There is stability in the TLM. This is why the Churches were overflowing in the 50s. Some might say it was rigid and Catholics didn't have as much of a visible relationship with Jesus, as the protestants tout, but kids knew their catechism, families prayed together and actually went to Mass, and reverence for the sacred was lived. There were many nuns and priests and Catholic schools, and they were respected. Now the Church is splintered, nuns and Catholic schools scarce, priests are treated so casually, and the statistics show how few believe in the Real Presence. I lived it, left the church for 20 years, looking for " more of Jesus", and came back and found Him exactly where I left Him, in the Holy Eucharist. I lived through the change and see the disastrous results.

I became a RadTrad 6 years ago when I got so tired of abuses in the NO, committed by the people and sadly, by the priests themselves. During baseball season, a priest says "What about those Mets?" A young priest celebrated Mass wearing red Crocs. At the beginning of one Mass, the priest said, "You must all be getting tired of hearing the same prayers." At first, I did not understand what he was saying, until I heard him using his own prayers all throughout the Mass, including consecration. A top-heavy woman (you know what I mean) distributed communion, wearing a thin T-shirt with nothing underneath. In an LGBTQ-friendly parish, there was a prolonged kissing and hugging during the peace sign. I could go on and on. I love everything about the Latin Mass even if I still do not speak Latin (my red guide book is a big help). I know that when the priest is whispering his prayers and the choir is chanting. they are all prayers addressed to God, who hears every word.

I love this priest...very practical and simple... priests dont need to be radical in changing the parish.... a simple step by step change with explanation for better understanding is the right way to restore the sacred in the Church

I love the prayer of Saint Michael. That is a beautiful prayer to say at the end of the mass.

Treditionis custodes made me a Latin Mass advocate. That said I go to a NO vigil Sat. and a Diocese Latin Mass Sunday at 5PM. After listening to both sides of the NO/TLM debate which I wasn’t aware of before TC I’m not against V-2 but I have grave concerns about the way Vatican II was implemented. It's not a rejection of V-Il it's the rejection of the “Spirit of V-Il” which all but ripped the heart and soul out of the Catholic faith along with the Latin Mass, sacred music, the High Altars and communion rails. These over zealous Bishops, priests and parish councils replaced or remodeled beautiful Catholic Churches with drab protestantized churches with a radically New Order Mass with lay people all over the sanctuaries acting like faux priests and awful, bad music helped cause the mass exodus from the Church. Bring back the sacred music and a couple of communion kneelers at the front of the altar so people can piously receive the Eucharist and getting rid of Eucharistic ministers would be a huge step forward.

The more I understand what Vatican Ii did and the beauty and truth of the traditional mass , the more I want to go back . I left the Church In the early 60s as a young boy and remember some Latin Masses . I came back to the Church in 87 and now are coming full circle to my faith home . At 70 , it has been a long journey but Thank God the Lord and Our Lady and St Joseph never left me .Praise God !

As a priest trained in the 1970's, I can agree wholeheartedly with Fr. Longenecker. Our priests have NOT been trained to celebrate the Eucharist. Among other things, we were never taught the place of music-singing. I sang the whole Mass in my first celebrated Eucharist (only the first two readings were not sung... the Gospel, Eucharistic Prayer, and all the propers and ordinary were sung). This was Novus Ordo. I believe that ANY daily Mass can be celebrated with the same reverence as any Latin Mass which I served in the 1960's.

If the devil hates Latin, then by all means we should be praying and doing more things in Latin! Fr. Repperger was right. Exorcist who fight with demons have even testified the prayers in Latin are more effective. Of course that also includes the holiness and preparation of that priest.

Deo gratias for Monsignor Lefebvre. Because of him we have the mass of the Saints to this day, and the gold standard of how to approach resistance to a corrupt hierarchy

Here's my take on Vatican II from someone who became a Catholic thirteen yrs ago at age 60. To me I believe Vatican II was a disaster for the Church, I believe that with my whole heart. Before I became Catholic I never understood what V II was all about. Now my eyes have been opened and I have a better understand of what happened. It seems to me that that wanted to make it easier to be Catholic and more ecuminical and broader appealing, sort of a watered down version. They took the reverence out of the Church and after that it wasn't valued like it was before. Now we have "everyone will be saved" so why be Catholic. I've actually heard of priests telling people wanting to convert that they don't need to be Catholic or have the Sacraments to be saved. I wasn't Catholic back then but I do know what I am missing.

Greenville, SC is immensely blessed. I've lived in many states. The fact that I now have 3 parishes within a 10 min drive that offer Ad Orientem N.O. and/or E.F. Masses is a tremendous grace. Fr. Longenecker is one of the best pastors I've ever had.

Praise be Jesus Christ for the church and Our Blessed Mother. .God you gave us all that we needed to make it into heaven. And you ask so little...I Thank you Jesus Christ for the Catholic Church. I'll never lose faith because it's about you...you never said it would be easy...you never said things would be perfect...they weren't perfect for you as you bled on the cross for my sins. .. Blessed Mother you watched your son be Crusified not because he sinned... because I sinned and my fellow brothers and sisters...I'm grateful for the timing and content of this video...But Jesus I'm going to keep my eyes on you and my goals towards heaven...I love you and I want to show my gratitude my going to mass and accepting your body the most Holy Eucharist into my body...the church is going through alot ...I'm not going to say anything that you Jesus don't already know ......Your in control and SATEN may have his hour but you JESUS will have your day!!!! In the name of the Father, the son and the Holy Spirit.....Amen ..

How Vatican 2 could even consider changing the Mass of St Pope Pius V is utterly unfathomable. It, clearly, had no authority to do this. One understands (now) where the sedes are coming from.

I find that the Mass in our church is so crammed with involvement, singing, etc that I come away afterwards feeling overwhelmed & that I have been so busy participating, I somehow missed Jesus in all the crowdedness. I would love so much for there to be more silence & less rush at Mass.
