Realistically, if Sweet died at any point after 1992, which was likely considering he wanted to stay bangin, CJ likely would've given up on Grove Street once his brother died. Based on how CJ left the gang behind before the game and during game, it seemed to me CJ's onyl connection to the gang was through his family.

If I were to venture a guess, things got much worse in the hood and CJ got fed up with the hood lifestyle and Sweet’s denial over the Grove Street Families. CJ left and got a better home and continued to be Madd Dogg’s manager and partner in the Casino business. Sweet eventually died in a gang shootout which caused CJ to slip into despair. But with some help from Kendal and Caesar, he eventually bounced back.

In my perspective, this is what really happened: If you remember in the last scene after killing officer Timpeny, everyone was celebrating Madd dogs record label. Kendl then said they could go and live in San fiero or Las venturous, but sweet said nah they have to take care of the hood. Just when CJ was heading to the door, Sweet asked where he was going, CJ then responded that he is going to drive around the hood and check on things. So after that scene CJ was outside the house. And what's left to do in the game than to take over all of the hoods. So this is what he did just to show respect to Sweet. I believe after this he then called it "Quits" with the gang life and went to take care of his businesses, because remember throughout the game he made a whole lot of connections so he was basically "Rich". And if you remember also, whenever you move far away from the hood you get a signal that "YOUR HOOD IS UNDER ATTACK". this is when you are too lazy to come and get it back, so the other gangs just take up everything. I'm sure this is how they got to Sweet, maybe he just surrendered to them or just ran away and is now dirt poor. CJ made it clear that he's never going back there ever again cause he is done with hood life, he is now living the good life.

If you take over all the hoods they never come under attack again because the other gangs become eradicated. Either way GTA SA and GTA V are not connected they made them separate because if there were connected there would only be Grove Street gangsters in GTAV with no conflicts and a story with no conflict isn't very fun

Not really a US thing either, because I'm from the US and we use gutter as poor, homeless, or otherwise trailer trash type. If you're in the gutter, then you're in a bad place in your life. So at best it's a regional thing.

Yes, the HD universes are separate from 3D universes. However, both can have crossovers and therefore the story and life of CJ can still be historical fact. There's plenty of characters from both such as Love Fist, Mad Dogg and Lazlow

I think Sweet was eventually killed, CJ killed those responsible, and then just left Grove Street behind and never looked back, it's like CJ said, gang life (the hood) has never done anything for CJ, the only family he'd have left is Kendl, and Kendl was actually good at being a businesswoman, she had no interest in GSF. So yeah, I think he just continued running his businesses and acting as Mad Dogg's manager.

We all know Rockstar as a marketing genius rather than a detailed story-teller. They wanted to create a favorable situation where people like you makes theories on social media and stimulate each other. Also, a random npc is not a reliable source, at 7:14 realistically he's just saying popular opinions, maybe the version that the families wants everyone to know as they move out the scene without getting disturbed ever again. This confirms how much of a fog this situation can be 😂

Rockstar tends to like to leave things open ended. Maybe that's why San Fierro and Las Venturas aren't in the game, because if we saw them, things wouldn't be as open ended, one way or the other.

I think the NPC was just spitting slang towards Sweet since he used to be top of the Grove but now he's no longer there. Hence the turn of phrase he'd used.

It should be noted that none, if so, only a small minority of the events of GTA SA took place in the HD Universe, as the GTA SA story takes place in the 3D Universe, and events rarely ever cross over apart from minor lesser spoken about ones such as the Australian-American War, or Lazlow's rise and fall in American media. While CJ, Sweet, Ryder, and Big Smoke all most certainly existed in the HD Universe, their lives and events probably took different trajectories. In the case of the Grove Street Families in the HD Universe, I believe that they existed as a normal set, akin to that off the Chamberlain Gangster Families or Carson Avenue Families, they did not rise to the glory of their 3D Universe counterpart. They probably had a few OG's putting in work but it never went any further than that, GSF were never seen as the unifying identity of the entirety of the Families, rather just another set, and once all the OG's left the life, the youth of Grove Street, who probably had no relations to this GSF, decided to align themselves with the Ballas, as they felt no connection to the Families which had more of a presence in Chamberlain Hills and Strawberry in the HD Universe, rather than Davis (Ganton in the 3D Universe).

Bypass games would be that when CJ traveled to Liberty City Perhaps he got a scholarship that gave him a free ride to one of the colleges in the area and by the time of GTA4 he's shown to be a respected entrepreneur and businessman being the face of a well known clothing brand.

My guess is that CJ is off building businesses with the help of woozie while sweet is prolly dead, or CJ got assassinated by the mafia.

I think CJ in a life of luxury or at least living away from gang life. Sweet could be the one referent, being dead or living a bad life. Considered that Sweet is always about the hood, while CJ isn’t really about the hood and that why. He run away to Liberty City, not just the death of his brother Brian. Away from the gang life, this is what I really think, he wasn’t going stay at first. Until he got dragged into doing things by Tennpenny and dealing, Big Smoke on the drugs scheme and everything. Why are we don’t know what happened to CJ, it not 100% confirmed that he could be dead. I could believe that it could be Sweet dead, becauseto because the gang thing as he did not want to live that lifestyle. Because that’s how he grew up and probably die that way, the saying is you live by the hood you died by the hood.

Carl Johnson 25 (1992), 46 (2013), 55 (2022), now 57. Franklin's age in 2015 was 25, now 34. Michael's age in 2015 was 45, now 54. Trevor's age in 2015 is unknown, now near 55. It means Carl Johnson is senior to them. In the " END OF THE LINE" Mission, at the last part, they composed the song and because of that, they go to Las Vegas or leave the country for the music, they are roaming the world. So, because of this, the Ballas gang takes advantage and captures the city. I forgot the mission name but when Jimmy and the Franklin were going together to chill and hangout, Jimmy was talking about Groove Street and Urban Legends ( CARL JOHNSON, SWEET, HIS SISTER, BIG SMOKE, RIDER, etc.). Might be I am wrong but this is my opinion.

Cj is executed 3 months after the event of the game, point blank on the back of the head by a Balla son while eating at the Clucking bell of the missions "Drive by". The idea from the developers notes, is that the people that go on the same path as CJ never end well and having in mind the massive amount of people he killed during the game, is honestly not surprising that it came back to bite him in the end. Sweet most likely just moved away before becoming a victim too.

Honestly Carl probably died of some form of cancer after being exposed to flaming asbestos in Burning Desire, inhaling an entire weed farm in Are you going to San Fierro, The Green Goo, the crack factory explosion, ECT.

Information presented in this video is why I consider CJ Genius Tier. CJ is of higher intellect than most protagonists, he just happens to be hood-born.

But in HD universe we only have easter eggs right ? HD universe dont share the same things with the 3D right ?

It's two possibilities 1) either he is dead 2) or he moved out from grove streets after the events of GTA san Andreas to live peacefully since if was in 90s That explains how the grove was taken over by gangs

My headcanon is that at some point the Ballas attempted another hit on Sweet (the type that killed Beverley Johnson) and this time they were successful. CJ, who had kept himself firmly out of the Grove Street business, returns to rip through the Ballas until they sue for peace by handing the assassins to CJ. This is CJ's last interaction with the gang stuff and soon, the GSF split into the Families factions we see in GTA 5 and Grove Street ends up as Ballas territories.

Bro, remember the moment at the beginning of the game when a drunk man in green walks by Michael. Why was Rockstar shown this moment? Is this CJ's own brother? Then a similar man appears in the mission where Lamar and Franklin have a firefight with Vagos. There is one more point that many have missed. Michael was familiar with Toni Cipriani and this was his friend. When Michael asks Lester if there are any boys who will help with the robbery. Lester calls various names. Michael then says Toni name

That "OG Johnson" could be Sweet. He never agreed with CJ about the hood, CJ built an empire while Sweet just wanted to fall back to the hood because as far as we saw in San Andreas, CJ never quit on his business he always improved and get rich.

You know to your heart this game is a masterpiece when people still talk about it today.

Sweet coming out of jail and being like "aw, the hood" is my least favourite part of the game. Just go enjoy being rich with your brother

I Hope We Can See Him Somehow In GTA 6.

To have CJ in GTA VI would be awesome. Even in a small cutscene or something.

This was always my biggest problem with Sweet and the san andreas story… it takes one driving point and DRIVES IT HOME to unrealistic levels. YES some dudes just cant say no to the life. Growing up in Chicago southside, i can tell u firsthand I know A BUNCH of dudes still there years later never growing. So for sweet to wanna stay true to the grove i totally get. But EVEN THE MOST HARD HEADED DUDES will be pursuaded to let it go given the right circumstances! Okay right. So your two younger brothers died. One of their deaths was soo traggic that it forced your youngest brother to flee the state. And he ONLY comes back because they do a hit on your mom. All of your commanders are either dead, retired or lost to the crack epidemic. And u KNOW that your biggest commander (smoke) has been trying to convince you to take a deal and work under ten penny. You refuse that and become a police target, which leads to the big family gang meeting to reunite all the families getting raided by the cops and eventually u get ambushed and arrested while also almost bleeding to death! And now your in prison and behind the prison walls u find out that your last two life lines betrayed u, and your only free because your brother made a connection with an FBI agent that wants to take ten penny down. THROUGHOUT IT ALL. Your brother ends up becommimg a millionaire with a thriving car shop in the next state over, and a ownership stock in a billion dollar casino, both in states that the old rival gangs will never touch. And after ALL OF THAT and a clear chance to start a new and just let it go to the new generation , WHILE ALSO STILL GETTING TO WATCH TEN PENNY self destruct. Instead he wants to risk it all and start from scratch🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️. Always hated that part

Could be that in the Game: GTA Liberty Stories, The Main Protagonist Toni Ciparni who worked for Salvatore Leone, was said to come to Liberty after assassinating a well known business man, it could be CJ as CJ and Salvatore clearly had problems and Salvatore sent CJ a death threat call after the main storyline of GTA San Andreas and looking at the timeline differences, the theory might stand a chance.

Gutta in urban slang can be used as a compliment when applied to somebody. Gutta as in gangsta or bout business, not poor or dead.

Cj is dead , he's buried in the mountains , grave , box and cj all there , u go route 68 to a hse there get the shovel , ride to the grave location and dig , there u find keys to a safe hse in the hood where he used to live

OG Johnson is definitely Sweet. He was after all the matriarch of his family and the leader of the gang. And since CJ was so adamant about leaving the hood, i do think he may ventured out into the business world, while Carl stubbornly stayed behind at their childhood home. I also think he might have gotten caught up with some drugs, as we see him narrowly get caught by CJ.

What happens to cesar and kendl. Where are they now? Kendl and Cesar apparently been living a family life after that game ended and in my theory they decided to leave the country and head to mexico for a fresh start. Cj would tell cesar to don't let kendl be any danger. I can tell cesar and his gang and kendl are now live in Mexico and had a child together.

I have to say that GTA 5 was great, but i won´t never forget the large amount of hours that i spent playing SA as a teenager.

another theory is that after the mission where u kill the hitmen on the plane in san andreas you get a call from salvatore and he threatens you that you're dead, and in another gta games i believe its vice city stories and salvatore travels from los santos to vice city after killing a gangster that he knew before he moved to vice city

I think in most likelihood CJ and Sweet probably parted ways, with CJ focussing on expanding his businesses and sweet focussing on the gang. However, what likely happened was that Sweet failed to keep the gang powerful and probably lost Grove as a result. However, I also don’t see CJ remaining quiet about losing the Grove - which indicates that there was either a massive fallout between the two of them at some point, or CJ ended up getting killed.
