The Rear Seat does have a manual override. It is a little more difficult. Remove the rubber pad in the door pocket, remove the little square tab and pull the strap...

@@Patrick.P As far as I know, it is done that was intentionally due to the fact that it overrides the Childs Safety lock system. You would not want a child to be able to release the handle and fall out... All US cars have child safety lock and if it is set there is no way to open a rear door from the inside on any car sold in American. To my knowledge, Tesla is the only company that has a door letting you override the Child Safety Lock....

There are hidden manual overrides in the back door pockets. You have to remove the rubber mat and a little lid under witch there is a handle.

They can't put a manual release in the back because kids might try to escape (when not kidnapped) and it would be very dangerous. In fact, on most cars, there's a feature where you could block the back passengers from opening the doors.

The manual door release for the rear door is in the door pocket under the mat. There is a small cover on top of it.

In the rear seats there is a Manuel door release. In the rear seat door holders, if you take out the covers, you will see a red thing. If you pull on that red thing, you will see a white string and when you pull on it, it opens the door

Tesla have just upgraded the model 3! Now has a decent range boost, chrome delete, power trunk/boot, new steering wheel (possibly heated), new centre console and a heat pump so longer range in cold weather!

There is a back door release. "To open the rear doors, fold back the edge of the carpet below the rear seats to expose the mechanical release cable, and pull it toward the center of the vehicle."
