I think it was very admirable that the show’s management let Michael O’Hare leave the show when he became mentally unstable, yet kept him as an integral character of Babylon 5 story line. It was also admirable that not only did they keep him in the story line, but they also made allowances for his mental health when he was brought back briefly to close out his characters story. It was very gracious of them to keep his illness a secret. They even would have kept his health a secret forever, but O’Hare asked that they give the real for his departure when he died so that it might help others who suffer from mental health as well. Hollywood was not known to be kind to those who suffer from mental health back then.

The fact that JMS had the entire series laid out from the beginning to end is amazing. Even more amazing is that he had to change it all after the actor who played Sinclair asked to be released from his contract over severe anxiety issues.

I read that every character in the series had a 'Trapdoor' in case something happened to the actor. A good bit of planning on his part. Used it twice I believe.

Babylon 5 is still one of my favorite series. I am watching it again.

Michael O'Hare was amazing as Sinclair. I hope that in the new series we get more about Sinclair and the first Shadow War. RIP Michael O'Hare you were big reason we loved Babylon 5.

It took me a while to warm up to him. He had that monotone type of voice that I've never cared for. But as the series went on and then on rewatch, I came to like him and even love him. I started another rewatch and I appreciate and enjoy him more than ever!

Sinclair was my favorite character, so sad what happened to Michael O'Hare. Thanks I learnt something, though I knew all the lore.

You didn't mention that Sheridan meet up with Sinclair nearly 50 years later. Sheridan was killed at Za' hadoom as Vorlon Ambassador Kosh predicted. But was Brought back life by one of First Ones. Catch was Sheridan only live about 50 years afterwards.

I'm pretty sure Sinclair knew delenn was a member of the grey council in the first season? Didn't the soul hunter tell him that she was satae? (sorry for spelling)

It also doesn't seem clear in this video of when Sinclair contacted "Garibaldi and his friends" on B5 (shortly after being assigned as Ambassador on Minbar), as Garibaldi was still unconscious following his getting shot in the back and during that time Garibaldi was out of commission, Sinclair was already recalled/reassigned.

He suspected... but his suspicions would not be confirmed before his eventual journey to Minbar.

The message from Jeffrey Sinclair was from season 3. It was the episodes 16, (The message) and 17 to complete the story, that started in Babylon Squared.

The message was in season 2, when Garibaldi 1st encountered the rangers (one was carrying the message). Sinclair returned in season 3, the 2-parter War Without End, to complete his arc.

Wasn't Dukhat a descendent of Valen as well, as most of the Minbari on the flagship did not know the Vorlon's were onboard? He knew the Humans would be needed to fight the next shadow war and was on a secret task to find them.

While I didn't warm to B-5 until after Sinclair left, I did prefer him to Shereden.

I had the paperback that touched on this years back ( wished they could have filmed it as a special etc)

Would be nice of you to include sources for these claims. Some of this comes from tie-in novels, and some of this from comics.

I liked Catherine. :(

OK, how did Sinclair as Valen find Catherine? @6:20. Aren't they in different parts of the timeline?

A couple of things make little sense as Delenn told Sinclair about what happened at the Battle of the Line on Babylon 5 as seen in the last episode of season 1. Also as a P5 Talia Winters would not have been able to scan a Psi Cop.

Wasn't she buffed by Ironheart at this point ? She had mild telekinetic abilities, I'd say she was more than P5 but didn't register

@@MogoFromHell Agreed. Talia is indeed above a P5 after her encounter with Ironheart but with the Psi strength and training of Psi Cops even powerful Alien Telepaths don't seem to be able to scan them stealthily enough

You have to used the Kosh voice.

I love Babylon 5. Lets hope it starts up again.

sloppy clip or just lazy watching of the show? sinclair knew delenn was grey council since a least the soul hunter episode onwards. he treated her as such at all times. sinclair also liked to gather inteligence and was able to gleam that delen was not simply "ambassador", but rather leader of the grey council. the episode of sinclair on minbar was a stagin area. sinclair became ranger one and then left for babylon 4, that he took back into the past while undergoing crysalis, becoming valen. only valen and valen's descendants, that is humans or minbari carrying sinclairs DNA could undergo crysalis. that is why delenn, a distant great grand daughter of sinclair, was able to touch the tirluminary and undergo crysalis. after the shadow war a 1000 years ago valen sattled on minbar, became head of the grey council, but knowing he only became minbari, but was not born of a minbari, his children were ostracised. still, in obscurity they survived and endured. after all Delenn was herself dscended from valen/sinclair. again crysalis.

Sorry but Canadian Garabaldi is too annoying.
