Seeing the instruments response to blockage was extremely helpful vs reading the books.. Thank you Jason for dedicating your time to teaching us to be better and safer pilots
11 for 11. It’s what I look forward to the most each day on KZread.
Great explanation and I love how you teach to understand the underlying concepts, not just teach to pass a test. I doubt I will get a question wrong on the pitot static system now after your lesson! Thanks!
11 for 11 and enjoying every day. Thanks, Jason and everyone else!
Thankyou again Jason. I found this very helpful!
Great demonstration!!
Great video! 11/11 so far. Thank you for making these videos Jason!
Always great refresher and visual understanding...
I'm 11/11 starting maneuver training this week. The MzeroA videos on turns on a point, S turns and, rectangular patters are great. Watching those and getting prepared to fly. Keep the blue side up.
I love this demo! Very easy to understand the different scenarios.
Jason has the BEST Instrument test prep. TOTALLY helped me pass my check ride.
love these, thanks for all your videos and your safer pilot challenge, aviation community on youtube really helps to be a safer, smarter and better pilot
Thanks for refreshing my knowledge 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks for the visualization of the P/S system and what happens with failures. Great work!
11 for 11...Great explanation Jason. Thank you!
Great video to refresh my memory!! Keep up the excellent work.
Graphics help so much to understand these concepts! Great video.
Captain Jason you're awesome!
Yes i appreciate just seeing the instruments blockage was more helpful than reading about and trying to imagine it.
Awesome Animations.. Thanks MZEROA
Always learn something from you videos. Keep up the safer pilot challenge series going on. Everyday you learn something new from this channel. Love it. Thank you.
Thank you Jason! Most of us are visual learner ...keep it up! It is easy to visualize it than reading it on the book. I am a private pilot and I keep coming back to your videos to maintain my knowledge and not get rusty!
11 for 11, always a good refresher
This was valuable info! I’m flying tomorrow and it’s 30 degrease and below. 14 degrees today. Thank you Jason! I love watching all your videos I always learn something new!
This was incredible!
Always great to review systems and how they work!!

More to come! Thanks for watching!
I love it very good class (from a Brazilian pilot)
Great review.
Getting ready to start ground school for private pilot license in a couple weeks. Sure wish I had you as an instructor, thank you for the videos, I’m learning a lot before ever getting inside the aircraft. God bless
11/11 I'm preparing for my private pilot written test, I really enjoy and learn with your videos.
Thanks for your videos. Very helpful! I am 11 for 11
You bet! 11 for 11! Thank you for creating and share such great content!!
11-4-11 thanks for the refresher, good demo that makes it easy to understand.
Awesome video, as usual, Jason! It’s great to see what happens with different points of failure, but how do you determine your airspeed if your pitot tube is clogged?
Great and informative video as always.
11/11. Looking to purchase my 1st plane this coming weekend!! These videos put it all into perspective!! Nate
Never really thought of the airspeed indicator as a altimeter but makes sense I was always taught PUDSUC pitoe blockage underreads on descent, static blockage underreads on climb in terms of the airspeed indicator.
Great Video Jason! I'm a loyal follower and your videos have made me a better student pilot. 70 hours logged and close to receiving my private pilot license. It's the Pacific NW so the weather here isn't ideal for scheduling flights.
11 for 11. Really enjoying and learning from SPC and Online Ground School. Just finished Emergencies lesson last night.
Great simulation!!!!
You are the best. I would like to suggest a theme for future videos. About fronts and air masses. It’s tricky
11 for 11. Another great topic
Great videos! 11/11 so far.
Thanks.
very nice
11/11 headed to 31/31. Great video,
11 for 11. LOVE the new resource simulator
11 4 11 hello Jason, as always great real world flying tips and refreshers I have an older Cherokee does not have alternate static port so therefore the glass will be coming out of my VSI ; although I am fortunate to fly with ForeFlight on my mini iPad with synthetic vision along with a transponder that reports pressure altitude. And yes like you stated, a few extra independent systems are always helpful. If not then a good understanding of the pitot static system is always welcomed.
thank you

Of course!
11/11 Thanks Jason!
Sick!!!
Fab as always 11/11.
11 for 11 will be joining soon
11 for 11, learned a lot.
It was great to see a dynamic presentation of the static system Malfunctions. just seeing it in a book or paper, just didn't get it.
I definitely learned something here today. 11/11
I've learned when both holes clogged on the pitot tube are clogged acts like an altimeter. 11 for 11
I’m 11 for 11. Thanks.
11/11, Thank you!
Great job, 11:11
Hey Jason, I am 11 for 11! 😊
11 of 11!
Why aren’t the backups for pitot in GA?
We have alternate static source, is there a reason why we don't have backup pitot tubes?
So if everything is clogged, break the glass of the vertical speed indicator gauge to let air enter the port for the altimeter ? mmh didnt think of it
11 out of 11!
At the moment ram and drain is plugged, airspeed will freeze. But increase as altitude increases and decrease as altitude decreases. Correct?
🙋🏽♂ i learned something
The Pitot Static simulator alone is worth it
Candy cane ? In Europe, its called barber pole....
If the air RAM hole & drain hole is clogged, and these 3 instruments (ASI, VSI & Altimeter) are reading incorrect info., how do you reverse that in mid flight (...& your panel is a std 6 pack & not glass)? Jason mentioned back ups but that was it. Can you be more specific? Thanks 11/11
11 of 11
Any way to memorize this for my upcoming exam?
What happens if the drain hole is clogged on the pitot but the static and pitot front is not clogged.
11/11!
I AM 11 of 11!.!.!❤️❤️😁
Great video, but I would like to know the story of the Spanish license plate behind you :). Cheers
11! How to test pitot on ground?
I don’t fly a g1000 and they do apply to me
11-11
Bruh, sounds like Joel Olstein. 😄👍🏿
11/11
11 for 11🙋🏻
11 for 11
Prior to watching let me see if I remember Static clogged- VSI & Altimeter goto 0 PITO ram air blocked -airspeed 0 Ram air & drain - airspeed registers as an Altimeter Let's see what I got right
Does this mean you need more than 1 pitot tube ? The backup instruments need a reading from another source ... no? 🧐
so break my g1000 if i get icing, got it.
11 for 11 and going for 12
