9muses created music beyond their time. Hurt locker, Dolls, Sleepless night, Drama, Glue, Wild, Lip 2 Lip ugh all bops and still my fav girl group to this day. Their documentary was so tragic to watch and they deserved better. I thought Hurt Locker will be their breakout song to get their first win but competition was tough during their promotion. They disband because after so many bops they dropped people didn't even turn their way. No fans = no money = no comebacks. I'm happy they went on for that long and also ended up giving us a departure song :( to give us some closure. My fav member was and still is kyungri!! She had that IT girl factor.

It is sad to see a group with such potential to be overlooked. Maybe because of the constant lineup change helped. It's hard to support a group where your favorite member could be gone the next single/ comeback.

it's still crazy to me that in less than a year 3 girls left, how did they get away from the contracts so easily?

my guess is that the company knew they had a lot of information under their belt about mistreatment and knew it would be spoken about if they didnt break their contracts fairly

They were a group with "graduation" concept from the start, just like After School.

Unrecognised heroine Hyemi. She was constantly overlooked, yet had an amazing voice, was the most stable, but still ended up neglected for the most part. Heart-breaking waste of talent!

they also had really good choreographies , it makes me sad the way they were treated after i saw the docu about them

Ladies should have been the single. Its way better has hella energy and perfect for the gen 2 party era and perfectly introduces the members n perfect for crowd interaction and iconic moments. Theyd have different careers.

my favourite member is sera, fav lineup was the 9 member one in 2013. they perfomed on mmtg last year but they didnt invite the OG members/ the most popular lineup. their insta also shows members of the last 8 people lineup with sojin and keumjo hanging out, but not sera, lee saem. this is strange

Hyuna & Hyemi made a duet called ME:US! they had a comeback about a week ago Also maybe because of 9muses not making enough money?

I will say that No Playboy was extremely poorly received in Korea because their debut stage. Many people thought their vocals we're really weak and bad, which they are in that performance, but it was their first ever performance. Of course theyre nervous... Poor Keumjo just never got mentioned as an addition to the group with Sojin- Also, before Remember, 9MUSES A debuted with Lip 2 Lip, but 9MUSES A just became 9MUSES after that. Oh and another random fact, Sungah was actually the first ever member of 9MUSES but she left before the documentary and then returned back later.

They had many very weak links in their debut, their main singer looks traumatised, the direction is bad, their bosses psychology is counter productive, they look cheap and were trained for disaster. We can hear how they coached Sera in the docu... how to sing and breath your doom.

Minha is my favorite member. She seems a very nice and kind-hearted girl. Vocalwise, the pink hair girl gets my vote. I hope one day the group will reunite again (instead of me:us which clearly doesnt work). Sleepless night, secret, fancy, lip2lip, dolls are all fantastic songs that i still listen to even today.

My favorite group EVER. I Miss them every single day I love all members, but my favorites are Sungah, Keumjo and Hyuna And Hyemi is amazing, because she never give up the group!

Maybe it's just because I never see anyone mention it but No Playboy seems to be a difficult song; it requires a lot of air and a stable voice.. while dancing. They were all exhausted or feeling ill at that point. Like most other people I agree Ladies should have been their debut song..

I so hate that type of graduation groups (after school, 9muses). The line-up must be kept to grow their fanbase . Best era of 9muses imo was from Ticket to Glue . Didn't mean Keumjo and Soojin were bad but it wasn't the same feeling in my heart

I really loved Nine Muses because of their hard work ethic, beauty, and the talent among some of the girls. The factor which killed its progress as a group was probably the constant graduation (leaving) of members which made it so hard for fans to remember the lineup or identify with any of them readily, and that was also a sign of rather shoddy management on the part of Star Empire Entertainment unfortunately.

My favorite song by them is Ticket. I still listen to it to this day

Very underrated group. Their songs are so much better than a lot of more famous groups. And the end was pretty awful. The last song not only had the same title as an earlier (far superior) track, it was just plain boring. Kyung-ri's "Blue Moon" and Moon Hyuna's "Cricket Song" are also great.

14:33 - you forgot about keumjo!! she joined at the same time as sojin (who now goes by gabin btw), despite not participating in nasty nasty 15:52 - s/s stands for summer special, so the full name of the album is 9muses summer special edition :D 19:07 - what about muses diary part 1.... 😭😭😭 the subunit 9muses A debuted in august 2016 with the album muses diary part 1 and title track lip 2 lip, while hyuna and sungah were still in the group. hyuna officially left the group in october 2016, and sungah's official hiatus (she was theoretically not on hiatus prior to this as she was simply not participating in the subunit) was announced june 1 2017. after sungah was put on hiatus, 9muses A essentially disbanded, becoming just 9muses as those four members were the only ones active in the group at the time. the album muses diary part 2 (title track remember) was then released june 19, 2017. sungah was never active in the group again although she never technically left

@@Bodi2000 so true dad sooo true. also realized another mistake(? lack of clarity perhaps) today where in the start they say one of the members left to pursue modelling instead, but actually she got kicked out for being sick and not attending practice, it's a scene shown in the documentary. so less of a personal choice to go a different direction and more of a forced out of being an idol

After i had seen the documentary about them, i think the company was just shady. And after the artist are not even allowed to chime in regards to the contract, then what is the use? My favorite members were Lee Sem, Eunji and Euaerin.
