Thanks for sharing the positive side of menopause, Dr. Taylor. I had a bright outlook about my surgical menopause and I think it helped me heal faster. I loved the thought of no more pain, periods, and no more risk of certain cancers. I loved that I would be able to wear white pants any day I wanted! I love that you wear Victorian looking clothing and yet your mind and your message is so appropriate for what women need today! Thanks for your exuberant commitment to informing us. By Golly, YOU rock!!!

You are every so kind, my dear. Thank you so much for boosting my ego. I just love teaching you, and I don't know how to be anything but me. I've always said that there are only 2 kinds of patients when it comes to surgery: (1) The ones who were prepared, convinced that the surgery was necessary, and had already exhausted other options. They think the surgery is the best thing that ever happened to them. (2) The ones who were not prepared, unconvinced the the surgery is necessary, and feel forced into it. They blane every problem for the rest of their lives on it. You were in the first group.

I am getting to hate pants and buying floral skirts and dresses now. All around me it’s pants, trousers, shorts on women with boring, masculine colors. I appreciate and adore your color coordination and laces in your dresses. The reason I am now hating my work pants is because they pile up between my thighs while walking, and when no one is watching, I pull down the pile. Embarrassing. MenoBarb has taught us how to dress like ladies. Even the churches I have visited have ladies who wear dresses and skirts. Thank you for inspiring me (and some of us women). With a dress and skirt, there is no more pile up. A from Japan

It's not all in your mind. Painful joints is a very common symptoms of menopause (even peri-menopause) because estrogen is a lubricant for your joints. During peri-menopause, your progesterone is low or gone, but your estrogen is erratic. That's enough to cause joint pain.

It's title is "Q & A About Menopause Taylor." And it aired on October 2, 2018. I became surgically and prematurely menopausal at the age of 34. I'm 60 now. And I've been taking estrogen all the while. I've tried various products and brands, but I've never stopped it or tried to take lower dosages. That's pretty much my whole story.

Menopause Taylor so you've only been taking estrogen? With progesterone? I thought that was "the rule" no estrogen without progesterone bcuZ of the cancer causing effects? I've suffered from severe menopause symptoms and some symptoms have dissipated after 3 years but I still have the vaginal atrophy and the awful issues that are connected with that. I've been on estrogen several times; patch, pills, bio identical cream, estrace and all made me crazier. I was recently diagnosed with a gene mutation where my body is unable to break down estrogen which is why My symptoms would exacerbate everytime i took estrogen. I was also tested and told i have almost no testosterone. However, I am on a ton of supplements right now to balance out my body before they start me on any more hormones but nothing is really causing me relief.

I have no uterus. You have to take progesterone if you have your uterus. You don't have to take it if you don't. I've covered this in many of my videos. And the worts thing you can possibly do is compare yourself or your situation to anyone else. That's what this education is called "Your Management Your Way." Please, please, consider scheduling a consultation with me at MenopauseTaylor.ME. It sounds like you really need one. You are not watching my videos in order, and you are asking specific questions about your management. The only way I an really help you is through a consultation, where I can tailor everything to YOU. I'm in the business of educating you about everything you need to know and do in order to get exactly what you want for managing your menopause your way. So, here's how a consultation works: 1) You would schedule a one-on-one consultation at my website, MenopauseTaylor.ME, choosing a time that is convenient for you. I do consultations on Skype, FaceTime. Facebook Messenger, What’s App, and the phone. 2) I would confirm that you are scheduled for the stated time, and invite you to send me as much information about yourself as you please. You can make it brimming with details and tell me about your reproductive life, any gynecologic problems you've had, your symptoms of peri-menopause, and your symptoms of post-menopause. You can include all your fears, concerns, and goals for your menopause management. You may also send me any labs, mammogram results, bone density results, etc. that you would like me to include in designing your protocol. For instance, if you want to adhere to a certain category of management options (herbs or diet & lifestyle, or whatever), you should tell me that. I would need all these things at least 1 week before your consultation with me. 3) I'll get busy creating a document that gives you all the education you need to understand absolutely everything, points put the pros and cons of each option, and tailors it all to YOU using the information you have provided. The document will be loooooong. Most are 25 - 30 pages. 4) I will send you the document by email at least 24 hours before your consultation. You will benefit greatly by reading it in advance. Light bulbs will go off like crazy, and if you're like most women, you'll feel that you've already gotten your money's worth. 5) During your consultation, we will review the document and address any issues you want to fine tune everything and determine your best options. I'll tell you exactly how to find the right kind of professional, how to have the conversation in order to get what you want, and the nuances of things like guidelines and insurance. I leave nothing unaddressed. 6) You will go to a professional of your choosing in order to get the actual hormones or whatever you choose to use. 7) After the first consultation, I'll hold your hand (forever if you want me to). In other words, you'll be able to schedule mini-consultations (15-minute or 30-minute, in addition to full consultations) whenever you need to. I'll keep records of your situation. Most women schedule mini-consultation whenever they go to the doctor and don't understand what he or she said, or why. I translate. I make sense of everything. Most schedule mini-consultation whenever they have a new test and they want me to explain the results. And all schedule mini-consultation whenever their situation changes and they need to re-weigh and balance their options. The time you spend with me will make everything about working with any other professional so easy. And they will love the fact that you have an actual education rather than a bunch of misconceptions that you got form the Internet. If your initial hormone regimen is not right, you'll want to consult with me before going to your doctor. I can prepare you for what to expect and what to request. So, that's my role. And nobody else on earth does this kind of thing but me. So, I hope you schedule a consultation and let me hold your hand (figuratively).

Now with all the hormones completely insane, I'm eating for insulin resistance as well people are now taking me seriously around food so I'm rocki'n this roller coaster. I have always dressed as I like and not necessarily like anyone else. People complement me ask me to make them T- shirts and stuff. I'm also finally getting sufficient alone time with my precious puppy of course and try not to let it cut into my sleep. Thank you for this encouraging video.

It’s some how takes the sting out of the more scary truths of this time in life. I love your clothing, your homes furnishings....they both speak to your heart, tender and strong! I love you!

You are brilliant! So happy I did a You Tube search on menopause a few days after my TAH BSO. I wasn't told what to expect. No one told me about surgical menopause. I don't fault the doctors. I have chosen to do bioidentical hormones. I was already taking vitamin and herbal supplements for my neurological (and probably rheumatic too) that helped so was a bonus. I added a couple more. I had to wait 10 weeks for estrogen therapy when I should have had a surgical follow up at six weeks. I'm diabetic so I need to monitor BS to see if Estrogel is affecting my blood sugar. Other factors, like my condo sale and move to a rental, COVID, crap at work and a crappy life don't help getting my BS to normal range 9 months after diagnosis

Menopause Taylor, can you sometime address those of us who had our children later and are going through menopause while raising kids going through puberty? Maybe you have already, I'm relatively new here. Haven't watched all videos yet. I had my first child at 35, second at 38 and I'm newly postmenopausal. I'm also helping care for my elderly mother, a sandwich generation person. It makes everything so hard!!!

Video 67 was "how to Tell Your Kids About Menopause." Video 73 was on "Menopause and Aging Parents." In fact, videos 61 - 73 are what you're looking for. But, if you're not watching my videos in order, starting with the very first one, you're really shooting yourself in the foot (or in the head). There's no way you'r going to learn what you need to know by jumping around. I’m going to do a little begging: Please, please, go all the way back to Video 1 and watch them from the beginning. Here’s why: I’m an anal, neurotic, pedantic, perfectionistic surgeon. I put great time and energy into making sure I publish my videos in just the right order so that they are the most beneficial for you. There is absolutely nothing willy-nilly about the order. I guess you could say that my menopause series as akin to “Menopause University.” So, as tempting as it may be to watch whatever sounds interesting, you really will sabotage yourself. If you want the fast track, schedule a consultation at MenopauseTaylor.ME, or get the webinars, or read my book. They're all much faster than one video a week.

Hey good place to mention I saw the WHAM series again as things are a bit different in all directions. I kinda had this positive attitude in my recently younger days with vague surface level information. I really like this explanation. My family's move date keeps getting pushed back. I had everything packed now a mountain of useful clutter between furniture in a tiny house with my husband spending way too much time here and a very strong rambunctious puppy. Both of who I absolutely love and appreciate. I'm generally an extremely organized neat freak but I'm not terribly stressed about it With much patients I look forward to doing what I love with this move. Bake sew tie dye have a computer that stays plugged in get a kitty and find all my cute clothes. But hey my phone works my purple nails sparkle. I have a.cool dog and this life improving education.

Yes I can see the advantages... The part of where you said that now we know how to take care of ourselves we are more independent, we don't need a man , Well in my twenties and thirties and 40's I was very independent I find in my 50s I have become a needy woman and I don't recognize myself and neither does my husband. He never really saw me cry very much in my 20s 30sand 40s and now he sees me emotional over everything ...He tries to be supportive..I was raised around all men all my life I'm girl in 7 seven generation 700 years.. and I was told to suck it up. I think I'm going through a nervous breakdown😣 I really don't recognize myself and I feel weak... I was a military Bratt and now a military wife and we're almost at the end of our career and I'm pretty much done with the moving I've never had a home...You would think with all this training and experience ,and travel that I would be much stronger but it has not turned out that way. let me know if I'm crazy for not feeling the way you have described this time of life.🤔🧐🙄🤨😶yes I have viewed this video twice..

Of course you aren't crazy. Your life circumstances are different. And no tow women are alike. But, there may be things causing you to feel the way you do, and I[d love to help you find them. If you want my help, just schedule a consultation. I hate knowing that you feel so fragile. Here's how a consultation works, should you want one: 1) You would schedule a one-on-one consultation at my website, MenopauseTaylor.ME, choosing a time that is convenient for you. Most are over 30 pages. 4) I will send you the document by email 48 hours before your consultation. I hope to meet you soon!

At our weekly village meeting we're.all advocating to keep this place open my dear neighbor and long time friend had a couple ladies over to go through donations and figure out a community laundry service then I'm on her porch on the phone with a family member. I'm.enjoying all of it with strong opinions So late evening she says "you're certainly in a mood today." I responded with a "why thank you what a nice complement." And a good laugh. I also got to see the new litter of puppies and visit the mom. Really great day so much fun defending what's right. Apparently I'm getting really good at it.

Thank you for this education Dr Barbie, actually other than the hormonal stability I experienced all of those many years before like even as a late teens and early twenties like the ability to say no. But my hubby watched with me and said you know I really should have been dead years ago. I have bene in dangerous situations and I am still alive so I should celebrate that! I Just wanted to say I have always dressed kind of eccentric to according to most. I do have some victorian clothes but not alot. I have more Mandarin dresses and blouses which I had even before I knew my husband and I have Japanese Kimonos. I agree about the unisex dressing and everybody kind of dresses and acts like robots. Anyway what I wanted to tell you there are 2 beach towns in New Jersey I don't know if you have been to them but they are victorian and historic districts. They have victorian clothes that you would love. If you are ever on the east coast they are called Ocean Grove and Cape May NJ. Anyway thanks again! Love the outfit as usual!

My understanding (Dr Taylor can confirm) is that the test has to be done at a very specific time of the month in order to be reliable. Your doctor must be of the contemporary mentality that "50 is the new 40" , which is especially dangerous coming from a medical professional, since nature didn't get the memo. I'm not a doctor, but there's no way you have "a long way to go" at 55!

Evorel 50 Patches contain estradiol. Estradiol is on of the three estrogens that your body produced. Therefore, it's bioidentical. It's the only one you need at menopause. (The other ones are (1) estrone which is produced by your fat cells and makes you fat, and (2) estriol, which is produced during pregnancy to support the pregnancy.)

I can help you with this. This is precisely the kind of thing for which I do one-on-one consultations. You definitely need one. I cannot tailor things specifically to you in a comment box. It requires much more information than you can give me here, and you deserve much more information than I can give you here. No two women are alike, and addressing your situation requires tailoring all the facts specifically to YOU. I do them all via online video conferencing. You can schedule at MenopauseTaylor.ME. I look forward to meeting you and helping you.

Maybe it's because I never pursued the traditional path of the married housewife, but I had most of these all my life, except for the first 3, which are the only ones directly related to menopause. In fact, I have lost my ability to pursue my passions. This is the worst part of this period. Let's not kid ourselves, the best we can do is make the most of it, but not one of us would freely choose menopause.

I hope someday to find positives about post menopause. I never had PMS or children but I may have have had Perimenopause and I've been several years into menopause and still have at least 11of 22 symptoms. Wondering when HRT will make me feel better about anything. Can a doctor up the HRT and would they? I do not drink alcohol, I exercise (gentle walking workouts because of Frozen shoulder and arthritis) and eat fairly well. Are there any safe vitamins or anything else that could help that doesn't counteract my HRT (prempro)? Is there any easier way to use vaginal cream without an applicator to get it where it's needed and without the mess of having to wear maxipads again,- I thought I was done with that. 🙁

Kelly, The key to knowing and living the "positives" of menopause lies in tailoring the eduction specifically to YOU. This is precisely the kind of thing for which I do one-on-one consultations. It requires much more information than you can give me here, and you deserve much more information than I can give you here. I've used many: Premarin tablets, the Femring, Estradiol tablets, Estropipate, and now Divigel. I'm not partial to any of them. I just listen to my body. If my body is happy, I don't dissect a rose. My reasons for switching was always due to a change in manufacturing or logistics.

This is horrible. Because she has muscles? She works out! Some women have big hands and long arms, etc. I myself have broad shoulders and I’m fully female. My sister has very large hands she’s 5’10 and got her size from my dad. She’s female! Ugh. Keep your ignorance to yourself. Even if Dr Barbara said she was born male (which I’m confident she wasn’t) it wouldn’t change my opinion of her. She’s passionate, educated and informative as all hell.
