@@haro82 Elvis did tell his father that his career wasn't conducive to being married. Vernon said he asked Elvis if he was going to marry Ginger and Elvis said..."only God knows". One of the MM said he told him "No". Mary Jenks says he told her if he married anyone it would be Priscilla because of Lisa. What I think is.... Elvis told everyone something different because of the gossip and they ended up knowing nothing for sure. At the CBS Special he introduced Ginger as his girlfriend not his fiance'. It's always up for grabs as to what he would really do. All the girls got rings. Ginger was young and maybe she didn't understand how many women he had been with and for how long. He seems to have made all the women feel special. The jeweler said he ended up taking the stone from his TCB ring because he wanted it in a hurry, and he was going to replace it later. Elvis always had other women between relationships. Everyone of them thought they were the one. He made people feel like that.

I can’t imagine the loss she suffered the morning she found him and he was gone. I’m thankful that she speaks for him and sets the stories straight. Unfortunately, people love to create and add their opinions to rumors after a person is gone and can’t defend themselves. I wish it would have worked out for them. That story of Lisa saying she was going to call Ginger mommy in front of her own mom was kind of funny, but shows the struggle and disconnect Lisa had early on with her mother. You mean Lisa's nanny? Which hideous mother dismisses her daughter's beloved nanny out of jealousy? Priscilla rather spent time with her many lovers than with Lisa Marie but didn't want Lisa Marie to get attached to anybody else. Elvis was worried about the way Priscilla treated Lisa Marie and told Geller he wanted to file for custody of Lisa Marie after marrying Ginger. Lisa Marie told both Linda and Ginger she thought her mother didn't like her very much. Lisa was right! Lisa Marie must have been very lonely after Elvis' death. She was cut off from her father's family and women like Linda and Ginger which made her totally dependent on her narcissistic mother. Lisa Marie was constantly telling Priscilla how beautiful she looked. She apparently flattered Priscilla in an attempt to please her cold-hearted 'mommy'. Really sad. Joe Esposito said that he never saw Lisa Marie laugh in the years after her father's death.

Oh Jordan!!! This one was it for me!! The interview I have literally waited for since I was 12. The reason Ginger was dismissed was because of one person and we all know who that person is. Ginger got it so right that they (pb) refused to allow room for another woman in Elvis’s life. So true. Ginger has always handled everything with so much class. She’s so humble and respectful. She had every right to step up and be noticed but chose the route that left her head and shoulders above the grifters we still see today. She was so kind respectful and subtle today and I respect her so much for that. I’ve spent so many years telling people who Ginger Alden is and every time anyone asked who did my makeup I’d tell them Ginger was my inspiration. I don’t believe in having idols but she was the closest thing I have ever experienced to that. I still can remember, I took one look at her engagement pictures and I thought she was the most beautiful woman on the face of the Earth and I spent years trying to copy and perfect the look she had in those legendary pictures. She has always been someone I tried to emulate. I truly adore her. Thank you Jordan! Thank you, thank you!! You will never know how much this interview means to me!! It’s like a dream come true! Yes I wished Elvis and Ginger would have had more time . Especially to have left them to get married if for nothing else to shut Priscilla up about her saying Elvis didn't want to marry Ginger. That Elvis still loved her only . Elvis needed a certain diamond to put into Ginger's engagement ring. They couldn't find one so Elvis took his own diamond out of his own ring . He wouldn't have and didn't do it for any of the other love interests. Ginger never knew Elvis did that until after his death months later . It's an eleven karet diamond.

@@suefenner9217 Priscilla lied and so did her parents. Paul en Ann Beaulieu-Iverson didn't have to pimp Priscilla out. She did so herself by having sexual intercourse with Currie Grant, Elvis' army buddy, in exchange for introducing her to Elvis Presley, whose fame was the dream of Ann Iverson and whose money was the dream of Paul Beaulieu. Priscilla was expected to fulfill their dreams of fame and fortune. Priscilla was named after a moviestar Ann admired and both Ann and Paul were very proud of their cute daughter, who was always dressed as a little princess. Priscilla later sued Currie Grant for publicly talking about their deal from 1960. If parents would NEVER allowed their 14 year old to attend adult parties with GROWN military men, there would have NEVER been a relationship. Priscilla probably would have had a happier life with less $ and Elvis probably would have had more peace. This is not a love story. Drug addicted Elvis unhappily married, produced a child, had his wealth diminish, his daughter and grandson became drug addicts, and both are dead suicide or sad lifestyle choices. At his age at the time, he already knew who would be right for him. I read that he changed his mind about bringing Cilla to the US, because he got involved with Ann Margaret, but that Cilla's father made him promise to marry his daughter. I don't know how much of that is true. He was young. Cilla was a child. But Ginger was so right for him. I am happy Ginger proved what I say about their short relationship was right, which is...Elvis finally fell in love. It makes me happy that he found a little bit of joy and happiness before he went to be with the Lord. Yes! He is with the Lord.

Ginger is really genuine and she seems like the kind of woman who stood up for herself, one of my favorite stories in her book is when she refused to get him another juice in order to help him with his weight and he got so mad and shot a gun at the headboard or something like that and she and her sister told him he couldn’t do that and she almost left him and also she still stood close to her family and didn’t seem to “lose herself.” She was a force even at that young age, much respect to Ginger ❤️ let’s also be honest that in those days southern men treated women differently and when they didn’t see ginger grovel they assumed she was somehow less then nurturing but ultimately he loved her and that’s enough for me. I could only imagine how beautiful their wedding and their children would have been. Great interview, thank you for bringing this to us!! It is truly a piece of Elvis history! He asked about Ginger, and Elvis pretty much said he wasn't going to marry her. But like Billy said he didn't know what he told Ginger. This conversation took place hours before he died. He was mad at Ginger because she decided to not go on your with him,and according to Joe Esposito, wanted Joe to call a girl he knew to go on Tour. So he could've said that to Billy because he was mad at her. We all know Elvis was pretty fical when it came to the women in his life. But I don't believe Elvis was going to marry again. Ginger Alden wrote an honest book about her time with Elvis. I am sure Elvis was very happy with her. She is not only very beautiful but also very loving and sensible. According to her book she never became angry only sad or afraid when Elvis had one of his outbursts. That must have calmed Elvis. I think Elvid very much wanted more children, especially a son. Ginger undoubtedly was a very good mother for her son and would have been for Elvis' children. Anita Wood and Elvis planned to name their son Elvis jr. It's a pity Anita Wood left Elvis in 1962 because of calculating Priscilla and her loveletters. Anita was a very good singer and an actress but wanted nothing more than a marriage and children. Anita Wood is critical about the reasons Priscilla gives for her divorce from Elvis which robbed him from his dearly beloved daughter Lisa Marie. Anita Wood would never have divorced Elvis Presley and Elvis probably realised that and was sorry that he hadnot married Anita instead of Priscilla. Anita Wood loved Elvis and not his fame and money like Priscilla Beaulieu does and did. Anita also would have been a much better mother than Priscilla has been to Elvis' child. Gladys Presley loved Anita Wood very much and wanted her to become Elvis' wife and the mother of her grandchildren. It is such a pity that golddigger Priscilla ruined the relationship between Elvis and Anita Wood.

I agree. Anyone but Pricilla. She STILL is trying to hold on to the Elvis legacy. He needed a real woman, not a child. I however feel like that all the women in his life never protected him. None of them were strong enough to stand up to him or his guys and say no… enough is enough… he has to go to hospital. Just looking at him and being with him if they really loved him, the man and not the meal ticket then he could have gotten the care he should have gotten. It is so sad. I wish there had been a real woman in his life to save him. He had so many dreams that the greedy vipers in his life stole. God Bless him. He is with his Lord now though. GOD was Elvis’s best friend besides Jerry Geller who is awesome too. All these women were not real women because they were just in love with the looks fame and fortune and NOT the TRUE MAN. SO SO SAD. GOD BLESS DEAR ELVIS.

You really expressed the truth. Thank you! It has genuinely hurt many of us who genuinely loved Lisa as the wonderful person she was. We truly resent the way Priscilla treated Lisa most of her life and tried to dominate her. Thank God Lisa finally got out of awful Scientology cult Priscilla put her in even at 9 or 20 years old and boarding school. It broke our hearts when Lisa passed away so young with young twins she had wanted to raise herself. Priscilla befriended Lisa's ex Michael Lockwood and caused Lisa a lot of problems in her divorce that Lisa did not need to have. Many of us were broken hearted over Lisa and her daughter's depression and pain over the loss of her only son Ben which most people could never fully get over. Lisa would have been able most likely to have raised her twin daughters had not Priscilla interfered. It is a sad thing when a daughter is treated ( exploited and used) the way Lisa was. At least Lisa got out of that Scientology cult that Priscilla put her in at such a young age and had painfully stopped talking to Priscilla except for public (appearances) after finding out how Priscilla had exploited her. Lisa was going through a lot of personal pain when she passed away. Many of us are grieving over that and her untimely passing. May God watch over her children and heal and guide them. Lisa was very strong to break away from Priscilla. . Lisa was an amazing person and mother. . May she truly RIP now.

@@susanreeves4062 You are so right! Personally I think Michael Lockwood and Priscilla Beaulieu directly caused Lisa Marie's early death. I think Lisa Marie became overweight due to the legal and financial stress Michael and Priscilla put her through. That led to her bariatric surgery which caused Lisa Marie's untimely death. Priscilla Beaulieu did, together with the West- cousins, the same to Elvis Presley, who also became overweight due to the financial and personal stress they put Elvis through. Elvis, Lisa Marie and Benjamin are all victims of narcissist Priscilla, who is a very poisonous snake!

Ginger reminds me of “home.” I can see why Elvis would love her. I am of the age that I read the tabloids and had no idea what the truth really was. But, I know he had good taste. Thank you Ginger for telling your story.

What an AWESOME interview! Thank you both! The best info comes straight from the horses mouth & you can just hear in Gingers voice how much she loved him & vice-versa! I was only 7 when Elvis died..I cried for weeks..he was my 1st love. While the family was doing cook outs in the back yard, I was inside glued to the TV every Sunday watching Elivs movies! I use to record his concerts on a tape player..anyone remember having to press record & play button at the same time..lol? I threw a fit watching his funeral & sat at the dining room table writing all the words to his songs in a notebook. As an adult looking back at some of the interviews with that Memphis Mafia..I can't believe some of the things that they actually said out loud...it's clear as day now...I'll just leave that there..I wasn't there so of course I don't know what happened for sure with those guys..but by listening to their interviews..I can only imagine...
