That shirt deserves a big thumbs up 👍
Absolutely love this style of video tying all the scouts together with the actual hunts. I’ve always loved the way you break down hunts especially when you use the sketches to show the set up on your kills. Great stuff Dan 👍🏻
Hunting videos the way I like them! All Dan, all the time! The man, the myth, the legend.

@maiyiaxiong4577 what does sus mean? Is that some kind of millennial pride talk? Or maybe you're a saddle hunter? Its nice to listen to someone with the experience and knowledge, rather than a bunch of wanna be u tube stars. Especially the ones shooting small bucks! I fast forward through just about everyone, except the big buck serial killer.

Good luck Travis!
Only intended to watch about 10/15 mins of the video because that's all the time I had.... Watched the whole thing, lol! Really really enjoyed this. Good luck this season
The best part is listening to how excited you got finding those head and shoulders high rubs. I'm really rooting for you to get a swamp monster❤
Dan, it's funny how you were laughing at the beginning of it, because it's like you knew we were all laughing😂
At 43:30 Dan has a realization that nature is pretty neat. We "think" that Buckthorn is invasive and bad, yet here you are enjoying the benefits of it. All things in nature serve their purpose. Perhaps the buckthorn is help healing the land.
I enjoyed the way this is put together. Id like to see more like this. That way we can learn expectations of our scouting. Now i dont feel so bad. Keep them coming Dan!
This is the model for every whitetail hunting channel - the grind is real and no you just can’t go out and harvest deer like it is a stocked trout pond. It also makes people aware that Dan has been gracious with his channel to the point that there is no such thing as a secret spot for him anymore. New hunters also need to understand the delayed gratification involved. When you DO succeed though - it makes it all the more sweeter!
Thanks for sharing the low/no action hunts... it's super helpful to keep things in perspective as I gain experience

You timed releasing this video well. As most of us are in the middle of the grind. Hard work is an understatement.
Good luck this season Beast! I can’t wait to see you get a big bruiser down
I’m 74yrs from Mississippi. I was following a big track come out of cutover into a field and saw him down there about 100 yards from road just standing looking to road.I’m about 600 yds from him and he dropped. Then I heard a truck coming down the road. When the truck came and went he got up and ran
Too often I find myself going directly to the spot I marked on the map regardless of sign I see on the way. After watching this I think I’m gonna try paying more attention as I walk in and be more open to making an audible . Thanks Dan
Always a great learning experience.....thanks for sharing your process with us!
Long time fan from CT. You've changed the way I hunt thank you Dan.
i have a hard time listening at the beginning because im always reading and laughing at your shirt and have to rewind it!
Great show. Definitely would like to see more that style.
Hey Dan your videos have helped me immensely. I found hunting late in life. 3 years ago I started. I was clueless. Found your channel in July and started scouting using your methods on public land up here in ontario. 2 days ago I shot my first buck. He was a little guy but a buck nonetheless. Hoping to tag out in his dad in a few weeks. Thanks a lot for sharing your knowledge freely brother!
I am in Texas on private land I have learned so much watching you thank you!
Great video Dan. Your videos are the best. I wish I could get you down to Louisiana to hunt our swamps. Thanks for the good info.
One of your best videos Dan, love this beast style of video!
This was cool. Especially after watching your scouting shows 6 months ago. It’ll sure be interesting to see what comes past these spots after Halloween.
Awesome show, Dan. That is great for expectations for scouting for several/many different spots. Great to hear you mention that you're scouting on the way in and hunting the hot sign instead of your planned spot. I am hearing that now a lot from many of the other public land legends.
Really needed to see this** been grinding beast style for a couple years with no success. Just gotta keep grinding, only takes one hunt to change your luck
Awesome video as always One of my favorites you have posted in a while for sure love it
Love these kind of videos you do. Great lessons, its like riding along with you. God bless
Very much appreciate your heart for teaching. This video was awesome, showing all the work put in and how often it doesn't work perfectly!
Go hunt that island in the morning the first week of November. I know it sucks getting in there in the dark. Pack a lunch!
I received alot of good information on this video. I am looking to hunt swamp soon. Never have hunted swamp before in my life. Also nice to see that even the best hunters don't always see deer on every sit.
Well done video Dan.
This is why I love the hunting beast! Best videos. I love Dan’s approach, humor, and honesty. I been hunting high pressure public land in Michigan. My standards are low and would be happy with a 2 year old. It’s challenging hunting the wind and without bait. Reading sign, thermals, and bedding when no ag is close. Dan gives me hope to keep on trying. I’ll get there. The beast stand and sticks sure make setting up and tearing down easy. First season using it and it’s awesome
Great video showing how areas that were pre scouted shake out on actual hunts. Awesome insight straight from you Dan showing new beast hunters how you trust the process.
Dan. I love your shirts!! He-She-it lmao great stuff!! Good show love the correlation between scouting and actual hunting results of what the area turned up. Great stuff buddy keep up the great work.
The bolt got popped out of someone's quiver as they were walking through. I lose 4 or 5 arrows every year going through that thick crap because I use my bow as a plow to move the brush, sticks and cattails out of the way.
Dan all that work you put in. Need to put more work into that Hunting Beard like Eric does. 😂 safe hunting.
Absolutely love this format, Dan! Super helpful for me as a newer hunter. Kudos
I love the video. Cool concept. I like connecting your scouting to the hunts
Inspiring. Helps to process disappoints, learn, reassess, and hit it again. This was a great idea, showing your moves after scouting. We can all relate to this. Would love a hill country version through rut if possible! Thanks Dan.
Great video Dan thank you
Love you shirt Dan!
I love when Dan says poop lol
I like watching the grind. This is the reality of what it's like to deer hunt in my area
Great video, I think it is very helpful to see the comparison between your spring scouting and how you ended up hunting these areas down keep up the great videos!
This is the year of acorns. It’s a masting year for oaks in Michigan/Northeast US. Find oaks you’ll find the deer guaranteed.
These videos are always the best information. Keep grinding!
This was one of the most useful videos I have seen. Please do more of these!
“I don’t think he can get through there. Unless he’s a nut job,” says the man who goes through swamps to get to the deer. 😆
You can with a platform, just turn around and hunt like a stand, I have a strap on back of my old trophy line saddle, I tether off that so I can hunt off stands and platforms, so yes it works like a champion and covers tight cover stand like that 🤝
Great video. It's nice to be reminded that the only way to get it done is to keep trying over and over and over and do it the smartest we can. Sometimes I wonder if others on public ground don't have as much challenge as I do at times, but I think we all do.
One element that may affect the size and number of bucks in the area is the two-buck limit. If that were to change, more bucks could reach a higher age class and be available the following year.
Finally the real deal. Got to love the grind
I like this style of video.
Awesome thanks
Dan I really wish your stand was more affordable because I would not even hesitate on running one!! There’s just no possible way I can make that happen.
This is great, some follow up.
Love the shirt 😂 it's awesome
Love the shirt, Dan! 😂
Well done!
That shirt is awesome!
i gotta keep my bow in hand all times. Im paranoid something will get away. And i treat every approaching deer as a shooter till i verify it isnt or one isnt behind it.
This Video is AWESOME! love this style video.
That guy in the tree is probably one of your subscribers. 😊
Got a nice 8 this year on public

Dan you are next level!
If that swamp were between 2 mountains, mountains are a mix of thick laurels, pines and open hard wood, do you think, bucks would still bed in the swamp, the swamps im looking at, are approximately mile long, 100 to 150 yards wide
Best shirt in awhile lol😂
Your shirt game is top notch. Great video, I was wondering how all those spots you scouted had worked out.
Great video!
Holy hell dan.... she-it that was a good one 😂😂😂
I love this stuff man!
Awesome video my friend. Can't make up my mind, Which do I enjoy more, Dan 's videos or shirts 🤔 👀 😂
love the shirt.awesome info
you have interesting t shirts....
Postseason scouting gives you a bunch of potential options. Pre-season and in-season scouting kills deer. Most of my areas that looked phenomenal postseason have been total duds, or haven’t heated up yet. I’m convinced you need to have a different spot for every 10 days of the season.
I loved this video! Much like you my spots are so good the deer dont even know about them!😂😂😂😂
Your shirts are epic Dano
Awesome video
Love the shirt 😂 😂 😂
Not my arrow but the kinda broadhead i slang!!🦌🦌
I just don't get how a heavy deer with the skinny feet can walk in the boggs without falling three every step
Dam wish I could walk 2 miles one way for a sit!!

Loved the follow up video. Would also like to know where you got your head mounted flashlight holder.

You could definitely hunt that in a saddle.
Dan you got too discouraged about that bolt being there, hell it was probably a kid that lost it, it certainly wasn’t hard to find so why didn’t he find it ? Maybe a night shot at 75 yards 🤔
Good enough spot that you have to sit at full draw.
Simon from Mississippi
LMFAO nice shirt Dan!
I need that shirt
I swear I just watched a video from Iowa and now it’s not on your channel?!?!

What food sources do the deer gravitate to once the acorns are gone in the north north east
Dan do you usually default to walking further in as opposed to spots close to parking? Got a spot just off soybeans that’s only 1/4 mile from parking, and it’s on the se side of a big bedding area. Hope it might be a good cruising spot.

Bucks have many bedding areas. We have learned that there are peak time frames when these bucks bed in certain spots. Factors like proximity to food or does or water, and timing of cover or timing of events like pheasant hunting opener, or rut, or a drought, or flooding, or crop rotation, etc. all have an impact. When we scout and hunt these bedding areas timing is key.
