What Happened To EVERY Wrestler From WWE Raw's First Episode?
Спорт
It's hard to believe, but January 11, 2020 marks 27 years since the birth of the most historic, and still-presently contemporary, wrestling TV series of all time, WWE Monday Night Raw. Few would've guessed that that initial live broadcast from New York's Manhattan Center would spawn over 1300 (and counting) episodes, while serving as epicenter for an endless list of legendary moments. Let's take a look at What Happened To Every Wrestler From WWE Raw's First Episode?

Jim Duggan looks like if AJ Styles had a rough life
They should do a “What Happened to that Wrestler” episode on every wrestler on the intro

That was just a desert mirage. He never wrestled again after his retirement match with the Undertaker 👍
Oh the irony, that Mr Perfects name is misspelled.

Always seems to be someone who makes multiple mistakes in their own comment pointing out this stuff on youtube videos. A bit of irony there, too...
Steiner should have opened up his own fried chicken restaurant, because he looks like a jacked Colonel Sanders. I can already see the commercials advertising their 8 1/3 herbs and spices.

So many of these guys have passed away. RIP. Thanks for the memories.
I know it was 27 years ago which is a long time, but it's really sad how many times Adam said after giving their info that a specific wrestler had died 😢
so the majority are dead. well that's depressing.

If I'm counting right 23 wrestlers/commentators mentioned and only eight of them dead. It's not as bleak as say... One of the early 90s Summerslams.

Dead or still wrestling the occasional match at biblical age.

Only 8 dead, and 3 of them at an old age, but still, 5 out of 23 dying too young is sad.
*What Happened To The Venue?* Built in 1906, the Manhattan Opera House in New York City was established by Prussian businessman Oscar Hammerstein I, who wished to compete with the existing Metropolitan Opera. Within 4 years he was so successful that the Met paid him $1.2 million to stop producing operas for a decade, effectively buying him out. The following year Hammerstein reopened the venue as a vaudeville & concert hall before eventually selling the building. By 1922 it had actually become owned by a local chapter of the Freemasons, who built the *Grand Ballroom* that same year to accommodate the venue's existing ballroom, which now bears Hammerstein's name. (Yes, the one that hosted ECW's final PPVs and One Night Stand - they're both housed in the same building.) In 1926 Warner Bros. used the Grand Ballroom to record the soundtrack to the film _Don Juan_ starring John Barrymore, the first film to feature a full musical score, and in 1939 the building's name was changed to the *Manhattan Center.* Over the coming decades the venue would be a popular host to concerts, trade shows as well as wrestling events - beyond its debut broadcast, quite a few other episodes of RAW were taped at the Grand Ballroom before the WWF left in November to begin touring the show weekly, which remains to this day. Since then Manhattan Center's Grand Ballroom has hosted numerous concerts, particularly after a 1997 renovation; as well as weekly church gatherings from Hillsong NYC, and other wrestling promotions: TNA and RoH have both run events there in the past, and in January 2018 hosted (part of) RAW's 25th anniversary show.
I'm gonna eventually die, and this theme song will be stuck in my head. It's legit fantastic.
Considering this event was only 27 years ago it's so sad that far too many of the performers have passed away.
Me at every wrestler mentioned: "Please don't be dead"
I had completely forgotten about the Steiner Screwdriver until now. And now my neck hurts. Thanks guys. Lol
I still love the intro like it’s brand new
It’s always an amazing video when the video is a What Happened To video from Cultaholic.
Huh, Brett Hart wasen’t on the first episode of Raw even though he was the WWF champion at the time. Weird.
Just realized January 11th 2020 will be my 35th birthday. Time flies, man...

Tatanka recently did a pretty good promo for a wrestling promotion in Canada that a friend helps run (Northland Wrestling) and has been doing shows for the Canadian Wrestling Federation in Quebec that you won't find listed anywhere.
I always love the what happen to that wrestler song and the videos thanks guys.
Dear Adam - please don’t ever stop doing this series. It’s amazing! 👍
Hacksaw looking like future AJ Styles lol
Is it me or Vince looks literally dead in the picture at 3:17?

10:32 Mr. Pefect 😂 I'm Dead Edit.... I'm still dead lol
Wow, I recall watching the 500th episode as a kid.. up to 1300 now..... how time flys
That Mr Perfect versus Rick Flair 'loser leaves town' mach is still my favorite all time match.
Thanks Adam, now my missus thinks I'm insane... Dancing in the kitchen to the intro and she walked in 😂
Thanks for making me feel old!
I watch these for the theme song.
Ah, the iconic Mr. Pefect
Paul Diamond was also a one time AWA Tag-team Champion with future Orient Express partner Pat Tanaka, as they were called Badd Company & held the belts from March 19, 1988 until March 25, 1989. Not to be confused with Bad Company from Stampede Wrestling, who were Brian Pillman & Bruce Hart.
Wow! I’ve been a wrestling fan for 29 years!
I remember watchin the very first episode of raw it was great. I've been to Monday night raw twice once live and once taped live. I saw the da man twice I was a huge fan of Stone Cold Steve Austin he was awesome when I saw him back to back.
Thank you, I really wanted to know what this Vince McMahon dude was doing those days.
10:33 Mr. Pefect
So much death in this one... so depressing seeing as I still remember watching this show very clearing :(
These where are they now videos are getting a bit depressing from the amount of wrestlers who've passed away.
Max moon was played by konnan?
Hopefully Cultaholic makes a video on "enhancement talents" in the future. They seem like an interesting part of pro-wrestling.
lol Mr Pefect??? REALLY???
i love thse videos, but at the same time, it's sad to see how many of the guys are no longer with us
I didn't know Prime Time Wrestling existed. I was flipping through channels and found just before RAW debuted.
1993 was truly the year of "what a manoeuvre!" and for that alone we shall forever be grateful to Vince McMahon 😂
Suggestions: 1st Nitro, 1st Impact and if you want to get weird, 1st Lucha Underground.
Oh that pronunciation of Tatanka.

Do you think Pacitti just has "______ sadly died of an overdose of _____&_____ at age ___" pre-recorded and just plugs in the names for each new what happened video?

Wouldn't be a surprise if he did
These are always bittersweet.
I'm not sure but I think the Rockers and Koko B. Ware shared ring attire.
I only really know Sean Mooney because he hosted the Hacksaw Jim Duggan Podcast for a while until Hacksaw left
The first 3/5 are dead may they Rest In Peace all three gave us amazing moments
The fucking irony of Mr Perfect's name being spelled Mr Pefect in the video...*chef's kiss*
It's hard to watch these sometimes with so many people having passed. You get excited when you hear natural causes and 82 years old.

Wait, I thought Macho Man died in a car accident but during his autopsy they found out that he was suffering from a heart condition??? I don't feel like googling it. I'm in lazy af mode.

From what I remember he had a heart attack while driving which caused the accident.
So many premature deaths . Really sad .
who is the woman at 6.26 please?
so many wrestlers died of drug overdose, shows how much strain the business can put on someone health
Have you gentlemen ever checked out the wrestling territories? When they were active, there was a lot of material to draw from. There was life beyond WWE.
Dude wasn't max moon -konan
I can't believe how old Vince McMahon looks. By the way didn't the guy who played Mantaur pass away?

Rather depressing...most of them are dead. On a bright note Max Moon lives in my hometown of Huntsville Alabama! 👍
So we finally learned what happened to Duane Gil.
The old wwf was lot better than WWE Raw now
Sean Mooney looks like he changed his name to Tucker Carlson and went to Fox News.
These lists always end up being a list of people dying at ages younger than my dad. That bothers me in so many ways :( I hope this generation of wrestlers can live a full and healthy life after retirement.
Mean Gene Okerlund was with the W.W.E. for seven years, not a decade.
