really understand the process but we are scrambling to get it all done. On the paper it states that they will make their decision based on what they have. Not sure what it all means. Any advice?

Hi Mrs.Doyle, I have a question, my mother was suppose to take the civics test today and she came to the immigration center, and we didn’t know that there was a citizenship interview that was apart of the civics test, my mother thought we had to take just the civics test in her native language and she was ready. Is the citizenship test only in English or can the questions be translated in the native language so she could answer in English? Last time my aunt took the citizenship and was in the interview process supposedly they took her immediately to the civics part and she passed, my mother is rescheduled for the rest and she got the form n652, so what do I do?

Hello. My fiancé in algeria had his interview. He did everything perfect. We had all documents. We both have never been in trouble with the law or married before. All they did after the interview was give him a paper and took his passport and say administrative processing and gave him a white slip with just administrative processing checked. We emailed for once a week for 2 weeks each. And after 2 weeks they sent me an email that it was being sent back for revocation to cis. I dont understand why. Its taking a big emotional toll on us both. Do you have any advice

I am so sorry to hear this. It is a huge problem. First, see if you can stop the Embassy from sending the case back by fighting hard to show why the application should be approved. Send a letter to the Embassy (e-mail) or call as a U.S. citizen. This is a huge problem and why I am hesitant to suggest F visas these days.

Welcome! You need to submit a service request if the case is past processing times. Next I recommend start writing letters to the Field Office on a regular basis and keep proof of delivery, and finally, contact your U.S. Senator or the USCIS Ombudsman.

Question. Second interview. Stokes interview. October 12th. Refused October 16th. In AP. Is this the final decision. Do you do free consulations? I should've hired you. My private attorney hasn't been much help. This is so stressful for me. I really need and want my husband so bad. Ive been fighting for this so so long. I got so much evidence. The evidence they asked for. I meet the income requirements. All required documents. Oh they are giving us such such a hard time. Trying to say my husbands decree is fake. He got it legally and the right way from the court. He tried to tell the officer that. He didn't want to hear it. The second officer seem nice. Gave us time to explain the real facts. Just a question he asked through me off. Just so stressed. I hope we get approval soon ans the refusal is just until a decision is made.

Oh my I am so sorry. Unfortunately if the officer says "refused" then you should expect the denial in the mail. You need to read the denial carefully and see if there is any room to make an argument for an appeal/motion to reconsider.

@@lynnbd182 For the state department, there is only approved or denied. Administrative Processing means denied for now, and they will revisit the decision. I would send a lot of good evidence and then ask what other info they need. AP can be for a national security issue, immigration violation check, background check, or an investigation about the relationship.

@@AudraDoyleImmigrationLawyerYou're so helpful. Here's the thing. I sent in great evidence. Pictures of my wedding. The witnesses there. Pictures with my step children. Affidavits from my son and my dad. He got one from his ex and brother. Like no fraud on our part at all. The CO was really picking with my husband. I use to work for the federal government. I kind of know how some employees behave. He tried to tell us, that my husband divorce decree is fake. No it is not. My husband is a business guy. He doesn't do any bad business nor do I . I work for the police department here in Indiana. Like no. It's so sad. I've been to Lagos six times all because I miss my husband and family so so bad. I provided proof of travel. My tourist and STR visa. My hubby and I even traveled to Abuja together. Showed proof of that. The embassy did say administrative processing is complete and still reviewing the case. Contacted with next steps. Does that still sound like a denial? I am going to fight them because this is not right. It is more likely than true of a bonafide marriage. So much evidence. Plus, they have to provide the evidence they used in their investigation. Also, they can't guess or speculate and use any prejudice. It has to be beyond a reasonable doubt that we committed fraud. There's absolutely no way they can prove that.
