Yeah man, they're ALL studs. The worst player on the team was probably still one of the best players in his county in HS.

Watch ole miss baseball’s “The season”. It’s a great series.
1:09 you have no idea how satisfied I am that the cage didn’t knock over the bottles.
I remember watching. This dude when I was like 9 years old when he was in high school, now he is a D1 athletes. At just shows hard work and dedication pays off

I’ve been a big fan of Maryland athletics since elementary school, and still on it in high school. It’s so cool to see a channel like this that shows the insides of a program that I’ve been following for so long. Keep up the content
It’s funny how people think baseball takes no skill/it’s boring, they clearly haven’t played it if they think either of those

Playing is very fun, but watching only gets fun if it’s a close game, like the bottom of the 9th situations, or if it is a postseason game. I’m 14 and am hoping to eventually at least play for a college, if not go farther.
@stevenbolewicki2289

Not saying it doesn’t take any skill, but practice looks like a lot of standing around and doing an easy task like fielding a ground ball and waiting for your next one. Even hitting, they hit a few, then 10 mins later they are sitting waiting around for their next round of hitting. Not like they go in there and literally hit 2 hours straight.

It's boring to watch and that's why it's a dying sport.
I pitched on this field when I was 14 years old starting in my very first legion game. 1st time pitching on a major league mound, first time pitching with no back stop, under the lights playing with older kids. Those were the days.
Hey I’m loving these vids. As a former D1 player in the Northeast this brings back TONS of memories. Keep it up with this kind of content 👍🏻

I love baseball so much and want to play in college so its cool to see what goes on at college practice
Ahhh practice foot strikes on hard 90s... man do I not miss college ball 😂
That drill at 3:50...so weird-never seen that before. I don’t know if I’m more impressed with the catcher or the guy hitting the line drives with machine precision

I’m a baseball player myself, baseball is not an easy sport you need to be mentally smart & have good decision making & anticipate each play.
Baseball training is intense👏🏼 LOVE this sport
With baseball there is several key components required to be a great player you can't just say your good it takes hard work and a good attitude.
As a former baseball player, even played intramural baseball during college and we used full/mlb size field and umpires, it stinks to see a lot of colleges going to turf, it’s gotta stink the most for the players. Even though our university didn’t have any intercollegiate sports of any kind, it was nice to play on real grass and dirt, no turf at all. The mlb size field is there because the university used to play intercollegiate, and for a lot of other sports too.
Nice video.. I remember playing at college park against Mt. St. Mary's (for some reason).. Dope field and bullpen. Terps were ACC back then
Good vid, I’ll try to get to more of your home games this year
I know that sports exercises are hard, but they are important. When doing sports, they have a huge risk of getting hurt. Doing these drills, it does not take away the risk, but it reduces it.
Thank you for showing
Damn I thought I was good😂 it’s ok I’m about to grind my ass off
As someone that goes to umd, tell these dudes to win a natty champ plz. Need a reason to party 🥺
4:30 - (imagine this scenario) Texas Rangers, at home and winning, 8-1 in the top of the 9th, 3-2 count on the batter, 2 outs, no runners on base and the batter hits a solid and sharply hit, one-hop line drive towards the shortstop… now, could you imagine someone like Corey Seager fielding a ground ball and then high stepping it, like they are doing in this drill, into a throw to first to finish out the game!?!?!? That would be absolutely insane… and COOL AS A MOFO!!!
Great vid plz post more of these.
gotta make more of these this year

The catcher in the middle is trying to catch the ball and put down a tag while the other two catchers try to distract him. It is designed to help them on plays at the plate.

A few things...that shot of the turf infield made my turf toe hurt! My second thought was no long toss at the beginning? Work that into your routine to avoid those elbow and shoulder issues. Everyone assumes my arm issues were from college but it came after in beer league softball from not warming up or stretching properly. Great video really took me back.

Love this game so much! With that said, I am a firm believer that at this level these kids should be playing with wood. There's an art to using a wood bat an the transition should start here. Just my humble opinion.

Do they do any conditioning or anything after practice? If not how do they keep their bodies healthy and in shape?
My only question is how much time do these guys spend outside if practice working in their game?
Hitting a baseball has literally been proven to be the hardest thing in sports
chavis oh i know him he went to calvert hall and ive known him before that too
Curious that I see beautiful new Rawlings gloves instead of Under Armour. D-1 places have interesting politics of sponsorship. A family member of mine played at a D-1 spot with TPX sponsorship and had to black out logos on certain gear. That said I would love to be at one of these places on swag day when a new shipment of gear shows up.

It definitely gets complicated. Maryland had a deal with Rawlings for bats and gloves before under armour started making gloves, so they use Rawlings

D1 cats are different
What happened to real a infield? The ground is too perfect and predictable. I feel it would hurt this team when they play on clay that can get beat up and make the balls direction and spin change
Do they prefer Heart of the hide or pro preferred?

It varies player by player. Probably more pro preferred
Are you on the team?
Can you show us all the gear you get
3 years ago this was a dream of mine, it didn't come true but that's okay
What do catchers do?
Any advice for going D1? I play 7a freshman baseball, I’m a catcher, 2B, and OF. This practice seemed structured very similar to my high school practices. I really wanna play for UAB or another D1 school and further my baseball career.

NavalSEALSniper & Sports best advice is to go JuCo. I know there is little appeal to going to community college and playing baseball, but that is where you can turn a mid level baseball player into a D1 athlete. Going to school in the PNW and playing in the NWACs was the best decision I could have made for myself as a baseball player. Not only are you going up against rosters which are filled with D1 and even pro level talent and arms, but there are a few JuCo teams out there that could beat a fair amount of power 5 schools.
Quick question. How long have you been playing baseball?
