what did i say about antagonising her?

To be fair, Meggy being "weaker" allows the other characters to have their own moments. Besides, she's still as physically capable as she used to be (I'd even say that she's currently the most skilled 'normal human' on the show); the thing that makes the modern version of Meggy different is that SMG4 has started to lean into her being overly emotional, a weakness that she's had since her introduction. She's still a badass, but she's no longer an unstoppable force that can carry the entire gang through just about any situation. Personally, I don't really mind her having to rely on her friends more if it means we get to see the rest of the cast every now and then.

I think she needs to take anger management or something. Also she was working on getting two to be braver only for Mario to steal all the credit.

Perhaps a little peer counseling from Dr SMG3 could help Mario and Megs. I mean, it did help Wario and Waluigi.

I get the feeling that these character changes are going to result in some form of emotional payoff. Both this episode and the next one seem to highlight Meggy losing her way in order to achieve her goals. I hope that’s what this is leading up to. It would be unfortunate if this behaviour is the status quo for Meggy onwards.

Looking back, she tends to act like this when it comes to a goal of hers, like y'know, IN MEGGY'S BOOTCAMP? So I unfortunately find her "losing her way in order to achieve her goals" to be consistent overall.

@@BriHedgehog Its like everyone has to keep certain character flaws and NOT overcome them for the sake of the series, despite such flaws causing simple matters to escalate to reality-breaking extremes.

@@mechasaurus True, it's like a sitcom in this instance but it's still a trait of hers that's been there from the start, a.k.a. "the Inkling days". it seems like they are now actively trying to do something with that trait. I'm just pointing it out so no one can say this is a "NeW dEvElOpMeNt!"

I like how this is one of those times where Tari and Luigi actually stand up for themselves, really having some serious character developments right there. There was this one episode that reminds me of in The Boondocks, where Tom Dubois actually stand up for himself when he go up against the Booty Warrior, while overcoming his fear.
