I’m just learning React and when I first got started I thought okay it should be something like vanilla JavaScript and something different here and there….. I was deeply wrong. Declarative programming is so much different from imperative, coming from me a beginner of course.

When learning web-dev I found react a huge upgrade from vanilla JavaScript, it took some time to do it the ‚react‘ way but I find it a good structure and if you understood the basics, it’s not that hard. Although I hadn’t used any other JS frameworks, so I can’t compare react with other ones.

Have started with react around end of last year as was required in some project and now started to get better in javascript and react with redux etc this year is my goal so now i can comfortably say i am a good full stack developer as have worked a lot in backend and even with deployment but in front end have knowledge but the fluidity is less. I am planning to make some projects and other to get more handson experience in react and then try for a good switch when the tech layoffs start to stop.

I’ve been building my college capstone project with Svelte and the experience so far has been phenomenal. I picked it up pretty quickly (especially since I don’t have much experience with front-end frameworks) and I absolutely love using it.

react? if you know html and java (javascript-typescript) you can learn it in 1-2 months (so that you can learn hooks, communicating with backend apis, etc.)

personally learning react was hard, I picked up angular and found it easier and more structured, so I always get a little annoyed when people say angular has a steeper learning curve.

Bootstrap was popular and it still is but with time, TailWind is gaining a lot of popularity I’d say that if you’ve mastered the Grid System, Bootstrap isn’t that useful anymore But it’s an interesting framework for those who prefer to do backend stuff and want to setup a front-end part really quickly to test their features

Can someone help me decide? We built a mobile app for a client using Flutter with Firebase as our backend. Then we built a web app using Flutter as well to control data and all that. The web app is pretty much for administration (send out push notifications) enter data into Firestore and so on so that the mobile app users have a nice experience. We built that app in Flutter web which we are not that happy with because it doesn’t feel right. We just wanted to use Flutter because we build the mobile app with it. Any recommendations on a framework? We have some experience with Angular but want to go with either Svelte Kit or React. Which one would you choose by keeping in mind that we are using Firebase?

Can't go wrong with react! You can even use React-Native to create multi platform app just like flutter and export it to a desktop app using electron, it can be a bit hard to wrap your head around it, but is very reliable, you could also choose svelte or even vue for something much lighter

But React in the web will be better than Flutter Web. Might just get started on React if I have to learn something nea
