I hope we get a red dead redemption 3 that takes place during the late stages of the civil war - where you cant cross half the map for a point because there is a battle staging and the very first chapter you are in the union army as maybe a black solidier who is in a company that bc of the times is in a company that is on the front lines set to get wasted - kind of a Cold Mountain theme but he's union - and you have to navigate the south area of the game carefully and also avoid union areas bc of deserter and i think with AI at that point all this would make a great experience that would put the player in a really tense almost paranoid world - thats prob a bad word for it - but that's how I would write it. Red Harlow would be a support and or epilogue character depending on what happens to the main character - but going back that far would open up a whole new world (new maps with a little of the old but not like we've ever seen it - maybe going far west in the epilogue of that game would be limpany or I forget the name of the ghost town - a saint denis in a much earlier stage of developement - but as an epilogue treat - the rest being whats across the river to the east in rdr2. And Red Harlow would some how be a part of it - I feel they made john a better character in RDR2 epilogue and i thnk of the possibilities of a throwback like that - but i like my idea for the main character and the conflicts and world they would experience and would have to go with him as a supporting character to an extent

Red Harlow absolutely must make an appearance in RDR3. I just feel like Harlow and Ricketts must have crossed paths at some point. Red Harlow should have been on one of the Gunslinger cigarrette cards.

I hope Rockstar will one day make a remake of Red Dead Revolver, but I'd like it to be about, the "true" events that happened, but I'm also conflicted because I enjoy the goofiness of the original such as the boss fights and I'd like those to kinda stick, or at least the strangeness to them. Like the dude who used had a gatling gun in a coffin, but knowing Rockstar, they'll probably leave Revolver in it's own space.

Red Harlow ain't following Dutch Vanderlin under any circumstance. He was his own man.

We need a 20 to 30 hours long, open world remake of this old gem that is Red Dead Revolver! Great montage with the music at the start by the way

I believe that Red Harlow, might of change his name due to Revenge’s and he could also possibly be living in Canada, just to enjoy his Retirement and not be Heard From Ever Again. It would also be Badass, if Red Harlow has runs into Charles Smith and decided to Live with him on the New Wapiti Reservation and Red Harlow is also Half Native American from his Mom Side.

you're the first person to put the Jack Marston running into Red Harlow theory ever. I always had a sinking suspicion that if they made Red Dead 3 it would be Jack hunting down the rest of the lawmen who killed his father thus putting him in danger. The only person who might be able to teach him to be a better gunfighter would be none other than Red Harlow

Terrific video. It sounded like a lot of thought was put into it. My favorite theory of the ones presented is the low-profile theory, as it's highly believable & it fits the story of the character. Red appeared to walk away from bounty hunting once he got his revenge, & I've always wondered if he may have gone back to make a life for himself with Katie O'Grady. I've always hated the Uncle theory for all the reasons specified, but also because Red Harlow was a bounty hunter. Red hunted outlaws, so it wouldn't make any sense for him to be an outlaw... especially not a nearly useless one. Additionally, along with the eye color, Red Dead Revolver would've taken place no earlier than the mid-1880s judging by the weaponry available to him, & he wouldn't have aged poorly enough to look like Uncle even if he'd lived the next 15 years in opium dens, brothels, & saloons.

Some people said Red Harlow joined the Van der linde gang as uncle in red dead redemption 2

I've never finished RDR and unfortunately idk much about Red Harlow but watching this makes me want to get the game again and play through it.

It's just not possible for Red and Uncle to be the same person because of the age of Uncle in rdr2 which is set in 1899, and the age of Red in the 1880s Uncle would have to be 50 years old at the most. I think Red Harlow finished his purpose in the 1880s, had 1 last beer at the bar, and got into his DeLorean, hit 88 MPH and is now living in 1985

I think it fits pretty well actually. Rdr1 they say Red was active about 30 years prior. Red was roughly 45 at the time. That would make him close to 75 during the first game and 63 in rdr2. Idk about you, but uncle looks to be right in that ball park.

Actually, eye collors can change as you grow older. When I was a baby and a child my eye was blue, as grew older it started to get green. I can see how in 50 years someone's eyes could turn brown. But you're still right, there's no way Uncle is Harlow.

Red Harlow should be playable in RDR3 as a epilogue character with Red Dead Revolver being remade and the main story is when you play as Nate Harlow before he died. Red Dead Revolver can be canon since Dan Houser, Lazlow, and Leslie Benzies left Rockstar and Arthur can tell people “not to believe everything you read or hear” since the original game had a mission select from a book. In the first epilogue we can even see more in depth of Red Dead Revolver and in the second epilogue takes place after the events of Revolver but before RDR2. Red can meet and hear characters from RDR2 and RDR1. And the third epilogue will be when Jack meets Red Harlow after he told him his adventures and said, “Do not believe everything you hear, see, or read.”

If Red Dead Redemption 3 doesn't focus on the continuation of Red Harlow's story and what happened to him and Jack Swift after Governor Griffin got killed, I can't say I'll be too intrigued. I've been waiting for a sequel to Revolver since 2009. 15 years.

If they remaster rdr1 they should definitely do revolver.

As much as I would love a revolver sequel, I just can't see it ever happening

The way I see it, Red Harlow was real but Red Dead Revolver is a campy parody film based on Jack Marston's novel.

This deserves a remake!

I was literally booting up red dead revolver on my ps4 when i saw this in my recommendation

I think Red Harlow was good friends with Arthur before somehow dying and was the one who told him “Revenge is a fools game” since he spent the entirety of Red Dead Revolver getting revenge only to see that it doesn’t help in any way.

3:25 There are people sitting around the camp fires talking about Red Harlow in the RDR.

Red harlow in a saloon drinking beer and playing darts with Silas Greaves, colton white and the McCall brothers.

Playing rdr2 I loved Arthur morgan and had no idea who the other characters was. Watching people play rdr1 makes me have a lot of respect for John Marston

Simple, Red Harlow contracted terminal back pain which made him age quickly, and he joined a band of outlaws, later living with one of them and being killed by lawmen in his friend’s farm

You gotta Understand that Red Dead Redemption 2 on console was a 25/100% incompleted game so RockstarGames cut a Ton of Things out the game for only a reason God knows... But people just Know RockstarGames dropped the Ball with RDR2. Because look at how much they ruin John Marston made him look Like Arthur... So of course if the players were able to play as Uncle Red Harlow as a Main character RockstarGames would have to strip 5 signature character features from him to make Uncle Red Harlow look less like himself

​@@PLANETJUMPERGiRLXXXRed Harlow was born in the 1860s. Uncle was born in 1849. Red Harlow's parents were killed in the 1870s. Red Dead Revolver is set in 1888 or 1889. When Uncle was caught by the Skinners Brothers he was tortured and this explains Uncle's scars. The Skinners Brothers gave Uncle those scars.

So I'm just playing red dead revolver and noticed that red could be uncle in theory and that's because of the bounty hunter story mode. In the first mission where you play as red jr. the task is to kill all enemies with one shot otherwise you fail. To me it is quite sad seeing this, but I'm glad at the same time, because they aren't in the same univerese. Anyways have a nice day/night Edit: Or maybe uncle is jut dreaming about to be red harlow/the alcohol made him think that he is red after some time idk

Tell you what I would not be opposed to them doing a remake of Red Dead revolver for the PS4 PS5 or the new Xbox console

The Dutch ditched and betrayed Red Harlow before forming his new gang. He made a deal with the devil hence at the end of RDR2 you could see he had his own motives and had the ability to manipulate but Karma is bitch therefore, RDR1 explains his end very well.

I just realized that all 3 red dead games are exactly 7 years apart. But frankly the leap of technology between revolver and redemption is way bigger that of redemption and redemption 2. And that's saying something as RDR2 is a graphical phenomenon. But then again so was RDR1 case and point it holds up over a decade later

Honestly if red Harlow returned in jacks story he should be more so a mentor bc they have similar backstories and plus Jack becomes a civilian after some time writes the book that’s found in gta 5 and I guess he died from heart disease which can be found on the wiki page for rdr lore so if that is cannon that would be a very interesting story that could be displayed with Jack being guided by red trying to help him get out of his outlaw life style becoming a better man etc lol or something way better than that bc red is a legend so u can’t do too much bc it could ruin it or it can be one of the most creative implementation to see. 🤙🏼

i make all the thumbnails with a program on pc called "photoscape x" but i used to make thumbnails on my phone with picsart. my thumbnails look the way they do because i have almost 10 years in gfx experience

I wouldn't be surprised if Arthur and Red met somehow and Red gave Arthur some some type of Dead Eye magic. Like shooting advice or something. I wonder if there's a connection between these characters and dead eye.

Dead eye is just gameplay mechanic it doesnt exist jn canon.

4:38 makes the obvious sense, in my opinion. On where and what happened to Red Harlow.

He's a really cool character for sure. I just got red dead revolver and it is something else, first few chapters are fun until u get to those stupid clowns and genies. Definitely Many alternatives u can come up with this guy. Personally I still haven't came up with a conclusion on what happend to him. Anyways great job u 2!

One hint on why red Harlow is not uncle in the beginning of Red Dead redemption 2 at Sadie's ranch you can hear him say something about Uncle and his real name being Sam

Yeah you can see his house and there are references of him but those are Easter eggs but I kinda believe the uncle theory because you can see uncle has a burn on his right hand so maybe the uncle theory is true

Imagine RDR3 shows the blackwater incident and Red Harlow hunting down a young Dutch throughout and he's taken down by the gang or something

One thing no one talks about is Agent Milton…. I think Red Harlow is Milton because if you go to the rdr wiki and look at all the quotes he has it seems to be the same perspective as Red Harlows hole “revenge” thing. And if you do look at Milton’s skin it is a little wrinkly. But Agent Milton seems young so he couldn’t be old. So he must have grown up in new Austin. And if you are saying that Red Harlows eyes and Milton’s eyes don’t match it’s because he might have Disease, infection, swelling or injury can scar or discolor your cornea.

John may be related to Red Harlow somehow. Look at Johns face in the epilogue. He has the same scars and a hat that looks the same.

Regardless of the rockstar team saying they don’t take place in the same universe, there’s some things to tie the two (or 3) games together. I mean come on the people at campfires give a synopsis of his story and claim to have met characters in the Original red dead game (that alone let’s you know the events happened in the same universe)

Rdr3 can only go so many ways. One of them is a red harlow story. Would love to see it. Being more grounded and gritty just like rdr 1 and 2. We know continueing off of rdr 1s ending is a no go. But introducing the real red harlow if done right. Would be the focus point of the game.

He caught lumbago and the rest is history
