Any useful item Doors doesn’t seem to work properly in Rooms: the candle won’t tell you when an entity is nearby (in fact, when you hold it, it says “the candle seems lighter than usual”, probably stating that the candle has become a normal candle), the crucifix won’t make an entity dissappear (in fact, when you hold it, it says “the crucifix seems normal”, stating that it isn’t an exorcising crucifix) and the electric torch looses energy way slower… For some reason…

Rooms is a alternate universe where the "Guiding Light" has no reach to converse nor be able to manipulate items when the target is outside it's reach such as Crucifix and Candle (Crucifix emblem requires Guiding Light for cast, as the Candle goes out thanks to Guiding Light which acts as a warning to the player that a foe is approaching), hence another entity that acts as the "Guiding Light" in the "Rooms" universe, just less helpful.

This theory makes complete sense. Guiding light’s most powerful influence is most likely within the crucifix, but something not within it’s reach is impossible to control. The alternative entity is probably much less power, which makes sense considering he doesn’t know the own entities within its world

heres a theory on why it doesnt work (this is the same as the candle) they dont work because they are powered by the guiding light. (thats why the crucifix glows blue and the blue sparkles on the candle) since only you went through the door to rooms they dont work. its also probably locked to stop them from crossing paths. thats probably how a-60 appeared (not talking about gameplay wise) and it was locked to keep them from crossing paths again. @josuedelacruz6055 for the candle, its flame will diminish in a dark room hinting that an entity will spawn in (Seek or Ambush. Idk if Ambush will spawn as well though it was just only Seek). The best place to use the candle is through doors 90-99.

The second you saw the crucifix say its lighter than usual, that means it fails The reason behind this is because we aren't in the Hotel. What do I mean by that? Well its in a different universe at which consists of one of the most important factors to the success of the Crucifix saving your sorry a-- against the random Ambush or Stalling out Seek if you that trash. That being "Guiding Light" who is literally the one protecting you and making the crucifix actually effective in this game. They seem to be weaker than Seek and Figure, unable to truly put them down though (Though it makes sense for Seek since they literally are EVERYWHERE, the Humanoid body is just a "Part" of the true seek). Now since Guiding Light isn't here, you essentially have 0 protection against any of these monsters.

Well, the tools that involve Guiding Light are now controlled by Curious Light (what the wiki calls the orange light) as shown by the candle now having a more orange glow to it. Maybe its because they aren't use to seeing stuff like Vitamins and Candles, because they reside in a office space, where the only tools they've seen are Flashlights and Gummy Flashlights. Maybe down the line, we could get GL and CL to cross paths, and show CL how to use stuff like the Crucifix and Candle to aid us.

At the start of you look At the bottom it says. “It’s lighter then normal.” so it might mean that the chains itself is Lighter. So possibly a-60 Went so fast that the chains got ripped off And let him go forward. As well with that The guiding light probably doesn’t have The amount of time to set The chains. Which probably is the reason why it doesn’t work.

That doesnt make sense, though. Because A-90, A-124, or A-200 arent affected by the crucifix either. So maybe the crucifix feeling lighter is because guiding light is no longer there to help. That yellow text isnt guding light at all. Guiding light is blue, not yellow. Also, if we take into account the original rooms, there is no guiding light, you become a ghost when you die.

My theory: the rooms universe is semi connected to doors bc you can carry doors items over but the rooms universe counts them as foreign items so they are disabled

Rooms in doors is based off the game "Rooms" which was made a while ago, much before doors release which was probably the main inspiration for doors. So I assume they wanted to make it similar so they disabled the items that aren't in the game

Theory: the hotel and the office building are interconnected to eachother. But, it seems like the guardian angel of the hotel (the statue that is seen in the garden) locked away the rooms universe behind the locked gates and also casted a spell to remove any of guiding light's magic inside the universe if the gates were ever opened. The curious light seems to be able to watch us while in the hotel, but can't directly interfere with the doors universe, hence not beying able to place lights like the guiding light can.

I think that's the wrong case, you see, when you go into rooms with your crucifix and equip it, it says your crucifix is lighter than normal, meaning it has lost it's positive energy and is just a piece of woodwork, that's probably why it doesn't work on entities such as A-60, A-90, and A-120.

well, that answers my friend's question of if you can crucify a-60.

By the way for all you dumb people THIS IS REAL, in fact its a badge, and a secret a tribute to the game that inspired doors. "Rooms" It came way before doors I believe. And this secret is found on door 60 and its 100% guaranteed to be there at door 60. Then you need to activate a lever in door 61, then go back make sure you have 2 lockpicks and a skeleton key, and then unlock it. After entering there will be a random generated exit at A-200 then a guaranteed exit at door A-1000 with a surprise I wont spoil it but its op.

Oh, the crucifix and the candle don't work in the Rooms. Because, if I am not mistaken, those items work thanks to Guiding Light (or Blue Light). When you use the Crucifix, it stops the monster with a blue light and when the candle goes out, it leaves blue sparkles behind. (Those are to explain that they ARE working thanks to the Light). When you enter the Rooms, you can notice that when you die in it, there's not a Blue background but a Yellow one, which means it's not Guiding Light, but is named "Curious Light" (by the fandom I think?) Which means, that Guiding Light does not appear in the Rooms, because you completely switch universe when you enter there. (I don't really know anything about the lore.) If Guiding Light isn't there, then the candle and the Crucifix won't work. And I think this comment was pretty useless but I like to write :]

Ik this is far out of reach but My theory is that every entity is some sort of bacteria or virus attacking (the Hotel) for it has many rooms (many organs in a human body) where specific viruses, bacteria, and diseases form (aka the ENTITIES) this is why some entities look similar and have that black goo.
