Hey kevin! Im back ... was 3 months sober and thought I had it licked then made the mistake of stop watching your videos and ended up relapsing. My hangovers have become crippling to the point I can't even get off the couch the next day so after 27 years of drinking pretty much everyday I think it's time for me to wake the hell up and try this again. I want to thank you for making these videos it's a constant reminder of the direction I need to be going in and what that evil shit does to you. Out of all the drugs I think alcohol is the most deceitful it pretends to be your friend for many years and by time you realize it's not it's already got a hold of you... Damn that shit!

river rat74 For several months now I go about two weeks sober and then get right back into it..yesterday I bought an 18pk of cheap beer which is now two dollars more since the last time I got some..12 dollars wasted..most times I drink half which makes me feel bad enough but last night I drank 13..and feeling sick and stupid this morning..today is garbage pickup and in my garbage can by the road is the other 5 beers, still unopened and cold..I hope the garbage truck gets here soon because there is a real possibility that I will gp out there and retrieve those bottles.there have been times that I was so disgusted with myself that when I awoke with a hangover, I would open up any remaining beers and pour them down the sink, and sometimes almost full bottles of rum, vodka, whiskey would be dumped out. ..I always think that I will never drink again, but later the same day something within me begins to change and then I become a drinker all over again..I feel like I have a curse like the old werewolf movies I grew up watching..Lon Chaney Jr. was the actor I remember ..when it was a full moon he would turn into the wolfman..he didn't want to, but he did..if that garbage man don't show up soon, I'm going to get those beers and also buy another 18pk because 5 beers is never enough.and even if there is no full moon tonight, I will be turning into the Beerwolf again..I don't want to, but I will..how to break the curse?

Don Saxon buddy I was the exact same way. I'm 44 years old now and I'm just ready for a change in my life, I have two grand babies now I have to be around for plus I'm tired of spending my life hungover and in a fog all the time. I know how that 2-week Mark is that's about how long I would make it before I gave in and bought some beer. Try not to get discouraged quitting takes practice I've quit a thousand times and each time I'm more determined it's different this time every time I look at beer and it just makes me sick because I know if I drink it I'm going to have hell to pay come tomorrow I'm just done with it... I'm burnout, and I think that's where you have to get yourself mentally convince yourself that you're done with it and you're sick of it. Best of luck to you my friend.

river rat74 Yes just thinking of the smell of beer is making me sick..I did notice something different yesterday as I drank the first beer, and it didnt taste good to me and that feeling of euphoria didn't happen..it was just a dreary feeling but that caused me to drink faster..I sat down with a full beer and started looking at old movie clips and within a few minutes I puked up the beer to take a sip but the bottle was empty..I looked at the table thinking that I grabbed the wrong bottle, and it even puzzled me that I drank the entire beer in just a couple of minutes..and so I got another and another..I fell asleep sitting in my chair on the porch with my head tilted back..with several fat Florida mosquitoes getting drunk on my toxic blood...I've come to realize that I'm not as smart as I thought I was..I am showing all the signs of being an idiot..and I just laugh at what I wrote..but it's not funny...thanks for the reply and I think I will focus on what we talked about and not let it leave my mind..I just downloaded Kevin's free book and gonna take his offer for the 7 day course..its only a dollar and that seems like a better deal than the thousands I've spent on venom..with what I wasted in a year, I could have already put a lift and 37 inch tires on my suburban..now that just made me mad

Kevin..thank you again for another great video. I have decided to stop drinking two days ago. I couldn't stand looking In the mirror and noticing my wine belly. No matter how hard I worked out it was always there. Yuk. I'm even losing the taste for it. I am starting to feel better and have more energy. Thanks for really caring and bless you Kevin. I will keep watching. Onward and upward! M

Its so difficult with my circumstances. I am chronically ill and so that I dont get fully addicted to the opiate pain killers, I use alcohol as a pain killer and it also helps the severe fatigue, and the other part of the week I use painkillers. Ive given up smokimg and drinking before, but that was when I could go cycling, horseriding, walking, swimming, spending all day in the garden, reading, writing, playing classical guitar, being in a band, teaching for work, painting, diy etc etc. Now I can do none of those things to help distract. So I'm generally at home all day, ill, bored out of my brains as I cannot engage in any hobby. Talking fatigues me, reading or following a drama or documentary. I make no excuses, these are facts. That said, I've been managing not to drink 4 days of every week, bit by bit. Prayer is what has helped me. On the other days I have limits and time frames. I was very bored, but I've found a subject area that I don't know much about and just watched documentaries and lectures all day. I cant always follow them, but I believe its started to make me interested in things again. Its been hard physically with the increased fatigue and banging headaches and no relief of pain, but I sleep much better on the days I don't drink. All in all then, despite having little to distract me, I feel that I'm on a better path now. Thanks for all the info and encouragement,

Kevin. Started watching your videos about a year and a half ago. I stopped drinking Jan 20th last year. Inspired by Donald Trump and his story about his brother who died from drinking. Also the fact he teached his kids not to drink. So I quit on the day he became president. Easy date to remember. Still not drinking over a year and half. I set a goal of 3 yrs no drinking. Let's see what happens when I complete my goal. BTW I am 50 yrs old.Drank on and off for 30yrs.

Hi Kevin! My BF favorite drink is Vodka. And he can consume by himself the 750ml in one sitting. He do that if he doesn't have work the following day. And I witnessed his transitions, I would say his a different person, and say foul hurting words to me. And the following day, he can't remember anything. He ask me, I'd did something wrong to me. And He can't remember anything . His been drinking for almost 25 years. His routine, he take 1-2 shot a day before going to bed, he said for him to relax and sleep well. I'm worried coz I think it's not okay anymore because his already 50 years old. I want him to stop, but how will hide him?

The prohibition of alcohol in Islam is derived from the following verse of the Glorious Qur’an: “O ye who believe! Intoxicants and Gambling, (Dedication of) stones, And (divination by) arrows, Are an Abomination - Of Satan’s handiwork; Eschew such (abomination), That ye may prosper.” [Al-Qur’an 5:90]
